What kind of Amex do you all have that are getting this offer? I get sign up offers all the time from them but never wanted to add another card, especially one with a fee. Offers like this might make it worth it though. Thanks!!

I had the offer on my AMEX Blue Cash Everyday card.

Can you all explain about the December 4 Target sale please?
Thank you.

On December 4 Target is selling Target gift cards for 10% off. They've done this for the past two years. The sale runs for one day only. In the past there was limit of $300 in gift cards per person and the gift cards weren't activated until the next day to keep people from cycling them through.

If anyone is holding mPlus (mPlaces) Rewards you can cash them in today for a discounted WalMart gift card.
Normally a $10 gift card would cost 25,000 points but for the next 12 hours or so, it costs 12,500 points. This has to be done through their affiliate app Cricket Rewards.

I've only been doing mPlus halfheartedly lately and didn't even have the Cricket app but it was easy to install and redeem right away.
My accumulated points normally would be worth $20 but today I was able to get $40. :-)

Thank you. I did that last year, but it was Dec 20. Are we sure it will be Dec 4 this year? Looking at old credit card bill, I must have gone to 2 different stores and was able to get the deal at each. I then later used the Target gift card to buy Disney gift card. Can you still do that?
Also, last year, Target had a deal on Dec 10 & 11 where you bought 2 gift cards of $25 or more, and got a $5 Target card. Has any "heads-up" info been leaked about them doing that again this year, and if so, what dates? I read about it on the Dis, and my Targets were out of them early in the AM. This year I am going to WDW 12/10, so hoping they do it again, but earlier. I was hoping that was the Dec 4 deal you all were referring to.

Last year was December 20, the year before it was Black Friday. There are definitely ways around the $300 limit by going to multiple stores, or even visiting the same store multiple times. It was also available online. I haven't heard anything about the buy two $25 gift cards get a 5$ Target card for this year, but i'm sure someone will post about it if they hear something. I was hitting up all four Targets in my area trying to find $25 Disney gift cards and only managed to find one in spite of them showing hundreds of them in stock. A few days after the sale ended, I saw tons of them in the store. Both the December 4 and the buy 2 get a $5 GC deal equal a 10% savings. IMO the December 4 deal gives you more flexibility since you're not at the mercy of trying to find $25 gift cards in stock.

Ugh. I thought I was DONE with Target gift cards. I did the Staples deal but didn't check here first and bought Disney gift cards instead.

Thank you, Eighty8Keys. Are you a pianist?

Are we still able to buy Disney gift cards with Target gift cards?

Yes I do play, although not quite as much as I used to. Not many people get the reference.

Yes you can buy Disney with Target in store although occasionally you'll come across a cashier that insists it can't be done. The registers allow it so I'll ask them to please try. Using self checkout avoids the issue.

You can use your Redcard but there is no additional discount since the Redcard 5% does not apply to Target GC's.

and to confirm (since I've never done this before)....I can purchase Disney gift cards from Target using the Target gift cards (that I'd buy on 12/4 at the 10% discount). right?!

I logged into Staples to make a purchase for work and saw this. I didn't see any terms for the coupon, but it would be nice if you could purchase gift cards with it!

"Put the planet first. Pocket a $10 coupon.*
During the week of November 13, take your outdated tech to Staples for recycling and you’ll get a $10 off $20 coupon that you can use in December. See, and you thought your old technology was worthless."

Is everyone pretty sure you can use a Target e-gift card to buy a physical Target card in the store? I have the offer on several Amex cards and was planning to just buy Disney physical cards at Staples ( and suffer the $1.99 shipping fee). TIA.
I have not done that. I have used Target ecards and physical cards to get a Disney card at Target, and did not pay shipping.

Has anyone received their target gift card from staples yet?

It's been over 24 hours now and nothing.

If I recall, I waited a couple of days at least for my order to arrive the last time there was a Staples Amex offer. Longer than I felt it should have taken, considering it was an e-gift card.

Here are the American Express cards that have no annual fee:

Blue Cash Everyday
Hilton HHonors
Everyday
Blue Sky
Blue
Plenti

They also have 2 small business cards which have no annual fee:

Simply Cash Plus
Lowe's

on 12/5 yes

It is a YMMV thing since occasionly people are refused at Target but in general, this still seems to be working in the store. Use self checkout if available.

Thank you! I had been using most of the m+ apps, until I saw that they were using up too much of my data allotment for the month. But I am trying to get up to 12500 today (I was just under 12000) - with double value, it's worth it again.
