Disney Gift Card Deals

Anyone have experience ordering the $500 sams disney gift cards? They limit 1 per order, so I placed 3 orders, hoping they don't all cancel.
I had no idea they were back in stock! Never ordered one, because I hadn't seen one available until today.

I guess you missed the second sentence of my original post, see below.

Just a reminder, many of the Disney hotels can be purchase through Orbitz or Expedia at 15 - 25% off, so buying gift cards at 10% off to pay for the hotel may not make sense. I know last summer Orbitz had the All Star resorts at 15% off (and that was off the Disney sale price), I only gift cards because I got them by churning through ebay and Best Buy and was up to 30% off.
Thanks, I did see that, but I really just didn't realize it runs out that fast because I notice a lot of offers on my account that just sit there for a long time. No worries though, I did act on it and added to all 3 of our cards.

I haven't used mine yet but I noticed the instructions say to give it to a "blue shirt" to scan to find out how much your certificate is worth. I plan to find someone other than a cashier to scan so I don't have to wait in the checkout line.

Mine expires 11/5. I plan on spending it tomorrow!

Mine was 5....used it toward a 25.00 card....every little bit helps!! It would be nice if someone on here got a big one though!

I had ordered 2 of them back in July and August to pay for our WDW trip, when I went to buy them a week ago for our DCL trip they were sold out, been checking daily and they just came back today. Then I found out they were limited, on the main page they say 1 per member, but on the item page it says 1 per order, so I placed 3 orders and paid the 99 cent shipping three times but hopefully they all ship it will save me $75 bucks in the end...well plus the disney visa 1% (wish usamsclub.com was considered a 2% store, but oh well

Regarding the current BB promotion...
I quickly glanced at the payout distributions of the prizes. There are ~1300 prizes >$5 and ~13m prizes = $5. So you have a 99.99% of getting a $5 off code.

This has probably been posted here (don't have time to read back, off to work), but I got a Amex offer for a $25 statement credit for a $100 purchase at BJ's.

I just switched one of my travel cc to an Amex to diversify. Do the offers come by email or do you routinely check your accounts? And are the random or do they release at certain times each month?

I get an email usually each month - but it doesn't always say what all of the offers are in the email. I look on my account to see that way.

I usually see it from one of my deal/travel subscription emails first. This morning, I got the BJ's heads up from Danny the Deal Guru. I also try to check my accounts a couple times/week.

BJs has a free three month membership for new members. I signed up for something similar about 18 months ago. Anyone know how they define new members?

I would like to know this too. My husband has a membership in his name only thats about to expire next month. I wonder if I can get one in my name or if will reject due to the same address.

Unfortuntly Disney Hotels are not available on Orbitz, ect beyond 2016. It remains to be seen if they will just be released late or not at all. The 15% stacked on top of Disney promos always seemed too good to be true.

But your point is a good one. I've done alot of thinking on this even have a spreadsheet related to it. In "old churning" I was doubling, tripling my money so it was a no brainer, no sale would ever beat that. But in current "discounted gift cards" 10% savings seems like a realistic estimate. Any deal I can get for better than 10% I snatch up. (For example the recent Southwest / United Vacations deals on tickets was an 18+% saving for me. Beats any current discounted GC deal.)

Right now I am working towards discounted GC to cover my in park expenses (meals and souvenirs) since I can't buy that anywhere else at a discount. If Orbitz doesn't offer Disney hotels soon I will have to try to collected discounted GC to cover my hotel too.

Was just checking out some Black Friday and Pre-Black Friday sales ads. Sam's Club is running a Holiday Savings Celebration event on Saturday, November 12th. There is a deal on on "select gift cards" for 30% off. Of course, we won't know which cards are included yet. Thought it might be worth checking out.

Will Sams let me buy one of these with a Sams gift card? Anyone know? I was planning to use my newly acquired Sams gift cards for groceries, but 30% might be too good to ignore.

I just stopped by to post this! I got it on 3 of my cards.....

My Best Buy reward certificate was worth ... $5. Reading @PerfessorZ's post, I knew the odds going in so I had a variable load card ready to put $255 on it ($250 to meet the Amex offer). The funny thing was the cashier called "$5" before she even scanned the coupon.

Mine was worth $5 too. Even though I knew the odds were not in my favor, there was still a small bit of hope that I would be the big winner. Purchased a $30 Disney gift card with my Amex giving me $25 of the $250 I need to spend to get the statement credit. Will likely wait until late in December to spend the remaining $225. We're trying to make the minimum spend on two chase sapphire reserve cards to get the 100k signup bonuses, so all spending has to go on those cards until we do.

Did you guys get your email from Amex thanking you for using the offer? I know they send them really quickly after the card was used and curious if this was true for this offer too.

Thank you!
Heather
