Good luck!Me over here waiting for some sort of bonus offer to upgrade.
Same! I’ve had them in the past going from free to Premier. Our household can definitely support 2 Inspire cards soMe over here waiting for some sort of bonus offer to upgrade.
Can you refer your DH to the Inspire. You would get $100 Referral and then he would get the $600 in Instant Gift Card/Statement Credit. You can always cancel this card after a year if you don't get the benefits from it and just keep your current Disney card.Hmmm.....$600 is a lot more than $300, lol. Gives me twice as much reason to consider not just applying.
Yes, I did this with my wife and her Inspire. NEVER put any spouse or kid on your CC if you ever plan to "refer" them for a bonus later. Can you refer your DH to the Inspire. I didn’t have an issue referring my spouse for a Chase sapphire card after they were an authorized user for several years…Yes, I did this with my wife and her Inspire. NEVER put any spouse or kid on your CC if you ever plan to "refer" them for a bonus later.
You can absolutely use room charge for QS.But you can't put Genie Plus on the room charges, so I guess we would need to use gift cards to only pay for Lightning Lanes and charge all food back to the room, but we can't do that with quick service, so I don't know if I can actually get to the $2000 room folio charge?
But you can't use room charge for mobile order QS except at Aulani; you have to order in person to be able to use room charge. You can absolutely use room charge for QS.
True! GCs would be great for that. But you can't use room charge for mobile order QS except at Aulani; you have to order in person to be able to use room charge.
My premiere card has a LOT lower APR interest rate, so I basically just opened the Inspire card to get that $600 and the other incentives. I'll probably only use it for Disney purchases and pay them off immediately unless I can somehow convince them to match the other card's APR.
Plan is to drop the older card down to the basic no fee model shortly.
I'm the sort that just likes to order in person. I tried Mobile Order a few times on Boardwalk Deli and got a less than appetizing sandwich. Blamed it on mobile order. But you can't use room charge for mobile order QS except at Aulani; you have to order in person to be able to use room charge.
I strongly agree. Credit card interest will eat you alive if you're carrying a balance. There were times in my past where I was really struggling financially and carried a balance, and that interest really added up. If you can get ahead of the curve and avoid the interest, it really pays off. IMHO, it is not worth going into debt to get some of these perks & incentives.I just don't pay interest no matter what rate they are offering me. In my younger years, yes, I did. If you can at all avoid it, try to do so.
In the long run, to be free from paying any interest is worth a lot more than these incentives.
There's no reason to separate it out except the psychological feel that you are putting 'free' funds aside for vacation. That might help some to budget as it did myself when I was supporting my family as they grew up and continued through life. Now, all educated and paid for and just me except for the usual family gifts and some trips, so I don't have to put a big stock into designating funds for one thing or another.First statement posted, looks similar to Flash_Sloth in terms of how everything is categorized with a DVC purchase and dues. Am I missing anything with the plan to just use the PYB balance immediately -- any any reason to save it?
