Disney Gift Card Deals

I hope so! It all comes down to target not changing their policy on GC between now and then!
Hopefully they don't. I mean they don't lose on us using our gc's to purchase in store as we don't get extra savings. And things like Raise, Target puts gc's there themselves, so it doesn't make sense to me that they would stop allowing that. Plus with a sale like that, they'd certainly lose a lot of sales they would have, I think, if we couldn't use the gc's to then purchase Disney or other gc's. I'd definitely not be buying any Target gc's and I'm sure many others would not as well.

Just a heads up on that Southwest Vacations ticket deal. Turns out that at sometime today, Wednesday, they pulled the ticket deal, even though it was listed as available until 11/30/16 at 6 p.m. cst. Actually if you follow this link it still goes to the same first page with the dates still listed and to grab a great ticket deal, but when you follow it through the sale spriced tickets are no long there. Rather, the prices seem to be the same as the Disney prices.

I'm gonna keep an eye on it just in case, but not likely to be available I don't think. Maybe so many people were buying this deal they decided to back out of it, which really stinks, But, then, why put the specific end date, and instead pull in just a short time(it actually started on 10/3). I, of course, did not buy my ticket I wanted in time so I missed out on this deal. Ugh. But, DD26 was looking to get her DF a ticket and surprisingly they bought it shortly after I told her about it so I'm glad they got it at least. Hopefully those who wanted to do this deal did it already!

If you previously saved the tickets you wanted in your southwest vacations account, you may still be able to book it. I had the tickets saved but was waiting to buy incase a better deal came along. After I read on here that the deal was no longer available, I logged into my account. To my surprise, my tickets were still saved and I was able to check out 6 MYW base tickets for $1507.

Target 10% off GCs questions...

Does anyone remember, could you make multiple transactions online, as long as they all total $300 together? Or is it just one?

Also, are we still allowed to buy a target gc with another target gc online?

Lastly, can we buy multiple cards online (if I can't do multiple transactions)

TIA!!

With the Dec. 4 Target deal of 10% off GCs, if you purchase with your REDcard do you get an additional 5% off? Or can you even purchase Target GCs with the REDcard?

IIRC, I was only able to do one transaction of $300 with my Target account. Then we made a separate account for my husband so he could order $300 as well. I don't remember trying to do more than that, but I'm pretty sure people reported not being able to do more than $300 on one Target site account.

Are you talking about going through Discover Deals? If so, I think gift cards are excluded. However, Sams is one of the 5% categories for the current quarter, so you can get 5% back on any purchase at Sams this quarter, including online. There is no exclusion for gift cards mentioned. The only exclusion mentioned is for gas, so I would fully expect to receive the 5% for gift card purchases. Chase Freedom also has warehouses (Sams included) again this quarter in their 5% deal and I know theirs includes gift cards (bought a bunch last quarter for a late September trip).

Oh I thought that was part of the current quarter deal. Thanks for the clarification. I just realized it's better for me to use my Chase since I Discover is giving 5% on Amazon this quarter.

Can anyone confirm whether the redcard/giftcard stack still works on Target.com non-gift card items like toys and whatnot? Just looking for an exit strategy in case I run into problems buying Disney GC's with Target GC's in store because the last time I tried (May) I was denied at my local Target and I don't know of any Targets in my area with self checkout lanes.

Do you mean when spending the gift card? If so yes, you can make multiple transactions. As a "gift card" it will spend like any other Target gift card. Some states, like CA, have rules governing "gift cards" so you're generally safe using them on your schedule. The watch out words for deals like this are "promo card" & "coupon code". (I just got a reminder of that with a $25 coupon code from eBay that turned out to be 1 time use only, use it all or lose it! So many deals like that over the Holidays but the Target gift card deal last year was not.)

Yes, still works.

P.S. One of my local Targets has a paper sign that says no alcohol or gift card purchases at self checkout.

Hopefully we are still allowed to buy target GC with target GC in the store otherwise the deal is very comparable to the Sam's/ CC cash back deal.

I am not really sure target cares about loosing some sales. Where retailers make a lot of money in GC that never get used. I know I have not order anything in target. Com since they change their policy online so I am sure it is costing them sales.

So they said there is no way for their system to accept GC as payment for convention rate tickets...not sure what to do about that. Where's the best place to try to sell these? Raise doesn't appear to take disney GC anymore.

You are 100% right. I haven't ordered 1 thing from target since the change. I wasn't the type to just add a filler item either. I trained my daughter to write things on a pad that she needs like deodorant tampons and school supplies. Sometimes it would be an extra $50. They are not seeing a penny of my everyday spend anymore.

No I meant buying up to $300 in gift cards in multiple transactions. Or, do you only get one transaction (online) no matter if you bought a $25 or a $300 gift card. If I can't do multiple transactions, I can I purchase multiple GCs (up to $300 total) in one transaction (for example 12 $25 GCs)
