Disney Gift Card Deals

My local Sam's club has been out of stock of Disney gift cards. I ordered online. If you look carefully under the item description, it states free shipping. I screenshot it, and called Sam's club to complain about the shipping charges. They verified it, gave me a reference number, and had me call back for a refund of shipping after I received the cards. This was at the beginning of the month, and they still haven't changed the description.

The rep I spoke with also stated that he doesn't anticipate getting the $500 back in stock at all, as they've been out since March 2016.

@Minniekins,
Yes I did email one time before the delivery date to ask when shipped or if there was any tracking info and got no response. I also emailed the morning of the first day I could file a claim and waited about 12 hrs for a response before opening it. No response then either.
Thanks again, Minnie368!

Well, this has gotten pretty strange for sure. Used DD26's ebucks to purchase a $450 target gc for $400. I still haven't heard from the seller nor received my Target gc. Purchased last Tues about 3 a.m. Delivery was listed as Oct 15 - 20. Late Monday evening, Oct 17th, I got a notification that the item was shipped. So I opened my ebay account to check the details on expected delivery. Was shocked to see it was listed as delivered on Sat the 15th! So I checked the mailbox as well as tore the house apart and the car(pick up mail thru the car window), but nothing. So Tues afternoon, after mail delivered again and still nothing, I called the post office. Checked tracking # and item was delivered on Sat at 4:55 pm(which I saw, also). Didn't make any sense and he kept looking at his info, and then I happened to mention my address and he said, nope, I have this other address. It had an address several blocks away, so street name and # was not even close to mine. It had no name on the postal log, just address. It had shipped from Orlando, though the listing had said it would be coming from Jonesville, LA.
The mailman says he remembers delivering a silver foil package to an older gentleman (it was a late delivery so he remembered it), that he'd been delivering to for years. Very strange. And the ebay account of course says it was delivered on Sat, too. But today when I looked at the shipping icon on ebay, it said the item was shipped on Monday, Oct 17th, right next to saying it was delivered on the 15th! I was checking that several times a day. And, though not sure on this point, I thought it said the 13th when I looked on Monday night after getting the notification. But, not sure on that. This whole thing doesn't make any sense and we can't figure out how the tracking number is wrong but being delivered to an address just a few blocks from mine. And to top it off, the seller still hasn't responded to either of my emails to him, which seems very weird if it was just a case of the tracking number being off. So, I'm going to wait for tomorrow's mail delivery, then put in the request to ebay for them to step in, because it's already listed as delivered, though the ship date is after that, and the seller has not responded to my attempts to contact him.
Even spending my ebucks can't be easy anymore, lol. Hate having to worry about this and if ebay will help. The only proof I have, other than what my ebay account shows, is a copy from the post office of the info they had showing the tracking number from my ebay account connected to the item they had for delivery to a different listed address than mine. What a mess, again. Ugh!

Do you all order them online? I am wondering if I should wait until they are in stock in my store. Postage isn't that much, but I have a long time before I need these cards.

What does Sam's sell the $150 pack for? BJ's sells the $150 pack for only 1.4% off, the $50 for ~2%, the $25 for 4.4% and the $100 for 5.1%.

The $150 pack is $142.98 plus .99 shipping on samsclub.com

If you do buy them in store, pay attention because I just bought done and they all rang up at $143.98. The sign said $142.98 and they adjusted the price. Looks like maybe they are going up $1.

Here is a deal I am getting.

Discover Card is giving 5% Cashback at Sam's up to $1500 on purchases through December

1.Buy 3X$50 Gift Card Packs at $142.98...Save $7.02
2. Discover CashBack 5%...$7.15

Net Cost for $150 in Gift Cards is $135.83 for a Savings of 9.45%

You can do this ten packs to stay under the $1500,

Total would be $1429.80 with Cashback of $71.49
That is a savings of $141.69 on $1500 worth of GC

I am doing this only I have been buying 2 of the $150 packs the last couple of times I shopped there. Just to space the bill out a bit through December.

I need some help from the eBay gift card experts. Since all of the rule changes, I have not bought eBay gift cards in awhile. I've been going through papers and found some print-outs of electronic eBay gift cards that I had ordered from Target about a year ago. I am 99% sure that I used the codes but I'm wanting to double-check before I get rid of them. However, when I try to check the balance on the eBay website, I get an error message: "Oops, we can't find a gift card with that number. Please check your 13-digit code and try again." I am sure that I am entering the code correctly. This is happening with about a dozen codes (same error message). Should I call eBay? Target? Check somewhere else online?

Thanks!

I did exactly this at the beginning of October; bought ten packs to purchase Annual Passes for our trip next year. Nice savings with the Cashback combination. We will pick up a pack or two each month until our trip to cover the room costs....regular discount is still better than full price.

This is what I would like to do too. But I am not a Sam's Club member. Family is so, I need to tag along with them. Or figure if I can order online on their membership.
I really don't want to get a membership. I waste so much money there.

Another added component- You can use your Discover cash back to buy discounted gift cards. I just ordered some Sears GC ($50 for $45) to try to convert to Disney GC at Kmart.

I know it's not a deal for churning, but those who have been on the lookout for lowes cards ebay has a $100 gc with a $15 bonus code for $100. It's ppdg selling it though.

Has anyone ever returned something paid partly with eBay bucks. I ordered a suitcase and received the wrong size and they are out of stock of the correct one. Will the money go back to eBay bucks, will it still expire nov 1?

I think that it depends. I returned an item purchased from the Target ebay store to my local Target and was given cash. But that's their policy. Another vendor might credit your PayPal account and it's very likely to go back to whatever the original form of payment was.

Here is an update to the DoctorOfCredit article about the PPDG cards that were zeroed out:
http://www.doctorofcredit.com/paypal-digital-gifts-hacked-last-month/

"If you had your balances drained…
Being that this is a widespread problem, you can get a refund by contacting PPDG support. They aren’t re-issuing the gift cards, instead preferring to refund the payment.

If it was purchased on eBay, it’s easy to open a case through the eBay system. Hopefully, this will result in a phone-free resolution.
[Note, for eBay purchases, there’s a good chance that they’ll refund the credit card and not a Paypal-balance refund. Regardless, the refund might result in a negative eBay Bucks balance.]"

Thanks for posting this - it gives me hope again that maybe I'll get my money back. I've called four times, always getting the same spiel and response with no resolution - not even a "we're unable to refund your money" just nothing. I had started telling myself that basically it was just like being robbed - no one is able to give you that money back. It sucks, but it is what it is. So, I'll try again today.

@Minnie368 - I attempted to purchase a gift card similar to you, although mine never shipped. Long story short, I was able to get my money (eBay bucks) refunded. I think you have enough evidence that they will side with you, and I think they are much more inclined to side with the purchaser anyway. I hope you can get it resolved quickly!

Didn't know you could use multiple # of gift cards to purchase APs. I enjoy DVC discount and are limited to # of forms of payment when calling/buying, believe it's 2 per transaction as to APs/ticketed events.

Hoping Giant Eagle has the double fuel perks over Black Friday for Disney GCs again. On approx 30 gallons of fuel, it typically is best savings for us.
