ok, this is getting really fustrating, I never get any of these bonus buck promotions what am I doing wrong? on another note, can I use my hubbies ebay account if he gets one with my paypal?

Have you signed up for the eBay Bucks program? If so, have you opted in to receive eBay Bucks offers/communications? If so, try deselect the option to receive communications, log out, and reselect it all again. That seems to work for some people. Others report having had to buy a few things on eBay before they started receiving eBay Bucks offers. And yes, your husband's account should be able to use your PP.

So I got the 8% offer on my two established accounts. Nothing on the new one I opened. Of course, the two established accounts are well above the $2k/60 so I'm sitting this one out. I would be rolling at least $2000 through today, with maybe doubling that since I'm going to Best Buy later today, so count that as lost sales for eBay. Really hoping they get the message soon from all of us who are holding out. I'm not spending any cash on eBay. It just doesn't make any sense, honestly. We need a new pressure cooker for canning and it's $285 on Amazon but I have GCs that are rolled down to 50% off. There's a used pressure cooker on eBay for $125 which I would go for if I could use my GCs, but for $20 difference ($142.50-$125), I'll go with the new one with quick shipping and the manuals etc. eBay is losing every which way. I am hoping they wise up soon. Does anyone have any speculation on why they've imposed this limit (other than the normal "GCs are associated with fraud")? I was wondering if there was any pressure from PayPal or laws etc.

Do you really think they are losing money on you? I highly doubt they make money from people who only buy using gift cards they bought at a discount, and only buy when they have the ebay bonus bucks.

I think we should all be thankful that we can churn gift cards back and forth between ebay and best buy. It has saved some of us here anywhere from 15 - 50% on the cost of our Disney trips. And we all know that sooner or later this opportunity will end - and we will move on to something else. To sit here and complain about the gift card limits is ludicrous. Be happy that ebay and best buy allow you to buy gift cards with gift cards in the first place.

This limit is not really new, just reinstated. The old limit use to be 5,000 in 180 rolling period (6 month). When eBay and PayPal split, the limit went away. I am really not surprised it came back. It's in a different form, but actually on average you can spend more than the prior limit (1,000 a month on average vs 833 in old limits).

I saw that too and we are planning to go to Disney Springs too. Let me know what you find out! We are going in November.

RE: the Amex Offer for a $5 statement credit for a $25+ purchase at Sprinkles. I received a reply from them about whether an e-gift card can be used in store at the Disney Springs location.

Here's what they had to say:

"Our email-able gift cards are good for both online and in-store purchases just as our other gift cards are. Hope to see you in soon!"

Since the offer ends October 1 and our trip isn't until January, I'm going to purchase a $25 e-gift card to take with us.

I have a Kmart that I've churned through with no problems. I've never used an e-gift card though. Anyone have experience with the egifts at Kmart? I bought one to try it out, but it is such an awesome deal with the ebucks bonus in place, I'd love to get 2 more!

I got the 4x offer and would have to begin churning all over again with cash funds since I cashed out on eBay. What would be a good starting place for this offer if only Walgreens and Best Buy were in-play? My next trip that I am saving for is in February.

I was so involved with swagbucks this morning, that I didn't check my email or this site, but fortunately I got a text from ebay!
The promotion I got was 4X/8% for all purchases over $50, 6X/6% for those over $25, 2X/4% those under $25.
Took a chance on how many ebay gift cards I could use, and put them all toward Walgreens. So glad I got this - I'm finally double digits with ebucks.

Now to check my paypal account and savings to see how much I can spend on other things!

I just ran $300 through. Typically you need manager approval if using e-gift card versus a physical card. The cashier tried to scan bar code on my phone with the reader and it would not take. I just offered to read her the gift card number and pin and they all took without an issue. Reloaded and ready to try again. I'm well over the $2K/60 limit, but for some reason it allowed my order this morning to go through, so I will try to do it again with something else shortly.

yup, done all this several times, I can remember getting a few of the bonus one last year when I wasn't churning, but now that I've read all this and really want to save some money, as I just got into doing the disney races, I haven't seen one promotion all year. last quarter I bought a bunch of stuff thru ebay that had nothing to do with my churning and still nothing, unless I'm just not looking in the right place?

Like others have said, it varies so much from person to person. I would not even begin to know what tips to give you and I have been churning since Oct 2015. But so much has changed in the last few months. What worked two weeks ago (Gamestop) is not working anymore, and what worked last week (Walgreens) seems to maybe becoming even more YMMV. The churning process has become far more work, much less lucrative and not nearly as fun as it used to be. I have bought nothing on this latest ebay promo b/c I am just not sure I want to deal with the headache of it all.

Hi,
Just got back from a great trip to Disneyland... So many new things -- we hadn't been there in 10 years! :) World of Color, Frozen Show, Ariel's Grotto, Hyperspace Mtn, Carsland, just so much to see, we had 3 days and could have stayed forever!

So what's this about Gamestop? Are they not doing GC-GC any more?

I see there's a new limit on Ebay GC payments, $2k in 60 days... that doesn't seem that bad, provided there is something worthwhile to exchange.

What I have been doing is cash to BB (PPDG) same day flip back to eBay then gc to Walgreens for double ebucks on same cash and also shop kicks from bb.

Even more YMMV. Seems like some GS will still allow you to use their GC to purchase most other GCs; some will not allow any GC-to-GC as a matter of policy; and in no case can you use a GC to buy eBay or open loop cards because there seems to have been an update to their POSA system that now bars it.

There is a new Amex offer for $50 back on a $300 airfare purchase now through 10/31 for anyone looking to buy their Disney airline tickets :)
