Disney Gift Card at Meijer get $5 off next shopping trip

I did this when we bought our new grill from Wally World, got a $50 walmart gift card for the grill purchase. Then I turned around and bought the items I was planning to purchase other than the grill and used the walmart gift card for those purchases.

ANOTHER savings at Walmart I just did is if I bought a 2pk of printer ink, Mine was HP brand, I got a $10 walmart gift card. Was planning on saving it, but a day later my hubbies trac phone died, used the walmart gift card when I purchased the phone. (we do not use cell phone much, so it saves us another monthly bill.

There are GC promotions at WalMart for buying things? Like at Target? Never seen this before.

Yes, have taken advantage of a few, the latest was the HP printer in pkg, got me a $10 gift card. I did not see that one advertised, but since my daughter works at Walmart, I am going to ask her to try to pass the info to my so I can pass it to this forum.

Early this summer I got $50 gift card when I purchased the outdoor grill I was planning to buy, just got it a week earlier than planned, but saved money and got the gift card. Used the gift card to buy groceries that time.

The have signs about the gift cards, but you have to keep a sharp eye out for them. Worth it when you find one and were planning to make that purchase anyway, in my case both times.

Gosh, can't wait to try this out. I have never even seen Disney gift cards at Meijer before. I have been buying them at Giant Eagle to get my money off gas. I have some to buy for our upcoming trip. Can't wait to try it out. Thanks for posting this!

I don't think you will have any trouble using more than one of the $5 off coupons in the same transaction. I get the $2 off your next purchase when you buy_____ all the time and sometimes I save them up and use them in one shot and it's never been an issue. You can only EARN one per transaction but I don't think there are any rules on using them.

I was doing the same thing yesterday and had the same question. I didn't have time to confirm, but the cashier told me if they have them, the cards will be in or near the photo department.

We are going out of town and I can't confirm until next week.

Our Meijer's has a stand alone display with all the different gift cards, this is in one of the main isles as you enter the store, also they have some at the check out.

Hope you find them! With a special going on they should have them out where you can find them easily.

Hey all - I'm back from double Meijer run!

Here's the results of my "research":

Both the $25 gift card and the any amount card (when you put $25) print out a $5 coupon.

You cannot put $25 on an any amount card twice. It causes trouble, trust me.

You cannot roll the coupon onto the next disney card purchase. Not only will it not take $5 off, it will also prevent a $5 coupon from printing.

The $5 coupon says Limit one coupon per transaction per day. I broke my transactions into a little over $5 each and got to use 7 coupons before I was told no more for that day.

So you can't cash all the coupons in at once? Interesting. I usually have stacks of "$ off your next purchase" coupons and use them all at once without issue. But if I have to use them one at a time, I guess I will go in, buy the giftcard and then turn around and buy something I need for the trip with the $5. I guess I need to make a list!

OK, I just got back from a Meijer run, I only bought one Disney Gift card, sort of trial run. I will be going back with cash in hand for more cards, one at a time. Then will use my $5 off coupons for needed grocery shopping later.

I was right about the Disney gift card being on a display panel in the middle of one of the large isles, in my case between the grocery side and the general merchandise side.

Then it was off to k-mart for a plug in pumpkin with tink carved on it. I already had the Mickey one and they had a Tigger one as well, cost $10. They also had several other Disney Halloween decorations, but no room for storage for more than what I got. Looking forward to putting out Halloween now!

OK, so I found out just how much trouble it can cause to try to add $25 to the any amount card.....let's just say I had to make nice with the service desk lady, and it involved her calling the number on the back of the gift card to see how much was on there....sorry hubby and kids waiting in the car while I made a "quick trip" into Meijer

I guess I'll just have to have multiple $25 gift cards to keep track of!

I just got back. I had $200 to spend on gift cards. So I took up 8 of the $25. Had a few other things in the cart. Fortunately I had a patient cashier! I bought 7 of them with no problem, got my $5 off shopping coupons. Then the last one, I tossed in some of my merchandise, and gave a coupon. DUH! You can't do that and still expect to get another coupon! Oh well, live and learn. Still got a great deal though! I have some more to buy. and while having so many $25 gift cards may seem like a pain, I'll take the free money any day! The CM at the contemporary is probably going to hate me when I use them all to pay for my room!

Just make sure they understand right from the start they cannot swipe them. They all have to be manually keyed in. Be prepared for a long wait. BTDT but with $15 GCs to cover $1500 worth of the DDP!

Where did you buy yours? Like what city? And did you scan more than 1 coupon in the transaction? The $2 ones always say that but I can get as many as I need to scan in one transaction.

I'm in Indy too. I was at the Southport store and the cashier checked with her manager. I tried using the self scan ones but it required the worker to come and take your coupon and approve it on the screen.

What store is easy going about this? Please share!

They must have been messing with the coupons again. Meijer isn't known for their great programming skills.

Are there a lot of Disney GCs available there? I hate the greenwood store but I'll go there if I have to.
