They are annoying. We used to just turn around, go the other way, and re route. Big deal right? Then one time at DHS we went in to INdy just as it was about to start. It was packed. A cm escorted us to a section right near the top for my family of 5. One of the leaders from a Brazilian tour was following close behind us and as we arrived at the aisle seats shoved passed us knocking over my 7 year old on the hard steps. He was bleeding from his mouth, hands and knees. As we were picking him up and checking to see if he was alright, the leader ushered in a bunch of girls in her group....and they were laughing at us. And as we were walking away they were laughing and waving at us. Including the leader. The CM apologized profusely and of course DH and I were furious. She said there was nothing she could do about it. You better believe I complained. Loud. Profusely and you know what we got? 2 day passes for all the people in our family that can be used in the next 20 years. Sounds good right? No, I would rather know they dealt with them. They didn't. As much as I would like to think Disney cares about us, if it effects their bottom line, they don't.

I SO agree with you!! the cm should have gotten security and that entire group should ahve been escorted out of the show.. and probably the park! THIS!! is the problem these groups KNOW they can behave however they want and will have NO consequences. shame shame disney

that's why I said that it's better now. Much, much better than years past. There are CM with the green shirt called Brazilian International Super Greeters. I'm sure they will step in if they see unsafe behavior.

sure they will.. lol.. and then we'll all go see the fairy princess together...

and no matter how many TONS of threads like this are created.. and shut down.... indicating that this is a VERy REAL CONTINUING PROBLEM... there are always those posts from the apologists... "gee we stayed at such and such resort with a group fro that country, and there were some girls who were really nice to my kids"

we were at epcot and a tour group was really friendly!

even though, year AFTER YEAR many people post about how horrible they are. we must all be lying......

We've experienced it. Didn't bother us either. As a matter of fact - our boys didn't mind watching all those pretty girls at all and loved to interact with them.
it doesnt bother me. Its a theme park.
Now when they try to cut in line, there I have a problem.

that night at all star sports, in july that entire group should have been kicked out at 1 am, families and all... the same way they kicked out a whole groupo from Hawaii from pop warner at 3 am.. families and all at all star music. in early dec. 2 kids were fighting in the arcade. from dif. teams. yes the teams were a pain the whole week, ut no where NEAR as bad (I was there) as these Brazilian kids that July AND their "chaperones" (and I can say where they were from because it is a fact. and all week I got pretty darned tired of them trhowing my book and towel off my lounger and taking it,,, and I would tell the "chaperone" and they didn't care.. and I would tell a Cm and they didn't care. these are FACTS

I was at AK two weeks ago, and encountered 3 tour groups from South America. They were well behaved and were not chanting or yelling. They were close together and not once did I see them line cut and they were well supervised. I was surprised but these teens did their parents and country proud.I have encountered the noisy groups also.My experience over last few years are good teen tour groups are on increase.I know it is still a problem I think it may be because the of different tour companies set much different policies when touring WDW.The groups were waling 3 abreast but when. lead supervisor would shift flag to left hand ..They reformed lone two abreast.to allow more room for folks on scooters or in wheel chairs.Even for folks pushing strollers I mean these teens did it as well as marching band. So please don't let the bad make you think all are bad. So I gave them a thumbs up and smiled they waved back and smiled.REnewed my faith were going to get better, not quick enough for many so hang in there and make the best you can out of it when when you meet a bad group.Let cm's and write guest relations expressing your feelings.

I am very happy for you. this does not negate the horrible experiences of tons of guests. if we look like "whiny " " complainers" disney wont' care. and obviously it is enough of a recurring problem that these posts come up all the time,. threads like this are started so disney will take note and DO somthing to SOLVE the obvious problem.

Agree. I would have demanded security be brought in and I would have filed a report against them.

WE have to be the ones to demand for security to be brought in. If they tried to leave I would have photographed them including their group name.

I agree. We were too polite. hindsight is 20/20 and all that. Believe me, I would handle it differently now.

Completely understand. I think that is why it is good to have these threads so folks are prepared for what they might encounter and what the best course is to take.

Hearing my DD stories about what CMs deal with from them and other guests, you can sympathize with how they are so stretched with minimal backup and unable to leave their stations. Many have no access to communication on them, although the three places my DD worked she did have a phone with her. She told me tonight as we discussed this that in all their classes they are told that "if they are not comfortable implementing rules or handling ill behaved guests, then call a manager" but the problem is many of them have no way to contact one and by time one comes by the persons involved may have moved on.

I don't even know what you are talking about. I thought this thread was a silly complaint about cheerleaders from the U.S., but now you say there is some ethnic/national basis to it, and we have to sue Disney because people are tripping over bags. And this tripping is intentional, but the Irish don't trip people. I'm confused. And to be clear, the U.S. cheerleaders are the loudest, but it is Disney, with screaming, crying kids from every country, so the cheerleaders aren't really a problem.

What?

You told a CM that someone threw your property off a lounger and they didn't care? I have a hard time believing that. Did you see who threw your stuff off your lounger? I would have needed someone to restrain me from going over there, picking them up by their shirt collar, and launching them into the deep end of the pool.

What I also found to be a bit rude was when 50 young adults thought that waiting for a Meet-n-Greet was OK. I dunno, maybe letting some little children not have to wait an hour just seems to be common courtesy. Then again, witnessing the way some adults act blocking little children at Parades and such - this should not surprise me.

This isn't rude behavior. This is called queuing. Anyone is entitled to wait for anything. I'm out of college now but back when I was, if my fraternity and I had wanted to schedule a Disney trip and que for Anna & Elsa every morning, we'd be entitled to do so. Same goes with parades. Last one there is a rotten egg.

I cant imagine being part of a big touring group in a theme park. It seems incredibly hectic. Mostly for the organizers, but even just being there.
They dont really split up, and just the logistics of everyone on bathroom breaks and all that. omg, just the thought is stressing me out :D

Then you missed the entire point.

I was being too kind in my description, but all too many times adults cut in front of children or smaller adults at Parades who have already 'claimed their space'.

And if you're example is about rotten eggs, I'm guessing you subscribe to the notion that size matters and are merely punctuating that it's tough to be a bug.

Rude is rude…..like blocking an exit so others cannot leave….like cutting in line because 20 of your friends are already ahead of others….

And no, everyone is not entitled to wait for anything - little children cannot ride many rides, that's what makes some of those Meet-n-Greets important, so the little children have something to do while others ride the height restricted Thrill rides.

Guess that puts my family in the rude category-we wait for character Meet and Greets. If we've camped out an hour for a parade spot we're not giving it up children or not. IMO their family should have thought to stake out a spot. I take no issue at all if these young adults want to meet the characters-that's part of the fun and they have every right to participate in that.
If you'r OK with some type of entitlements, then you'd be OK if Deluxe Resort Guests received more FP+ than those staying at less costly resorts?

I've not heard about any adults cutting in front of kids at a parade. What I have heard about is adults who've already claimed the space, and then being approached by parents asking if their precious little Johnny and Becky can slide in front. And the answer is no, they cannot.

Size has nothing to do with waiting in a line.

Yes blocking exits is rude.

Disagree. Just because kids can't wait for certain rides doesn't mean that still don't have to wait their turn for the meet n' greets. If a bunch of 25 year old men have a desire to do a meet n' greet, they can queue for it. And any kids that come will need to wait behind them.

Nothing Mom2Stich said was about entitlements. Just that people who wait for an attraction or space (adults included) are free to do so.

With regards to your question, yes I would be OK with that if that's how Disney wants to go.
