Disney Gallery closing

Today DW heard a "rumor" from a CM at our local Disney Store that the adjacent Gallery was closing and the space would be remodled as an addition to the Store's retail space. I will miss the gallery, but nebver bought any of the pricier items such as Cells or Prints. It seems to make business sense and I hope it heralds an era improvement to the Disney Store unit.
I seem to recall another post which said there were only two Galleries left, the one here in Michigan and another in New Jersey.

When I was in Vegas in January the Gallery store there had just closed and the Disney Store in the mall at Caesar's Palace was incorporating some of the Gallery stock in to their inventory. I hope they do something with the Disney Store. I was there today and it's such a letdown compared to what it was a few years ago.

There is still a Gallery / Disney Store at Great Northern Mall in North Olmsted, OH.
I think it is the only one that doen't have a wall seperating the 2. The registers are in the middle and it looks like one big store.
anyway, the Gallery is down to next to nothing as far as merchandise goes.........it looks like only the rotunda is still "Gallery". It has all the cels, LE and WDCC. They do have some cool new artwork.
But the rest of the Gallery is filled with adult sleepwear and snow globes. You really can't even tell it is a Gallery anymore. There are a few items mixed in with the sleepwear.......but nothing like it used to be.
Really SAD! The Gallery here used to do fairly good business. They haven't said anything about "closing", but it already looks like the Disney Store has taken over. And it would not be cost effective to "remodel" that portion of the store.....IMHO.
