Ok-where is this place and do we need reservations? I thought I had our plan or action but will need to change now

It is located on what was Pleasure Island. I would call about reservations before I went again. We just walked up with a party of 7 and got a table out on the deck. The dining room was full though. We were a little disappointed with our service and my mom's salad was kind of skimpy, but the rest was good. My husband didn't think it was worth the price.

This is a great app, even if it is overpriced, i could make a meal out of this and lobster soup.

This was the best part our meal! The BBQ sauce was a little tart.

This is my 1st time attempting to post a photo, so don't know if it worked. If it did, this is my dessert from Sci-Fi Dine-In...the Celebration Cheesecake with Treats...it was delicious!

The little "Celebrate Today" was white chocolate, which my DS age 8 enjoyed.

Used our snack credits at our 1st day at HS for Marble Cupcakes & a Napolean. Napolean was yummy, but couldn't finish it. DH & DS (14) liked cupcake, but said the frosting on top was too sweet & was too big to finish. My DS(8) loved it but didn't finish it either.

Any more recent Jiko pics? My family is trying it out for the first time next week and I'm nervous about it:confused:

Thanks!!

Just got back from our most recent Disney trip and finally got pictures uploaded to photobucket. Now, I am ready to post. I apologize ahead of time for the picture quality. We were in the ice room that changed colors periodically.

Our first night there, we ate at T-Rex. My son ordered the kids' pizza:

My husband ordered the ribs with slaw and baked beans. I think they were called the Mega Messa Bones.

My daughter ordered a small order of the ribs with waffle fries and mashed potatoes. She was supposed to get a double order of waffle fries not mashed potatoes but the potatoes turned out to be delish.

I ordered the appetizer sampler plate as an entree. My sampler had Brachiosaurus Bruschetta, chips and queso dip, T-Rexadillas and onion rings.

Here you go! We had dinner as part of our Wanyama Safari at AKL. The food was served family-style for this package but I'm pretty sure each item is available on the regular Jiko menu.

APPETIZER PLATTER:
-Curried Samosas Crispy Pockets w/Potato, Sweet Corn, & Sweet Tamarind Dipping Sauce.
-Duck Cornfit Salad w/Poached Pear, Dabo Croutons, Mustard-shallot Vinaigrette and Goat Cheese.
-Spiced Briouats Pulled Beef Rolled in Naan w/Tomato-date Jam

ENTREE PLATTER:
Oak-grilled Filet Mignon w/Macaroni & Cheese & Red Wine Sauce

Maize-Crusted Pacific Halibut w/Vegetables of the Moment & Tomato-Butter sauce:

Chicken platter: Chermoula Tanglewood Chicken w/Goat Cheese Potatoes, Preserved Lemons & Harissa. I did not get a picture of this platter but here is a shot of my plate with all three entrees - the chicken is on the left:

The beef entree was very good but the halibut was AMAZING!!!!! So, so good! I did not care for the chicken entree at all. I didn't like the blend of spices and quite frankly, couldn't even stand the smell of it! To be fair, others in our party enjoyed it.

DESSERT PLATTER:
-House-made Meyer Lemon Curd w/Pomegranate & Blueberry Compote, White Chocolate Biscotti, & Sour Cream Ice Cream.
-Tanzanian Chocolate Cheesecake w/Chocolate Ganache, Amarula Sauce, & Lavendar ice cream.
-Pistachio Creme Brulee with a chocolate-layered bottom.

Ok, so I just went back ten pages on the restaurant board and cannot find the alcohol porn thread. I've noticed some drinks posted here so I guess I will too.

If the alcohol porn thread still does exist, can someone let me know?

Some slushies from France: orange ones are Grand Marnier; white - GreyGoose Lemon......................

And a few happy DISmoms with the above-mentioned slushies:

Soft pretzels from Germany - best on the property, IMO:
