DH had the cheesesteak without the peppers but with extra mushrooms and onions and cheese...it was awesome...soft bread, lots of ooey goodness and the steak was very tender. The broccoli slaw was wonderful, crisp, crunchy and cold.

Food058.jpg

The reuben was awesome too, the corn beef was just salty enough and very tender, lots of cheese and dressing and kraut. The fries were incredible...if you have ever been to Boston and had Boston's Best Fries they are just like that...crispy, not greasy and just enough salt on em.

Here's some pics from Kouzzina. It was a very nice dinner with some interesting choices.

Sangria:

Bread and butter (the butter had black Hawaiian sea salt on it):

526.jpg

527.jpg

Saganaki (seared haloumi cheese) - this was a delicious appetizer, and the chefs yelled "opa!" every time they seared the cheese

528.jpg

Kouzzina sampler for two - hummus, olives, tzatziki, grilled pita, cashews, stuffed grape leaves, shrimp, and spicy lamb meatballs. Another great appetizer

530.jpg

I ordered the fisherman's stew, which had snapper, scallops, shrimp, mussels, clams, fennel, and bread. It was delicious.

534.jpg

Cinnamon stewed chicken with orzo and tomato. Our waitress said that this is Cat Cora's favorite dish, and that Cat's mother made it on Cat's birthday.

536.jpg

Gigantes beans - this was a nice, savory side dish.

537.jpg

For dessert, baklava with pistachio gelato:

543.jpg

And Greek style yogurt sorbet with berries and mint syrup - this dessert was no sugar added, and it was very nice - the yogurt had a nice tang.

Thanks for the great review of the Plaza Restaurant. I have always wanted to try there and just booked an evening dinner for next with my dh.

Do they have window seats in the restaurant? I have a 7:40 reservation and fireworks are at 9. Do you think you can see them from the restaurant?

Thanks for the info.
