I think it would be really cool if you could eat up in the tree house like where that bench is. Maybe have a snack place in one of the rooms or build a snack stand and attach it to the tree some how. How relaxing that would be. To be able to sit up there in the shade on a HOT day and just relax and look at the view. :cloud9:
the newest TS at MK - doesn't it look sooooooo good??? :lmao:

yep, that's the wheat bun! it was okay. normally in everyday life i prefer wheat bread over white. but at disney it's kinda nice to be bad! so i prefer the white at casey's. but the wheat tasted fine......nothing to get upset over.

the dogs are the same size and everything. here's our picture from last year with the white buns. (by the way, we were on the DDP last year and it was great, except it was WAY too much food for us. look at all that food just for lunch!!!)

The one thing I can't stand about the wheat is that it falls apart:confused3 . If I want white bread they should give it to me:yay: . After all this is the most magical place on earth:wizard: lets make some magic:wizard: . Its vacation enjoy:lmao:

I can not wait to get to disney....ah the food.....the candy...the cookies.:lovestruc :lovestruc :lovestruc

My husband is going to have to roll me home.:lmao:

My DD and I are leaving in 30 days - I've really enjoyed this site! Thanks to you all for getting us more excited than we already are!

The tea looks amazing. How are the prices there?

The prices are very, very reasonable. We make The Garden View Tea Room a part of our trip every year. You can spend anywhere from $10 - $30 per person depending on what you get.......they have a la carte and fixed price options that allow you to buy one scone or a complete tea service. It is worth your time to go!!!

I may do just that!

I'm going with my husband and two small children. I know I can't take my kidlets. They'd be all over that place! LOL! So, rather than have to worry about them, Momma might have to do this one alone. ;)

these here. I didn't photograph everything...or even most everything...but here are few pics of favorites from our most recent trip:

Hi, all! I am nearing the end of my trip report, and thought I'd pop by here to post some food photos. We were at the World from 5/29 - 6/4 of this year...we being myself and my sons Liam (12) and Teiguen (7).

No dining plan here...I looked at it from every which direction and there was just no way that it would have been a good deal for our family. I should add, too, that I didn't photograph everything we ate...just the more memorable items!

If you want more info about what we thought of the restaurants, my trip report is "The Walshes' Week at the World". For many of you, though, the photos will probably be plenty of info, so I won't repost the trip report here. I'll be back by the weekend with the rest of our food photos, but here is a bite or two of what we ate:

Musicbreakfastday5.jpg

Day 5: Breakfast at the All Star Music food court. This was the third time this trip that the boys chose Mickey Waffles for breakfast!

smallwaffles.jpg

Liam chose the the little waffles.

bigwaffle.jpg

Teiguen chose the big one. Same meal: kids get to choose which they want. Very cool! We ate at both the Movies and Music food courts and to be completely honest, what we got there was pretty much the same food you find in the parks! Don't skip the value food courts!

Pizzaplanet.jpg

We didn't have lunch this day, so grabbed a cheese pizza to tide us over for dinner. One was enough to share for a snack. Again, this wasn't as bad as I'd been led to expect! It was pretty much what you get on the kids' menu at any chain restaurant!

SciFi.jpg

I have a baad camera. This is the best I could do with our dinner at Sci Fi Cafe. We would do this again, but more for the atmosphere than the food. Liam brought in counter service chicken. Teiguen had the tomato soup and hot dog, both of which he said tasted great. Both boys had shakes. I found that the menu here had very little in common with the ones I'd found posted for it on the internet, and ended up eating a dry pastrami and rye sandwich. Not bad, but the quality was about what you'd get at the supermarket. The waiter forgot my cherry coke, and we were half way done eating before I could catch him to mention it.

WCC.jpg

Whispering Canyon Cafe: All the Fun A Kid Can Stand! We were in on all the fun. One family, I guess not knowing what to expect, refused to pass the catsup...my boys got it from them and passed it on, trying to sneak a bottle for our table. Did it work? Nope...busted, lol! Not only did our waiter entertain the kids, so did another waiter and a waitress, too. Again Liam brought in counter service chicken (told you he's fussy!). He ordered a shake, though, and was rewarded with the 2' long straw! Teiguen had the cheeseburger...he ate everything but the cookie! I ordered the trout, but they were out! They substituted salmon without really giving me a choice. I'd had salmon the night before at the food court, and sadly, the salmon at Movies' food court was tastier than what WCC offered (I should mention...it is usually a kiddie meal.). The best thing at this meal was the chips and queso dip....the chips were hot and fresh. They came with both queso and tomato/onions. YUM! The kids definitely want to do this one again next trip. What with the pony races and waitresses teasing them and waiters tossing straws at them, they had as much fun here as at any of the parks!

TuskerHouseBreakfast.jpg

YUM! This is Teiguen's breakfast from the Tusker House buffet. Again, another must-do. The food was wonderful...fresh, hot, and plentiful! We tried everything from the sausage and biscuits to the yogurt and didn't find a single thing we didn't like. The service was excellent, and despite the size of the restaurant and that fact that most of the room we were in was filled with high school kids, it was a fairly quiet and enjoyable atmosphere!

SnacksinFrance-1.jpg

Snacks from the bakery in France. I had the croissant, the boys had the cake-of-the-day! YUM. They also had pretzels in Germany, and declared them winners, too.

Why no table meal photo? We went to San Angel in, and it just wasn't worth the time to photograph it! The chip and dip starter? Tostitos. LAME! Come on, I thought the restaurants in WS were supposed to at least attempt to be authentic. The chips and dips were a downer from which the meal never recovered.

Liam ordered the chicken and pasta. The pasta sauce was thin and watery and ran all over everything on the plate. He was nearly in tears and wasn't going to eat, but I sent the plate back asking that they leave off the noodles. They gave him 2 chicken strips, which made his day. Teiguen had the pizza and ate about half of it.

I had the Ensalada Mexicana. Yeah, or a pile of greens. It was too dark to see it...and while the meat was hot and tasty, the greens all had the same texture and taste. If there was a house dressing on it, I couldn't taste it. And cactus strips? The only strips were a cheese of some sort...hm? The waitress was friendly and attentive, but the food was just lacking. We've decided that next time we will grab an early lunch at the Electric Umbrella, then just nosh our way around the World Showcase, not stopping for a table meal there at all.

BigCookie.jpg

Downtown Disney: Goofy's Candy: Liam has a big cookie with peanutbutter pieces on it. YUM.

PaddysPork.jpg

This is my dinner from Raglan Road: Paddy's Pork. This was far and away the best meal I had at Disney. The waitress was amazing. The bread and dip they brought as starters was delicious, and because my boys didn't like it, I had as much as I wanted for myself, lol! They both had the chicken goujons and LOVED them. For dessert they shared a sundae, also delicious. My dinner...well, I can only describe it as a slice of heaven...and I'm not even much of a pork fan! The potato/leak/cabbage mixture was amazing. I could have made a meal of it alone! The pork was tender and juicy...and the sausage bit in the middle gave it a tasty zip! All I can say is, I wish they would open a Raglan Road in Colorado!

Paddy's Pork: Raglan Road DTD: On the "We must do this again next time!" list.

Here are a few more pics...

The duck was delicious - a little too much sauce for my liking; an issue that was carried over to the dessert........

Apple crepe w/ berries, vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce

Granted, alot of the ice cream had melted by the time I took the pic, but this dish was just swimming in caramel sauce!

Also visited the French bakery to get some Chocolate Mousse.....

I had never had duck before - felt it was the "french" thing to order. I would definitely eat here again; would just ask them to go easy on the sauce!

I went back and looked at my pic and you did get a lot of sauce, here's mine:
