Oh no......we were thinking of trying Y&Y and the Mahi was what I was planning on. May have to go to Rainforest Cafe.

Oh, well I wouldn't go THAT far :rotfl:

I didn't mean to disuade you - Y&Y has great atmosphere and friendly servers. And the food isn't bad, it's just not as authentic as I'd (foolishly) hoped. :thumbsup2

those beignets at Port Orleans - can you get a sauce on the side? (like vanilla, chocolate or raspberry)

What? A sauce? :scared1: How dare you? I've never had them at Port Orleans but I grew up in New Orleans and had them hundreds of times. You eat them the way they are or you don't eat them at all. Get it! I'm just joking!:lmao: Eat them however you want, just don't EVER ask for any type of sauce with them if you travel to New Orleans.

Lurkyloo, Come to NJ for brunch anytime...;) Thanks for the other pics...I love dim sum...but I guess I won't try it at Yak and Yeti.

How was the Grapefruit Cake? I have always wanted to make that recipe at home but always had second thoughts. Maybe I should just try it the next time we are in the World. TIA!

okay - sorry!!! :goodvibes

i only asked because i had beignets for the first time recently at the grande luxe cafe restaurant, and they came with 3 sauces - never been to new orleans, so i really didn't know any better!

my bad...

Love your photos Lurkyloo! :cutie:

Mmmmm....all these food photos have me drooling!

we had the dim sum basket at Yak & Yeti last time.. it was pretty similar to the frozen stuff you get at an asian supermarket.

lurkyloo,
Your photos are beautiful! Do you mind if I ask what kind of camera you are using? (I'm assuming a DSLR?) I am sooo interested in getting one...

I am a bad DISer... I didn't eat it cuz I don't like grapefruit! But DH ate every last bite of his and some of mine, so it must be good! :thumbsup2

HI, MOONPIE! Nice to see you again! You graduated from the weddings & honeymoons board and now I don't get to see pix of your cute little doggie anymore...:sad1:

Do you mind if I ask what kind of camera you are using? (I'm assuming a DSLR?) I am sooo interested in getting one...

Well the under-lit, strobed out ones we took on our honeymoon with a now-ancient Canon Powershot S200. But if you are referring to the gorgeous shots by our wedding photographers, Nathan & Jensey Root, Photobucket sez they used a Canon EOS 30D & a Canon EOS 40D. :thumbsup2

Don't worry - when he finds out how much cheaper a Disney Wedding can be than the national $30,000 average, he'll prolly buy his own groom ears! :lmao:
