Disney Florist delivery to resorts?

I'm debating on whether or not to get DD the "Proclaim Her A Princess" gift for our arrival day at WDW. Since we drive to Disney and stay off-site the night before, we check into our Disney hotel (specifically, for this trip, the Pop Century) at 7:00 a.m., get our KsTTW, and roll out to a park for the day until our room is ready. I want to have the Disney Florist deliver the gift to the room before we get to our room the first day, but I was writing to ask if this would work as smoothly as I hope. Can anyone offer any insight?

Also, if anyone has ever purchased the "Proclaim Her A Princess" gift and could weigh in on whether it was cute or not, that input would also be appreciated. I don't want to spend the money on it if it's junk. Thank you so much!! :goodvibes

I would be careful. I ordered a balloon bouquet for my Mom when she was in Disney World for her birthday and it did not get to her until late at night. I actually had to call the front desk twice to have them deliver it to the room. Apparently the Disney Florist did not deliver it to the resort until after 8pm. When I originally ordered the bouquet from the florist, they stated that they could not guarantee a delivery time, but that it would get to the resort no later than 7pm. This was obviously not true since it didn't arrive until after 8pm. When it arrived, the people at the resort claimed they did not know it was supposed to be delivered that same day and I had to call twice for them to finally run it up to the room. How they didn't know to take it to the room after the florist delivered it, I'll never understand.

Two years ago, I had flowers delivered for my wife from the Disney Florist.
I requested they be delivered after a certain time, because I knew we would be in the parks.
I also made sure to mention it to the resort.
We checked in, and did not get the room number right away, but when we got to our room, the flowers were there.

The florist delivers from 8 am to 8 pm. The time that the item goes out to the resort depends on how early the order is received, thus where it resides in the queue. Once the order gets to the front desk of the resort, it is out of the florists' hands. It is up to the resort to make the delivery to the guest room. Sometimes, the resorts are busy or they don't have sufficient staffing and things do not get delivered on a timely basis.

OP, my suggestion would be to speak to the front desk staff. Tell them that you are expecting a delivery from the florist and that you would like it to be in your room when your return. Please give the florist and the resort a realistic amount of time. Remember, the florist receives hundreds of orders each day and they delivery to all of the resorts. There florist does not guarantee a specific delivery time other than some time prior to 8 pm. If you want a specific delivery time, you can arrange that through the florist by paying a premium delivery charge. That means they will make a special trip to delivery your item at your requested delivery time. A special trip means an extra fee.

Please remember, around holidays, such as Valentine's Day, things will be delayed due to the sheer volume of orders received by the florist and items received by the resorts.

I ordered something for my DD's for our upcoming trip. I spoke to someone from the Disney florist on the phone. She stated that they cannot deliver anything to a room until the room is occupied, meaning that since the rooms do not get assigned until check in, nothing can be delivered and waiting for you in your room when you arrive. I also wanted something that I could use to "welcome" my children. So, I had my item delivered the day prior to my arrival. The hotel will hold onto it and present it to us upon check in. If they forget, I can remind them. I will see if it works, we go at the end of March.

I'd like to thank you all for the input. It sounds as if I need to keep my expectations a bit lower and I may be pleasantly surprised - LOL. Anyway, thanks again for the suggestions. :goodvibes
