Has anyone does this? This is one of the few things left on our list of activities that we have not conquered yet at Disney. I was just wondering what everyone's experience with it was. I already have the basic info on it, but did you feel it was worth it? Was it fun? Would you do it again?

We did it once as a part of an all-inclusive package where our choice of activities was included. It was LOTS of fun...the guides know the "hot spots" where you are likely to catch a lot of fish (we fished over near Narcoosee's). It's catch and release, so be sure to bring a camera so you can memorialize the kids' trophies! If your guide makes a good choice, they will almost surely enjoy it because they are very likely to make several catches.

Sounds like DH and DS will love it. I'm kind of bummed because now instead of just sending them, I read that you have to rent the whole boat...lots of money for just two people to go, but I know they want to do it, so me and DD just may have to grin and bear it for a morning to feel like it was worth the $. Good thing it is catch and release...where oh where would we put those fish! :rotfl: I'm a photo addict so yes, we'd definitely have tons of memories for home. Thanks for sharing your experience, I'm glad that it was a good time for everyone-definitely helps me decide. ;)

We done the excursion and it was not good for us at all. We fished the DTD area. It was July and very hot so that may have something to do with it. It was fun riding in the boat and the kids had fun seeing DTD from the water, but we did not catch even 1 fish. Not even a bite. We would not spend that kind of money on it again. Just my opinion. I hope it works out better for you. I have read on here lots of people have a great time doing it.

DH has done this many times. He loves it (big fisherman!) There was only 1 time that he did not catch anything. Usually he catches a ton of fish. It is expensive, but he enjoys it, so worth the money to us.

I am a late person, so if he does the really early trip, I hang out in the room, sometimes go to a nice table service breakfast. Or I go shopping. You're paying the same whether you go or not, so maybe there is something special that you and dd can do together that you would enjoy while the boys are out fishing.
