Disney finally Made Me Mad

It probably works out well that the world showcase doesn't open until 11. Since nobody is going to schedule this as one of their first 3, they are going to need time to do Soarin, EO and Figment before scheduling Pooh.

But seriously....... can you imagine how lonely Minnie is going to be at DHS waiting for everyone to burn through their first 3?

Until 5 year old Sarah sees Minnie and runs over "Mom!! It's Minnie!!!!!!", but wait, Sarah's family has a FP to ride TSMM later that morning. Sorry Sarah, sorry Minnie. :sad2:

When we were just at HS. Minnie had no line pretty much Easter Sunday. I asked why. She didn't know days it's low a lot of the time. There were covered fast pass thingies there already but covered. She said it was getting fast pass eventually. Kinda dumb. There better be a standby line. She did mention that it will be fast pass only. I blew her off cause I thought that was crazy. Guess I'm wrong! Lol

All of this because of Winnie the Pooh? Really?

Just a thought- there was a mention of Minnie at DHS being a talking character M&G with the conversion to FP+ only. I remember also hearing (or seeing in the Christmas parade maybe?) That the Fab 5 would also be talking eventually? Maybe that is where they are going with all this? I agree it makes ZERO sense otherwise for this particular M&G.

I've thought that, too, about Minnie (and possibly about Donald and Daisy in AK) but it would be really bad to have Minnie talk and then you walk right out of there and are a few feet from Sorcerer Mickey who doesn't talk. :scratchin

And FWIW, personally I'm not panicking too badly about all of this (YET!) We have a 2 year old, and don't do all the tier one stuff because as APs we usually frequent the parks to do things with our daughter can do and we don't like to do baby swap or anything. It's not all about rollercoasters and such to us. I don't personally mind using my Fps on a character greet (we normally visit PFTH every weekend and it never gets old to us) and so if I have to use one of my initial 3 FPs on a M & G for Minnie or Pooh, I'm okay with that, and I'm sure it would be no issue snagging one as my 4th or 5th or whatever. The whole FP+ ONLY thing is a little odd, and makes me wonder what might be to come, but for now I really do just wonder if it's simply because of the limited space for two queues and because those particular attractions at those parks are hardly busy and so they are a good place to 'test' things and see how it goes.

No, it's not about Pooh. It's about the idiotic notion that one has to use a FP+ to see characters without the option for standby. Oh, and the fact that it's a T1 option.

Most find it NOT fabulous.:thumbsup2

Yes, ominous as in "Hey, this worked!!" "Why spend 500 mill on a new ride or two- more Characters, stat!"

Mr. Hattered, there still may be hope and a future for "Flamingo Man"......

I would totally burn a FP+ for "Flamingo Man"!!! Wait....no I wouldn't because that is STUPID!!;)

This has nothing to do with Pooh. It's about what this bodes for the future of this system in general. FP+ exclusive is definitely new territory. Or there wouldn't be a 20 page thread about Pooh.

Tsk tsk. There's that word again.

:thumbsup2

Love the visual. Well, not really. But you know what I mean.

This is the Dis. 20 pages have been dedicated to all sorts of topics. Page count infers nothing. And to me, it's simple. If you don't like Pooh being a FP+, then don't do it or don't go. Most threads are about people complaining. Unless complaining makes you happy, why do it all day everyday? If Disney is truly making you mad, then don't spend your money there.

A FP+ only attractions sets a precedent that is kind of scary to many of us. Today it's a character meet that many of us don't care if we miss. Tomorrow it might be a secondary attraction. Years down the line it might be a major one. It's not about a FP+ being added, it's about 3 attractions that are now FP+ only. Huge, huge, difference.

I don't know why it always comes down to don't like it don't go. Nobody is here because they don't like Disney. Anybody who cares enough to post frequently on a fan site most likely loves Disney. That doesn't mean turning a blind eye to everything they do. Nobody is forcing you to read here. If it's truly bothering you, don't open the threads.

Canceled my end of May trip unfortunately I still have 2 more to plan so I need to pay attention to everytime Disney makes a change to further devalue my other trips.

Tiering FP+ really highlighted the lack of ride capacity in Epcot. An M&G as a FP+ only AND a Tier 1:rotfl2:

We talk about it b/c this is a discussion board. People post stuff that makes them happy, why can't we post stuff that makes us mad? As Mom and Mad said many are concerned what this means for the future of other rides and trying to figure out the logic behind the move.

Just more faux outrage from people who seemingly love to criticize Disney at every turn these days.

Also, the Pooh M&G doesn't start until 1pm.

Why do you say that?

My experience using FP+ was less than stellar and if you can't handle the truth, then don't read these threads.

If you are happy getting less while paying more that is your business.

Minnie is pretty well hidden away. Last year, we were in line for Minnie but my sister-in-law thought we were doing the Animation Academy because the sign said "Drawing Room". :rotfl:

But I get your point.

Sounds like a much better fit than the Minnie M/G at DHS then. I can't see her staying busy there until later in the day with FP+ only, especially with people having to choose between that and TSMM.

Don't like it, don't go. Don't like it, don't open thread. What's the difference? I suggested one, you suggested the other. Your second paragraph is a contradiction. In one sentence you say that you "don't know why it always comes down to don't like it don't go". But then you suggest not opening a thread if I don't like it. Hilarious!
