It's a poor replacement for Vacation Magic which focused on DVC with a little other Disney information. Now it's mostly Disney information with a few bits of DVC information. It comes quarterly and the most recent issue came out about two or three weeks ago. Look for the Fall issue in maybe Nov or Dec.

As Deb said, it is quarterly. I did get my Fall one a couple of weeks ago.

It has lots of pretty pictures and a few moderately interesting articles. I glance at it then off to the recyclers it goes.

We joined DVC in May and received our first Disney Files about 3 weeks ago. It is labeled the Fall 2009 Issue.

There's a four page write up on BLT--mainly photos, an article on the Long Island Doorway to Dreams and status of construction on the Hawaii project. Also there was a couple of pages called "Perk Alerts" which dedicates a few paragraphs on Halloween Perks, golf discounts and savings at the Richard Petty Driving Experience. There was a page called Small Talk, that covered miscellaneous items from Camp Kidani, reservations at VGC, TOTW, pool hooping and notice of the 2009 Condo Assoc. meeting on December 9th. The last item specific to the DVC was about Member Getaways--10 Fun Things about South Africa. Whoops there is a Photo Files section where member photos are displayed in the back of the magazine.

The remaining 16 (out of 30) pages covers Disney history, enhancements at the parks, an interview with a CM and upcoming diversions which includes new movies.

I didn't mention the article by Jim Lewis, President of the DVC as that article has been hashed and rehashed thoroughly on more than one thread.

Despite what other's think, we enjoyed our first look at Disney Files and plan to keep everyone we get. from our house!
