I just read the article on the new attraction at Disney Hollywood studios, Legend of Jack Sparrow. What did I miss? Is this already open or upcoming? If open, has anyone gone through it ? I wasn't planning on visiting DHS next week, but this I want to see...

nothing to write home about.
Funny. That's exactly how I was going to reply.

Very neat technology... very uninspired story.

Ranks right up there with Stich's Great Escape and Captain EO on my to-do list for our next trip.

Obviously not much to write in Disney Files about as well. :)

full page article. it's what made me think it's more than it apparently is :confused3

not going to DHS just to see this, especially during Easter week:rolleyes2

It's only as good if the guests get into participating. If people go in with a blasé attitude it comes out boring. If your group like to be a pirate for a few minutes then it's fun.

I agree that it would not be an attraction to go out of your way for. But if you're at TSMM and want do something else nearby in the AC that's an option.

Saw it for the first time this morning. Was just okay, but then we walked right in. Definitely would never wait in line for this attraction.

You're lucky. We waiting in that line for three shows until we finally got in.

We quite liked it. The technology was so cool that it made up for the weirdness of the storyline. Made us feel like we were in the room with Jack Sparrow. We stood way in back, which gave us a nice view of everything.

It's not a good attraction if your feet are sore; you stand the whole time. So do it when your feet are fresh. :)

We saw it back in January. Most disappointing attraction I've experienced. Everyone stands the whole time. I'm short. I saw very little. DS7 was scared. Pfft.

First Jack Sparrow ruins Pirates of the Caribbean (IMO), then he gets his own attraction. Interesting.

:sad2:sorry you feel that way. For me, he makes it! I LOVE Jack, and all the POC movies, gives it a new energy and life. But I do understand that to many Sparrow takes away from the traditionalism of the attraction.
