In order to get pricing, I will need to wait until a few months before the cruise as I need an idea of how many we need. This is a small order (under 1,000) and they want exact, or close to, numbers. No worries, last time they were like $1.00-$1.50, so not bad at all.

However, I agree with my mom that I'm sure some of the guys on our trip might not want to wear them if they are pink. I'm fine with keeping with the glow in the dark, neon green. The color really made them easy to spot.

Thansk for the info Amanda :). I agree about the pink (darn men ). I really liked DIS green ones from last time. VERY easy to spot and I especially LOVE telling the kids to seek out a green bracelet if they needed help .

Awesome! You ladies are the best!!!! :thumbsup2

I just emailed DU about switching dining times. I will use FB to get our res number to JorDan once we have it confirmed.

As for Kai, I will add him but have to wait until the end of the month. We are on a budget right now and can't imagine his face when I tell him I want to spend another $200 on a trip he isn't going on!

Brunch, tea, dinner -- whatever you girls are up for!

As for band color -- loved the lime green but am open to anything.

Ha ha . . . I keep thinking about upgrading to a balcony room and not telling Tony!!!!:rotfl2:

Since you already have the room does it really matter (within reason) :cool2: when you add Kai?

Brunch or tea is great with me too but still want to to dinner as well... :worship: sounds like we will be spending a lot of time in Palo this trip!

You all keep forgetting about the OTHER new resturaunt Remy. Maybe we should try that??
I'm up for anything. We've never tried Palo, but I know it's on our list this time. YES for brunch or tea- it always looks so amazing. Maybe we should jsut book out the place for all of us. hahaha

Any color is good for us. The Virgin islands are very GREEN, haha

You are right! Well, in that case we should certainly make an appearance in both!

I'm not going to say that I would NEVER try Remy - but did you see the price for it?
:scared1::scared1:$75 per person:scared1::scared1:
I'm going to have a hard time convincing myself to fork over an extra $150 for dinner on a cruise ship. It will be interesting to hear the feedback from those who try Remy on the Dream.

I would LOVE to try Remy, but with 4 adults in our group, a $300+ dinner  is more than this tightwad Accountant can justify :rotfl:.

YIKES!!!!! $75 a person?!? Wow umm yeah I have to pay for babysitting if we went there, so I'd be over $150. Nevermind.
I'm not paying that much for French food... :P

I will not be going to Remy. After I saw the menu, I wouldn't even book it if it was the same price as Palo. Except maybe for the selection of after dinner caramels :lovestruc Other than that, nothing looked appealing.

Unless they have changed the rules, we can only book Palo once for dinner right? We usually get the private room for a "adult family palo dinner" with our crew so brunch or tea would work best with our DIS family. I know mom would really love to try tea. We've done brunch and it was OK. Dinner, in my opinion, is far better for the same price.

Wow you all have been busy! I didn't expect to check back in and have all the pages to read through already!

Let's see - I LOOOOOOOVED the braclets the last cruise so I say that's definate must!!! I think pink is a great color but don't think I could convince Jason to wear a pink wristband the entire cruise. :thumbsup2

I also love the idea of having a ladies tea or brunch at Palo. I loved the brunch last time around, but since alot of our men might get too jealous over missing out I'd definately like to try the tea. I'm game for anything! :cutie:

I hope the nursery won't be too hard to book so we can have some adult time. I'm also pretty excited since I read that they have times available where kids under 3 can be accompanied by an adult to play in the kids clubs! The kids clubs look soo amazing from the drawings.

My official baby updated for today: 26 days until the due date!!!!! :lovestruc

I can pretty much tell you that we would LOVE Remi, so will definitely be going. We really like tasting menus and French dining, so we are really excited about it being on the ship. It IS pricey, but seeing as to how our last French meal was $540 for the two of us..it's really a bargain!

As for babysitting, we'll be pretty fortunate (assuming we have a baby at the time of the cruise). We are bringing our babysitters with us! (With the expectation that they will keep the little one here and there...) They might be willing to keep more than one, but that would be up to everyone's comfort. Obviously, we trust them immensely with our future child!

Sonya, if you book a balcony on the back of the ship on deck 6, you could be our balcony neighbor! Then, we'd have a triple-length balcony which would be really cool!

Hope everyone is having a good week so far. Mine has been rather brutal (up most of last night and an appendectomy on my afternoon "off")!

Lynsey -
we just passed the 90 day mark for our Jan 2011 cruise and when I looked into booking the nursery for a few hours while we all went to Palo, they were wide open! No problems at all booking. :thumbsup2

Where is everyone seeing the menu for Remy? :confused3 I am so behind! I don't know that I would spend $75 there either but would still like to see!

Now, is it possible for me to make my one brunch/tea/dinner reservation for Palo and add you guys even though you are booked on another reservation?

Carole - I am pretty sure I can add Kai at any time so guessing it won't be a problem. I'll add him next month.

Joni is feeling a bit left out now that I am going to add him but he still has no interest in going so it will be a Mom & Kids trip! Of course he probably doesn't realize I will have to add on 1-2 days to visit WDW or Universal before or after. Maybe I won't mention that just yet!

I tried to find the menu for you, but looks like Disney pulled it. :confused3 It was posted to their Facebook page. I know I saw it recently, so they must have just removed it. I remember hearing that the head chef from Victoria & Albert's along with a DCL chef created the menu. There are supposed to be options to dine with the chef (at an added cost, for sure) & to dine in their extensive wine room. I also remember hearing that Remy will top out at this most expensive upgraded dining option to date for all the major cruise lines. Those that commented on the main boards that have been to V & A's have stated the average cost for 2 people tends to be $350, so they thought $75 per person was reasonable. However, when you add in the fact that when you pay for your cruise, you have already paid for your meal and the $75 is on top of that, who know how much you actually end up paying.

Here is a quote I found regarding the menu "On the heels of its announcement that the Disney Dream cruise ship will feature a gourmet restaurant called Remy, Disney Cruise Line released a preliminary menu for the eatery. A multi-course meal, which features dishes like smoked bison and Japanese waygu."

Regarding booking Palo, you can book for anyone who is linked to your ressie. I'm thinking that there may be a lot of interest, so we may need to request the private dining room and make the ressie while on the ship. party:

Hi everyone! I doubt I will go to Remy if its $75 :scared1:, but count me in for Palo!!

Well as predicted with my first post on here last week, I found out yesterday I am going to be made redundant in March. I'm very upset obviously, but have 5 months so I'm not too panicked yet! Obviously am still planning to cruise, barring any long-term employment issues! (For those who are my friend on facebook, please don't mention this, its meant to be confidential until Friday) :goodvibes:Just wanted to let you know in case I'm not on here much, as I'm feeling a bit quiet at the minute!

5 months is a lot of time. I feel certain this will only lead to bigger and better things! Who knows, maybe now is a good time to look for alternate options on our side of the pond! I hear food critics get all kinds of perks. Just think happy thoughts, like free KK forever! ;) Will be thinking of you and Tony both during your "quiet" time. Please let me know if we can help.
