Hi !!
My DH & I will be on this cruise - a btb wthe 6/23 Western cruise. We have a Huge group on that cruise and our FE is still open - while we won't participate here - I just don't understand why it's closed. " Whatever" as my granddaughter would say.
Since I'm one of the people who voted for the cap at 20, I'll give my two cents. It's cost, it's time (both in prep and on the ship delivering). My spring and early summer are packed packed packed, and my time to work on them is tightly scheduled.
It's not meant to be exclusionary, it was simply a decision made by those of us who where involved at that time. It seems to be getting some negative feedback, and that's hurtful to those of us who helped make that decision.
If the second FE group wants to open it up to everyone and have a super huge group - that's ok - it's everyone's choice to participate, or not, as they see fit. But please, let's not sit in judgement of others' choices, especially since several weren't there at the time of the decision.
I am trying to get my DD to make a new FE for us. She wants to go into fashion design for college so I don't see why she can't make us a cool FE. She doesn't seem as into it as I do. She is not sure yet where she is going for college as we are still waiting on 2 schools to let us know. She wants to go to University of Delaware but has been excepted at Purdue (which is where my DH and I went). So if she doesn't get into Delaware it will probably be Purdue.
Susan - I'm forgetting - have I already talked to you about Purdue? I can't remember. Anyway - my husband and I both went to Purdue, too. He went to Krannert, I was in civil engineering. Always fun to share some Boiler love!
I have a good friend that graduated with a fashion degree that is now working in NYC! I'm not familiar with Delaware's program, so I'm going to vote for Purdue! Ha! I hope she's able to decide soon - I can only imagine it's a little stressful for a parent to have it still up in the air

We survived hockey and gymnastics seasons for another year. Hurray! I'm enjoying a (*teeny*tiny*) bit of (less chaotic) "free" time - and then we leave for spring break on the 23rd. We'll come back to lacrosse and soccer, and the end of year push! Our 90 days hits on our drive back from Fort Myers, so I'll be checking in with our mi-fi! Pray for no dead spots en-route!!
So exciting to see all the additional cruisers - looking forward to getting to know the new folks, and getting the kiddos set up with a little chatter. Seems like there will be enough young ones and older ones, too, that everyone should be able to have a buddy or two on board! Fun for everyone!!!
