Disney Fantasy Eastern Caribbean December 14 2013

Hi guys,
Anybody know when the dates for MVMCP are announced? When you can purchase tickets?

Is anybody considering this for the night before the cruise? Would that be crazy to fly in and do MVMCP at night? Has anybody done it before? Is it worth the $$$$?
Sorry for all the questions......
Just thought it would be fun to have some park fun before the cruise but the working folk who are coming with me can't take too much time off prior to -- especially with Christmas right after our cruise.

So happy that I can now say we are going "THIS YEAR"!!!!! :cheer2:

dates are announced around May or June and you can pruchase then. We have done it and well worth it. We have flown in the morning before, done the event and got on the boat a day later. Robin and I will be doing the event. :santa:

Thank you Michelle!
I will sure do the survey tomorrow, I'm so excited about this vacation !!

On the quesionaire you answered recently...I didn't see Brian , Amie and Kelly listed...are they coming and if so participating in anything that I would need their info. Also you just answered the FE as yes nothing else,....I am assuming that is all the same ...yes to Pink ladies of course since you are in charge and yes to ornament exchange???

:( I'm sorry! I hope you can figure it out. It will be my fiance's first time going to WDW before this cruise and I have a feeling if he doesn't fall in love with it during our limited time there that I will have a LOT of trouble getting there anytime soon thereafter! He's already groaning about spending $$ on Disney in 2015 (I promised him our first year married we could pay down debt (student loans, car, etc) and not go on vacations lol!)

For him it is definitely a money-worry thing! Maybe your husband has the same reservations about it!

Hey Kristi, welcome back. Can you do me a favor and go to our web page and click on the join us form and answer ALL the questions. Thank you soo much!!:santa:

Thanks, Michelle! That's great to know that it's doable.
I think our gang will try to do it too! (At least the six of us -- and my mom & sis too if they don't need a nap! :)) Are you guys hoping to do it that Friday night too?

Well it kinda depends...Robin and I are thinking of flying down Weds. I am sure it will end up being Friday but honestly if it's offered Weds night or thurs I would prefer those nights and another park Friday or doing MK another day as well.

Gotcha. I would think Wed/Thurs wouldn't be as crowded either. I wish we could go down Thursday, but I'm at the mercy of the working folk (my husband, mom and sister!) and with the way the calendar falls and Christmas...they are all stressing about being away from their respective offices that long. My students are done early in Dec, so there will be NO WORK to even think of!!! :smooth:

Hi everyone, It has been awhile since I posted. I hope everyone had a great holiday!!!!
As of right now I am still on this cruise. Financial matters may restrict me, but I am trying to go still. God willing everything will work itself out.
I am still a big time lurker, so I am always reading what is going on here, even if I dont post....sorry Michelle:).

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a safe, fun-filled New Year's. I work at the hospital and was off for Christmas, fortunately. However, I did have to work on New Year's Eve when all the chaos strikes!:crazy2:

I sure hope I filled out the right form for the FE group and ornament exchange. Is the ornament exchange for all members of our family or just for ladies? We are excited about the FE group. We participated in our first on the Dream and it was so much fun! Are there rules for this group as far as how many items per stateroom or per family member, items that are/are not ok, etc? For our last share, we made personalized beach bags with the family's last name initial and a Mickey head above it--they were really cute. Maybe I can find a way to post a picture. We also left the kids goodies also.

For anyone wanting information on MVMCP, I can try to help. We went on December 9 of this year and it was AMAZING. It exceeded my expectations, honestly. I will add, though, that this was our very first visit to Disney ever. Most of the ride lines were NOTHING. Seriously, we would get off a ride and then get right back on. There were 2 rides that had 10 minute waits at one point-- Space Mountain and Tomorrowland Speedway. Splash Mountain had 0 minute waits!! So, if you want to ride with minimal wait, I would highly suggest MVMCP. The parade was so super, but I thought it would be longer. There is free hot chocolate, cookies (snikerdoodle and chocolate chip), apple slices and apple juice. The kids thought that was great! And, the snow on Main Street was a nice touch, too. I haven't really considered going again this year before the cruise, but just might do that! Have the dates been released yet?

I'm sorry! We just jumped ship. . . :beach:

The Kids sail free on the 8 day cruise out of galveston for Spring Break just opened up today and we moved our cruise to that one. We've never been to the FL Keys and we get to go to WDW for a day! I just couldn't resist making the change because our school district took 5 vacation days away from us and it would mean the kids would miss 6 days of school on this cruise. The spring break cruise they will miss no school.

I'll miss not cruising with you guys!

When you were down there this past December, was it cold? I am hoping that the weather will atleast be nice enough for capri's.

Thanks! For the most part, the weather was gorgeous. A few days it was overly hot--like 85. Humid, sticky and just hot! Then, 2 days it was rainy and chilly. You could definitely get away with capris most of the time, though! However, I hear the weather in FL is constantly changing and there really is no way to plan. We started watching the weather a few weeks out and it changed daily, sometimes hourly!

I know and had a hard time making this decision because of you guys, but not missing so much school and a different itinerary won out.

Please send me some pictures! I'd love to see everything you make!

Hi guys,
For those of you who have done it, do you have any suggestions to how to make some matching Tshirts? I don't care if they are specific to this cruise, it would just be fun to have Christmasy/Cruiselike Mickey Tshirts for us all to wear. I saw some on ebay, but for $25 each -- that's $200 for 8 of us so I thought I might be able to muster some creative juices and do better. I have someone local who could embroider names for cheap.....

Any ideas or thoughts? Thanks!

A lot of people ask our creative DISigners to design a graphic and then they print it and iron it on shirts.
