It's been a while since I've posted -
Getting REAL excited now for the trip not so far away! I had planned to go scuba diving in Cozumel for our stop there but while at my first day of getting certified to dive here in NJ at a local scuba shop, I suffered from a bad case of vertigo after being in the water for a few hours.

Ooooh, sorry to hear that. I had wanted to get certified for this trip, but my wife has absolutely no interest in it, and I figure a family vacation should have mainly family activities... will have to wait about 12 more years for my daughter to be old enough to do it

WE have just added this cruise to our WDW holiday, a last minute impulsive thing as we have been dying to try the Fantasy having been lucky enough to be on many cruises on the other disney boats. The VGT price was just too good to be true so we have gone and booked !!

"We" are Me (Bren) OH ( Paul) & DD (Georgia 7), we live in newcastle uk, via ireland


I have an awful lot of catching up to do and will try and read all the thread tonight.

If its not too late I would love to join the FE , as it has been one of our dd's favourite things on previous cruises.

Thanks Chris! It's funny - I tried it for the first time with a resort course when we went on our honeymoon to Turks and Caicos and it was my husband who was all gung ho about it. I fell in love with it and am now dragging him into it - though he does enjoy it too.

You can book spa appointments online on the disney cruise site once you log into your reservation (just like I assume you made the Palo and Remy ressies). Just look for the tab for spa/activities.

Oh they might make friends in the oceaneers club!!, my dd is quite good at finding other "only child" kids,,, shes had plenty practise !!

2 months from today we are cruising!

I have 2 weeks of GS camp starting next Monday (I am an Archery instructor). I will not be able to start on the FE till then. Am I cutting it too close? I have a great idea on what I am going to do but I think if it is a family effort it will be easy.

Nah, you should be fine. But if you are worried, think of it this way, at GS camp you will have plenty of slave labor... errr... volunteers to help you

Starting to get super excited! Been reading all I can on DIS and cruise critic for hints and tips and shortcuts!

I find that every time I'm in the store I find that I'm thinking - "This would be good to wear to dinner on this type of night on the cruise," or I was in Old Navy and I saw some Tervis type of cups and thought, "These would be good for the refillable drinks for the kids...." The list is constantly revising in my head. I think I need to calm down

I was entering the passport info into the online check in and noticed DH's passport expires this month - so.... quick quick I made him go get a photo down at Walgreens and I sent it off today for renewal. I didn't bother with expedite because it says they're running about 4-6 weeks out for return time (did this last year at this time for the kids and I got them back 2 1/2 weeks later) which puts me at about July 30. No problem (hopefully!).

I too hope we can meet up some time when we all get on board!

Chris we are VGT so i have no idea when we will eventually find out
Hopefully it won be last minute, but I could just put a sticky on everyones door in the FE so they know. I can remember a previous cruise where someone was lucky enough to get an upgrade and they did this, it seemed to work out ok.

As for FE stuff. I am not crafty at ALL, so I tend to buy bits and peices. i do however love to see all the clever things people make. So hope no one minds

Bren, don't worry about not being crafty. The kids will love anything. (well mine do at least )

My daughter is driving me nuts with ours, she is only 4 and thinks we are going tomorrow and yeld at me last night that they are not put together!!!!
