What is the difference between Disney Fantasy 4A, 4B, 4C and 4D?

We are looking into 4D but got a little nervous when a review of the category called the cabin small. I have been in a regular balcony cabin on the Fantasy and was expecting 4D to be a little larger, certainly not smaller. Is there an obstruction on the balcony?

The letter designation is usually referencing the location/deck. Not the size.

4D are usually located on deck 6, which is the deck right above the lifeboats. There aren't obstructions, but the boats are directly below, and some people don't like that.

The letters designate which deck they are on. A is higher decks than D. All category 4 cabins are the same size, and are the largest cabins until you go to suites.

Aren't the life boats tucked underneath the deck below so we will see just part of the life boat? Or are we going to have the entire view of the top of the life boat?

As for the size of the room, it depends on your point of view. Compared to a normal hotel room, all the rooms (except the suites) on a cruise ship are small. But they really are big enough. For one thing, they are well laid out, with LOTS of storage space. There is a ton of room under the beds for suitcases, for instance and lots of drawer space too. The two half baths give you two sinks, and access to a sink even when someone is showering. This is helpful.

You can basically see the entire top of the lifeboat. It's not that big of a deal. My kids liked seeing the "yellow boats." They thought they were submarines. ;)

You just can't look directly down and see water, like you can on the higher decks. But, you are also closer to the water, which is cool.
