Disney Fall Internship Program

My sister just recieved her acceptance for the Fall 2005 WDW Internship Program! She learned that she will be working customer service in one of the resorts. All of you past cast members out there, what is the most important advice you have about this program that I can pass along to her? Thanks everyone!

The most important thing to keep in mind, that seems to make or break a person's experience. . . remember that you are there to work and learn, not just an extended vacation from school. The people that hate the program the most are the ones that essentially complain about work cutting into their partying. The people that make the most of their jobs, are friends with people at work (and not just friends with whatever party circuit in the apartments), and take the opportunity seriously are the ones who truly get the most out of it and remember it fondly.

Also, learn from experience. .. preferably other peoples' experience. Pay attention to what the people around you are getting terminated for and DON'T do it. Listen to the full-time cast members in your area, they've seen hundreds of CPs come and go and they know what has given those students the biggest problems.

And another big tip? Tell her to save up as much money as she can before she goes. There are tons of things to see and do while on the program, and the discounts are hard to pass up - unless you're living on your Disney paychecks. So be sure to have enough extra cash that you can splurge and take advantage of the discounts and things that are offered to you. Oh. .. and be sure to check out Property Control often
