Ok.. so at this point it is only potential debauchery - but trust me. This trip is going to rock.

So for the details.

The participants so far include just me (Brian) and my date (Adriane).
I am 33 (will be 34 during the trip) and Adriane is 33.

It will be my first ever F&W trip and her first adult trip to WDW. She visited WDW once in highschool with a dance troupe or something to that effect (she is an aerobics instructor and I am a lucky man).

We are staying at the Boardwalk in a 1BR suite and plan to do everything in our power to make the most of what is left of the nightlife at WDW...
I scheduled our ADR's the full 180 days out before I even asked her if she would be interested in going! I am pretty sure I picked places she will like though.

We will be causing all this trouble from Oct 15-21 and the official countdown has begun!

I can't wait!

Alrighty then!

I have put together a rough draft of a schedule for the trip that is almost entirely based upon the ADR's that I booked a couple months ago. I have yet to sit back and review plans/options/whatnot with my travel buddy - so much of this is subject to change. Nevertheless, here is my rough idea of how it will all go down.

Day 1 we fly non-stop from KC to Orlando and head for DME. After that we immediately have to hit the Magic Kingdom! I feel like this is vital in order to set the tone for any Disney trip. We should be arriving fairly early in the day so we may not be able to check into our room prior to heading out. We will likely stash our non-essential carry on items at the Boardwalk so that we are not lugging everything around with us. Adriane loves pirates, so she might just end up getting a pirate princess makeover. We will hit all the classic rides and I will do my best to keep from boring her to death with endless Walt Disney World history/facts. After what I am sure will be an awesome day at the MK, we will return to the Boardwalk to check out our room and clean up a bit. Then down to explore the Boardwalk resort area and have a few drinks at the Big River Grill and Brewing Works. Adriane loves beer so I am hoping they will have something special that she will enjoy. I hope that we can chill on the patio and see a little of Illuminations while we enjoy our beverages. If we are not completely exhausted after dinner we will hit up Jelly rolls and party the night away.

Day 2 will start out Disney's Hollywood Studios. I will have to show Adriane One Man's Dream and take her on Rockin' Roller Coaster and the Tower of Terror! We will also check out the new Star Tours and get a drink at the 50's Prime Time Lounge. When that is all said and done we will head back to our room to relax and weather permitting, even hit the pool. Adriane's favorite food is Mexican, so for dinner we will stroll through the World Showcase and head to the San Angel Inn. After dinner and drinks we will either watch Illuminations or do a little shopping. Then a nice walk or boat ride back to the room.

Day 3 we will bus on over to the Animal Kingdom. I really enjoy wandering around and watching the animals. We will make sure to hit Everest, Dinosaur, Festival of the Lion King, and Kilimanjaro Safaris. If Adriane is not afraid of a little (ok a ton) of water, we will also do Kali River Rapids. After we leave AK, we have ADR's at the Yachtsman's Steakhouse. We may cancel this dinner in favor of wandering around the F&W and sampling all the awesome grub there. On Day 5 we have ADR's at the California Grill. If we decide to eat at the Yachtsman's Steakhouse, we will probably cancel the Cali grill and do F&W on that night. I plan to combine drinking around the world with our F&W snacking so it should be quite the adventure! This is the night that we might end up heading to downtown Disney for a little fun and shopping. Adriane loves to dance, it is terrible that there are no more clubs at downtown Disney. I could rant about that forever but will save it for another thread.

Day 4 we will start at Epcot and hit all the future world stuff we have neglected to this point. I know Adriane will love The Living Seas with Nemo and Friends, as well as Soarin'. I hope to catch the Jammitor's entire show as I always seem to catch just the very end. I will also sit through another viewing of Captain EO as Adriane is a HUGE fan of everything 80's related. With all of Epcot's Future world taken care of, we will monorail over to the MK area and either hit up the MK park or explore some of the area resorts. Dinner for day 4 is at Ohana, so we will stay in the MK area until we are fully stuffed and need to be wheeled back to the boardwalk!

Day 5 will be a day to hit anything we have missed, go to a water park, or do anything of the bazillion other things that WDW has to offer. Once we both sit down and review our options, I know the day will fill up fast. For dinner on day 5, I have us at the California Grill just before Wishes is scheduled. I am hoping to make this night a fairly romantic occasion and have a few surprises up my sleeves!

Day 6 (last day) will be much like day 5 in that we will do whatever comes to mind. The only thing I have planned is dinner at another Mexican place for Adriane. We have ADR's at La Hacienda during Illuminations. It should be a great way to end an awesome vacation. We fly out the next afternoon.

I will update as our plans become more concrete. I know a ton of other DIS'rs will be there during this trip so we may try to meet up for drinks and whatnot!

Sounds like a fun trip! We are also going to eat at San Angel Inn. I love that place. We thought about staying at the Boardwalk, but went with the Poly instead. I'd be interested in hearing about what the Boardwalk was like in your TR.

:goodvibes sounds like a winner to me !!! will be tagging along with your TR!!! pixiedust for you and Adriane:cloud9:

Sounds fun !

I will be down there from Oct 19 through Oct 23. My 40th is the 19th, and we figured it's been almost 4 years since we did Food & Wine, so we're going back.

We're doing a trip with the kids next week, so in October we're going nowhere but Epcot and doing nothing but eating and drinking our way around the world. 4 straight days at Epcot with no rides on the agenda .... now THAT is debauchery :)

THAT DOES SOUND AWESOME!!!

I am a WDW vet so I can totally dig that agenda... However, with my WDW rookie date, I will be very inclined to show her the best of the best during our visit. I will make sure to keep a potentially "romantic" pace.. lol

We have a 1BR suite at the boardwalk for just the two of us, so we will have room to host for other like minded peeps that want to share a drink or two at the boardwalk! I just can't wait for all the fun and trouble we will cause!

OK - awesome update....

I had Adriane over for dinner. Cooked some awesome food and shared some great drinks and I put a Disney trip planning DVD on the TV. She got so super excited about all we will be able to do on this trip! It made me so happy to see that she is as excited as I am!

We also went over the ADR's that I have made and it looks like I will cancel the Steakhouse dinner at the Yacht club and hold onto the California Grill (she has NO idea about the fireworks!!!)

I might buy a flip cam or something of that nature for this trip. I had a borrowed one for my last trip and found it to be perfect for documenting WDW trip antics... Awesome Boardwalk romance here we come!

party: wishing you again a wonderful bday!!!!!! hello  to Adriane!!! Save as a pc of that :cake: !!!!!!!

This trip is getting closer and closer! The WDW website now has all sorts of cool details about F&W festivities!

They will Mixology Seminars where you learn how to make trendy and classic cocktails and drink them! PERFECT for this trip! We will NOT miss this!

There are a ton of other things listed that I have to check out. This trip will be 100% out of control.

So today I found some WDW photos from a ways back.

In those photos there was a pic of me chillin' at the DVC display at what was then MGM Studios. I was already interested in DVC but still had college to pay for before I could buy in. It only took me another 7 years to get it together!

Oh Great Baluga!! you're a baby, look how old that picture is !!!!!! But yes DVC is really a bad vice waiting to happen :) Been a member for a few yrs now and I thought it will curve my need to go... well I have been going more often!!!

I am jumping out of my skin just plotting and scheming for this trip.

:bored: there's nothing else I can tweak for the October trip... or November... December is sorta kinda finished!!! :faint: I need to find a cure!!!

Watching Tangled and totally getting in the Disney mood! Just over 2 months to go!

Mixology - 6pm October 20th. We are all signed up!
Adriane used to be a bartender and I think she will get a kick out of this event. Even if it is not that exciting or new to her, at least we get to sample the beverages!

Ohhh I have to check this out!!!! I just finished my 9 month of Mixology here in Pa last year!

The 20th will turn out to be a CRAZY day as we will do the mixology seminar - then have dinner at La Hacienda - then meet up at Jellyrolls! :drinking1:

Every day is just a little bit closer to "Welcome Home!".

The last (and only) time I stayed at the Boardwalk was in December of 2009 after I completed my Master's degree. It was a graduation present to myself! It was also that trip that helped convince me to buy into DVC as the total cost of that trip would have paid for a large chunk of DVC ownership!

The Boardwalk is tied as my favorite DVC property at WDW with BLT. I like them for different reasons, but after this trip we will see if they are still tied! So far I have stayed at the Beach Club and Boardwalk (as non-DVC members) as well as Saratoga Springs and BLT (as DVC members). Wow - I just realized that this will only be my 3rd trip with DVC - crazy!

In any event, I am super excited to return to Disney and bring a new friend to share the magic with. Adriane and I have been taking our new relationship fairly slow so far but it has been out of this world fun. I can't wait to share photos of the trouble we cause in a full trip report!
