Right now with our trip 30 days away I finally remembered that Easter is coming up and I need to put together baskets. Instead of candy I am looking more for things (for dd6) to take on our trip to Disney. I got her several disney pins and a princess lanyard for pin trading but any other ideas would be great! We are also driving (9 hours) so anything that would be distracting would be awesome as well.

How about some coloring book and new crayons? The Disney Store has some really neat tiny coloring tablets that have about 6 crayons attached to the back of it. I bought these for our kids to use while we stood in ride lines last year and they loved them.

Also, http://goodypak.com/catalog/index.php usually has some cute little things that you can order.

sunglasses
flip flops or sandals
swim suit
swim coverup
beach towel
Color Wonder markers and paper (they have several princess ones)
glow sticks
deck of princess or other Disney cards (to play in room in the evenings)
Disney pen for autographs (they usually have these at the dollar store)
sand bucket and shovel if you are staying somewhere with sand
DVD for the drive (Enchanted comes out on DVD March 18 - just in time!)

Here are some more ideas:

* fill eggs w/2quarters and 1 penny so she has $$ for the penny press machines...super fun to hunt these down in the resorts, parks, stores, etc

* crocs...and you can even fill some eggs w/jibbitz

* CD of disney music...or an MP3 player loaded w/music

* sticker book /magnetic playsets (ie: princess dress up, etc)

* disposable/waterproof camera

* change purse/pocketbook to hold the pressed pennys and other essentials (they also sell books at the parks that will hold the pressed pennies)

* princess polly pocket dolls or some pvc resin figures of her favorite characters -- from the Disney Store

* dollar stores usually have Disney themed workbooks

* plush toy

Have fun!

The Disney Store has some really cute Easter plush right now...large ones & small....Stitch, Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger, that white Kitty (what's her name?).

I was just stocking up at the Dollar Tree for my son's Easter Basket. They have Winnie the Pooh shaped chalk and princess jump ropes as well as lots of little coloring books and workbooks that are Disney Themed. Also, they had some practical things such as water bottles with Disney characters. The other thing that they had that I stocked up on was Disney tatoos. They had hidden Mickey and Pirates of the Carribean ones. You may want to look there. I was surprised by all that I found.:cool1:
