I know, August 26th far, far away, but I wanted to get a progress thread started for our Disney Duos swap before I leave for vacation (yeah :cool1: ). I have everyone listed below, along with the groups you are in (please PM me if I have messed up totally!) The roadmap to the name list is…

I have received your address
I have received your package
I have mailed everything out to you :cool1:

And since I am afraid the sign-up thread will get lost in the shuffle somewhere (in an alternate posting universe), I also thought I would include the details on this first post so it will be easy to find if you need it.

1. Choose a Disney duo…or two…or three.
2. Select an element (see below). You will make 5 of each element.
3. PM me as soon as possible with your DIS name, name and address so I can pre-address the return envelopes.
4. Post your progress status on the Progress thread, which I will start after the slots are filled.
5. Check the progress thread for your status – here!
6. Packing Instructions - use a Ziploc for each person and put the element for that person into their bag, with their DIS name and group number on the outside. You’ll have 5 bags for each group, so please put those in a single Ziploc bag and write your DIS name on the outside of that bag. Be sure to include your name and your DIS name in your envelope.
7. Mailing Instructions - Please use the Flat Rate Envelopes ($4.05) or the Flat Rate Box ($8.10) to mail your packages of goodies to me! Include $4.05 for envelope postage (or stamps if you don't want to send cash) to return your items or $8.10 for the box postage. On the outside of your box/envelope please include your DIS name and Swap name in the bottom corner!
8. PM me if you have problems, need to drop out, or if an emergency happens (we all know things happen beyond our control sometimes). Just let me know so I can make arrangements for an angel or other help.
9. There will only be 5 people per group with a total of 8 groups.
10. Most importantly HAVE FUN!!

Element Selection:
-1 Topper - 8 inches wide
-1 Border - vertical, 11 inches in length/width

Let’s Play!!!!! :woohoo:

Sorry I forgot to send my address but I just PMd it to you. I have a great idea so once I get a couple other swaps done I'll knock this one out.

I've got my ideas.. now I just have to get this week of school done so I can make templates to see if they look as good on paper as in my head!
First however, I have to help DD fill out her application to be in journalism class and on the yearbook staff for 7th grade.. boy how times change... I didn't apply for anything like that til high school!

Thanks for the address, Jenny.

Nancy, I know what you mean - DS is starting 7th grade too, and the stuff they do amazes me. He is in advanced classes this year, so he was actually worried (and feeling pressure) that he would be in advanced next year too. I NEVER worried about that - just about grades. This adds a whole new level!

Just checking in! :thumbsup2 I have ideas for my stuff, and I hope to attack them when we get back from vacation. . .KAMommy, how many more days???? :cheer2:

I have all of my stuff for my June swaps lined out, and I hope to finish those by the end of the week. Then it's off to these and the July swaps!

I know.. DD is in advanced classes too...and she is now trying to make sure this summer that she has a tentative schedule for her day.. practices, study time, extra-curricular non-sports clubs... She wants to be really active and I'm thrilled.. I was that way.. still am with the PTO and other things.. However, DH doesn't seem to be that supportive of that.. but he'll wise up soon.. especially once the boys start calling more when he is home and he'll volunteer just to keep an eye on everything! LOL

Thanks for the addy, PixieDust!

And StitchIsOurHero - I count just 8 days!!!!! The next time I see you will be in the World! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Hey all, I just wanted you to know that I am leaving for the World soon. So, I won't necessarily be monitoring this thread for the next week or so. If you have any questions, I will catch them as soon as I can.

Have a great week!! :cool1:

I am done with this one, but am waiting to finish up with the couples swap before I send.

After three failed attempts at shaker boxes, I'm done! The first ones were just too big, the second ones didn't look right. My printer isn't as good as I thought and the Peter Pan/Tink artwork was way too pixilated. This attempt though, I'm happy with. And the good news for me for this swap is that now I own a really cute Tink stamp!

I'll send them out on Monday or Tuesday.

WOW - you guys are my inspiration!!! I am on my way to AC Moore today to buy swap stuff.

BUT my trip album is done and just needs to be put in the scrapbook!!!!

ETA - I just pm'd my address to everybody! Have fun!!!

Well, after the most unsuccessful post office day in history yesterday, my swap pieces were mailed this morning. Yesterday I walked to my local post office. Only a mile so I thought it'd be nice exercise. I got there only to find out that they close for an hour for luch from 1:30-2:30. It was only 1:35, so I turned around and walked home again. My plan was to head out in the late afternoon, stop by the large post office in the next town, and mail the package then but they close early on Tuesdays. Why? Who knows. This is what I get for living in a small town, surrounded by other small towns. Today though, was a success. The package is in the mail.

patchchild, I have been meaning to post, and I keep forgetting...bad swap hostess!

I got your stuff and it is so cute. I was thoroughly impressed, and a bit inspired!

Thanks. :thumbsup2

hopemax...one word...WOW!

Your Duos items are wonderful. Thank you for participating (especially since I get some of your beautiful work to keep :thumbsup2 )

Ladies, I have palm trees - not real ones, and it might not seem like a big deal to anyone but me. BUT I managed to find a clip art, split it up, trace it and cut the trees out with my new Craft Robo (Wishblade clone). Holy Cow!

Okay, so it took all night to cut five little palm trees for my Lilo and Stitch stuff, but I am learning, right? :rotfl2:

This machine is SO cool! Off to play more!

You lucky girl.. Can I road trip to your house and play too???
I want one of those..but that will be in the future.. I'm going down to work on mine in a few.. I've got 4-H projects done (well, DD did it, I supervised)..so now it's back to mommy's projects!!!
