Today was actually are last day INSIDE the parks. Our APs expire at midnight tonight. We decided to hit Magic Kingdom.
We also decided that we would try E-nights tonight!
We didnt quite make it to the opening but when we got there we wanted to head over to Tomorrowland. We saw that The Timekeeper was open! We have never seen this, as it has always been closed, so we headed on it. Now I really had no idea what The Timekeeper was all about, my main complaint was the standing during the whole show! LOL!
It was nice, but we would not go out of our way to see it. My son enjoyed the robot
After Timekeeper, we did the Carousel of Progress! For some reason we just never get tired of this attraction.
DS wanted to go on the TTA afterwards, but it wasnt operating at this time. So I told him he could pick whatever ride he wanted. He decided on the Tea Cups. So off we go for a spin.
It was almost time for the Cinderella Celebration in front of the Castle. We never saw it & it was getting very muggy we decided we needed a little break.
We enjoyed the show a lot.
After the show it was time for our PS over at Tonys Town Square Restaurant. Now, I am a huge Lady & the Tramp fan & although I heard a lot of bad reviews I decided I would still like to eat here. I am glad I did, we really enjoyed the place & there was so many artworks I wanted to take home with me!!! I had the spaghetti (no meatballs) & really thought it was very tasty! My son had the cheese pizza & ate all of it. I cant remember what my mother had, but she didnt have any complaints either. I also purchased a smoothie so I could get the Lady & Tramp collectors mug!
Our servers name was Shannon & she was excellent!
After we ate, we decided to go next store & look around at some picture frames. I ended up buying 4 different ones. We also ended getting my sons picture taken where they put him in different pictures. He got one picture with the Disney Heroes & one with the Disney Princesses!
The skies were looking pretty gloomy at this point & we wanted to get back to the resort for a nap. E-nights started at 11pm tonight & I wanted to try to stay for all of it.
We got back & my son went right to sleep. I went down & got some E-tickets for later on & then I went back to the room for a nap.
About an hour or so of sleeping I woke up to huge thunder rumbling! Thankfully, my son slept through it, so I just laid there until Mickey called to say it was time to get up.
We had some supper & then headed off to Magic Kingdom again.
We did a few non-E-night rides, like Pirates, Magic Carpets, Tea Cups (again!), etc. We were going to do Dumbo but just as we were about to enter it they closed Dumbo because of lightning in the area.
We watched WISHES from the Liberty Square area. It was raining at this point but not too bad. The crowds already didnt seem bad.
Now, if you have read any post from me about E-nights from last year, you would know I am not a fan of E-nights. We went last June (2003) & were so disappointed in it. We could not even get on every ride! It was PACKED!!!!!! I vowed never to try an E-night again ..well ..I decided to give it ONE more try!
Well, now I know why everyone talks so highly of E-nights .it is awesome!!!
We went on Buzz Lightyear 6x, Peter Pan 7x, Haunted Mansion 6 or 7x, Winnie the Pooh 5x, Mickeys Philharmagic 2x!!!
It was like no one else was in the park! A lot of times we didnt even get off the ride, we just went right on through.
One time when we went into the Haunted Mansion, my son & I were the ONLY ones in the stretching room!!!! In fact the friendly housekeepers informed us that we were the ONLY ones in the building!!!!
It was an awesome night & a wonderful way to end our time inside the Disney parks! We ended up staying until closing & slowly made our way to the exit of the park. We enjoyed watching the castle turn colors it was so beautiful & peaceful . I could have stayed there all night!
Just as we reached the end of Main Street, my son & I turned around & we said good bye to the Castle, as I knew this would be our last time until at least 2006. We blew the Castle a kiss & said good-night to the Castle & Magic Kingdom & went back to the Contemporary where we all fell peacefully asleep.
