Sorry for the late post, we finally got our cruise info in the mail this week. We are in cabin 8520. My DCL cruise app countdown clock says says that we are 27 days from sailing! I am sooooo ready for a vacay!!!

You guys, I am SOOOO excited!!! Thanks for the final spreadsheet-- putting the finishing touches on our gifts. And WaltDisney2014, I would be happy to include your family!

Of course everything nautical is "hip" this year, I think I have a weeks worth of cruise-themed clothes for the kids-- I'm going to have to change their outfits 3 times a day to work it all in!

A question for those who have cruised with kids in the past- last time our littles both fit on the bottom berth, but this time one of my girls wants to sleep up top. They turn 5 a couple of days after we sail. Do you think it's ok for an almost 5 year old to sleep up there? She's not a squirrely sleeper, and my DH thinks I'm being crazy, but I am just a teensie nervous about it.

You may call ahead and request rails for the bunk bed. At least that is what I was told when I made my reservation. Without the rail I don't even want my 11 year old sleeping up there.

Hello Fellow Cruisers,
So excited to be going on our first cruise in March. A huge thank you to everyone for letting us join the party late. Being our first cruise I was a little daft and didn't know this all existed. Again, thank you for welcoming us. We live in Minnesota and this winter has been really quite something, so we can't wait to get away from the snow and cold for a few days. I am a teacher and in 17 years we had 3 snow days total. We have had 6 in January and February this year (4 for frigid temperatures, even by our standards, and 2 snow/blizzard days). Really crazy and definitely time for some sunshine!
My boys 8 and 10 are excited for everything about the cruise, so this is just icing on the cake.

Hi ebloom! I wasn't lucky enough to make the cutoff date...we booked at the last minute, the 14th, and my dumb smart phone wouldn't let me message in. Anyway, I still plan on sending everyone a FE and if possible can I have your RM# (I have everyone else's). Don't worry if you don't have anything to give my daughter, Ashley; A happy little note will make her day! We are having a blast just working on FE!

Woohoo! I called DCL today to get the list of movies that will be showing during our cruise. We have some GREAT options, including the brand new "Muppets Most Wanted." I'm especially excited about watching Nemo in 3D while on a ship in the middle of the ocean - haha!

I never seem to have the time to see movies in "real" life, so I love watching them onboard.

Woohoo! I called DCL today to get the list of movies that will be showing during our cruise. We have some GREAT options, including the brand new "Muppets Most Wanted." I'm especially excited about watching Nemo in 3D while on a ship in the middle of the ocean - haha!

I never seem to have the time to see movies in "real" life, so I love watching them onboard.

You forgot one....Frozen Sing Along! The movie has all of the songs closed captioned at the bottom so you can sing along with the movie! How COOL!!

Sending a box to the Ship in advance of Cruise
Many people find with the airlines restricting the amount of luggage you can have it is easier and cheaper to send a box of your items to the cruise ship. It is a great way to save room and weight in your luggage when you ship a box containing your Pirate costumes, diapers and baby supplies, snorkel gear, beach toys, etc. Before you ship anything, please be aware of the guidelines below.

• One box per stateroom, no exceptions.
• The package must have the guest's full name, ship, sailing date, stateroom number or GTY if you have not been assigned a stateroom number.
• The package also must have a packing slip attached to the outside of the box that details the contents of the package. For prescriptions, a copy of the prescription is sufficient. Your list may or may not be read but it must have one. Write packing slip on the outside of the envelope.
• NO FOODS/DRINKS OF ANY KIND, LIQUOR OF ANY KIND, FIREARMS, ETC. Items that cannot be shipped to the Disney Cruise Line Warehouse and delivered to the ship include: food products (any and all food products including baby food/formula), beverages (liquor, water, etc.), chemicals, and luggage. These items will not be accepted at the warehouse and will be returned.
• The size of the carton you are shipping has to be able to be carried.. Aprox 20-25lbs.

In the bottom left corner of the top of the package put the following information:
ATTN: Housekeeping

• Sail Date
• Ship
• Stateroom Number
• Packing slip
Packages must arrive by Friday by 3:00 PM for the 7-Night Cruise on the Disney Magic. (Saturday)
Packages must arrive by Friday by 3:00 PM for the 4-Night Cruise on the Disney Wonder. (Sunday)
Packages must arrive by Wednesday by 3:00 PM for the 3-Night Cruise on the Disney Wonder (Thursday)
If your box is hit on by the screening dog or chosen for additional screening they will open the list and the box and look through it. They will close it back up and provided nothing forbidden is in it, then it will be in your room as usual after boarding. These boxes will be coming on the ship with the crew mail among other things so they may be in the staterooms later than the rest of your luggage.

We leave 3 weeks from today! Yippeee! Getting all our Fish Extender stuff together has really been fun, especially since I got to shop for girls. Can't wait to leave, it will probably still be below zero here, making it that much sweeter!
