I haven't figured out how to reply directly to your comment....it said I had an error. Anyway, thanks for the pointers. I had not thought of the binoculars, great idea! Are the extra outlets allowed? I thought I read somewhere that those could be confiscated.

We are getting so excited! I've been working on the FE's and even (accidentally) saw a peak at another one of our cruisers FE's (she knows who she is)! I can't wait to see the excitement on my boys faces. This is all new to them (and us) so they don't quite understand how it works.

Now it looks like I need to check out this countdown app!

I'm unable to reply to a previous message you sent. It says I can only do so if I have 10 or more entries, which I don't. I'm personally ok with doing something for the family you inquired about. I can always get something together, even if it may be different from the others. I would hate for the boys to miss out. That's my thought so just let me know the final decision.

Thanks, Jenny. I didn't hear back from most people, but the few who responded felt the same way as you. So, I let ebloom know that we could add her family to the list. I think she's going to head over to introduce herself soon.

But now it is official, set in stone, locked down and not budging. Our total count is 16 cabins, 28 adults and 31 kids setting sail on the Dream in....exactly 30 days.....wheeeeee!

Could someone please help me.!? I read somewhere it was too late to sign up for FishEx. Please understand my situation and maybe find it in your heart to add my 11 year old girl Ashley.

My husband has been in either Iraq or Afghanistan for the past 5 years. It is almost impossible to plan a vacation ahead of time. And with my husband and I having had surgeries, any vacation planning was out the door. (my child solely was my nursemaid while I was recovering. She took care of ALL the chores and animals and even cooked for me). Anyway Ashley is homeschooled and has NO OTHER FAMILY and finds complete happiness and excitement with anything Disney. Please if you can find it in your hearts to include her in your fish exchange I would be most grateful!!! Even just a note wishing her Happy Birthday would be wonderful for her. (Dad has missed all her birthdays for the past 5 years so we are celebrating early). Our room is 8643 and we are the Michael Family. THANK YOU SO MUCH in advance!!!!!

Hi WaltDisney2014,

I'm SO sorry you missed the fish extender deadline. We did have one person who missed it by just a couple days that we made an exception for, and I personally gave my word that I would make no additional exceptions due to people having to order their supplies or make their gifts.

To make it up to you, I will drop off a gift at your door to make up`for missing the fish extender list, though. Your daughter sounds like a very special young lady, and I'm sure she is going to have a magical cruise no matter what.

Thank you so very much! I guess my humble plan now would to humbly ask each member on the list. If they can and if it isn't an inconvenience it would be wonderful. If it is an issue for them I will completely and totally understand. A simple note would mean the world to her! I will send everyone's kids something regardless.

I wish I was talented enough to make our own FE, but the last time I tried to sew, I stitched my thumb up pretty good.

We had used Jolee's Pockets in the past, and loved her. But she had a recent surgery, so we went FE shopping and lucked out with our choice. Tammy from Magical Dreams Boutique was a pleasure to work with and she did a great job, too.

I was looking through our pics from our last cruise and thought of a tip for first time visitors to Castaway Cay. We love the snorkeling, and the water was crystal clear. But we were a little shocked by how chilly the water was!

Last year we went in April, so I'm expecting it to be even a little chillier this time. I still highly recommend the snorkeling, because there were a lot of cool things to see underwater. But be prepared for it to be a bit cooler than you might expect. Love this pic my daughter took!

Your FE looks great. I also ordered ours and should receive it in a couple of weeks. Unfortunately I don't have any sewing talent. I can sew a straight line but even that is sometimes questionable....hehe.

I'm glad the water temp info was helpful, Jenny! The day we were at Castaway Cay, it was sunny and hot, so we sure didn't expect the water to be so cool. My husband's usually better at estimating temps, so I asked him what he thought it was. He guessed low 80s, maybe 82-84. That was the last week of April so I would imagine March temps will be a teeny bit lower. It's still SO worth it so see all the underwater sights.

In case participants have last minute room changes or upgrades at port, there will be a dry erase board set up at my room where you can leave cabin changes.

Just put your Disboard name and new room, so we can find you. And if you just want to leave a note to say hi, that's great too.

I am a planner, too. I can totally relate! I just received ebloom's info and will get that in the document asap. I may have a chance to update on my lunch break, otherwise it will be tonight. In the meantime, I will PM her info to you so I don't delay crafty progress.

So excited to be going on our first cruise in March. A huge thank you to everyone for letting us join the party late. Being our first cruise I was a little daft and didn't know this all existed. Again, thank you for welcoming us. We live in Minnesota and this winter has been really quite something, so we can't wait to get away from the snow and cold for a few days. I am a teacher and in 17 years we had 3 snow days total. We have had 6 in January and February this year (4 for frigid temperatures, even by our standards, and 2 snow/blizzard days). Really crazy and definitely time for some sunshine!
My boys 8 and 10 are excited for everything about the cruise, so this is just icing on the cake.

We are usually a pretty hearty bunch here, this really has been one heck of a winter. My husband and I grew up in Grand Forks, North Dakota and we thought it was down right tropical here in Minneapolis by comparison when we first moved. Now, Grand Forks, that place is cold! They had a streak of like 20 some days in January when the high for the day didn't get above zero. Fun! I guess it is all in what you are used to.
