This morning at MK right in front of the castle there was a dream wedding. The couple had won it from Bride or Bridal magazine. Not sure which one. It was cloudy at first but then a few minutes before the wedding started the clouds drifted away and the sun shone.

They had the unity candle set up on the stage that lifts up for the show. They had royal trumpet players, a footman, orchestra and tons of beautiful flowers.

The bride and her father arrived in a horse drawn coach which had come up Main Street USA.

Ryan Cabalara (don't know the spelling) (but he was Ashlee Simpson's boyfriend a while back) walked passed me and I thought it was him. He was carrying a guitar case but didn't have an entourage or anything. He played his guitar and serenaded the couple.

They had a huge tent set up in the rose garden right where the Christmas tree usually sits. It was beautiful with handing chandelers and lots of flowers on huge pedistools. It was very windy and the flowers kept falling over. the theme was from Beauty and the Beast and the flowers were beautiful oranges, ivory and green. They had candelobra's as well.

ET and the Food Network were there filming and it will be featured in the upcoming issue of the magazine.

It was very elegant and there weren't any characters or fireworks.

About 45 minutes after the ceremony we saw the bride and groom, photographers and camera crew get on the carousel.

What an absolutely beautiful wedding, beautiful bride and a georgous day!

I did take pics but only with my cell phone. I will try to get them on and post them.

how exciting-- i would have been so jealous had I been there. What a memorable experience! Were the crowds at the MK unbarable?

That is truely amazing... cant wait to see it...

oh man, I totally entered that contest! haha.

oh well, sounds like a lovely wedding. Maybe I'll see it on tv?

yes, the park was open. The ceremony started at 9:50 or close to it.

The crowds were fine. just a little hectic around the hub in the front of the castle.

It's suppossed to be on ET (Entertainment Tongiht) and the Food Network

Thanks for sharing. I also looked at the other thread with pictures. The bride looks absolutely stunned-happy - like it was all too much excitement! I'm sure it was completely magical for them!

Doesn't this kind of fly in the face of DFTW's "rule" to not have brides in the parks so as not to ruin the illusion for kids (and adults too)?

Personally I wouldn't have liked a bunch of MK visitors witnessing my wedding, but that's just me.

good point Jen....and i would be even more nervous with all those people watching...i was scared enough about tripping in front of my family imagine all of the onlookers as well..

wooowww....I'm so jealous! lol! I'm going to go see when it is on tonight and TIVO that thing! :thumbsup2 well, if I get home on time...

Thanks for the eyewitness reporting, Mom2of2! I loved the cell phone camera pics, too! :thumbsup2

You know, after seeing them I'm not jealous anymore!

Just imagine being out in the blazing sun on a huge, sparsely decorated stage... having five photographers crouched next to the groomsmen to capture closeups... scores of handlers and film crews and onlookers crowding around... and not even getting to ride in Cinderella's carriage!

I'll take a regular DFTW any day! ;)

I agree. I would have rather paid the 25k + to have my own private ceremony... IDK it's weird with park guests

The Dream Team had David Tutera in it and I think he is the one that designed the reception area. From what I have seen on the DFTW website, it looks like one of the new Couture wedding looks.

I just went over to the other board and saw the other person's pics. WOW!! What a beautiful wedding!! Who knows what kind of VR we'll be able to have in 10 years... maybe they'll bring that ridiculous minimum down from $500,000 to something a bit more affordable.... :goodvibes

They already did Diane, you must have missed it. Its now $25,000(site fee) plus food and beverage minumums at the MK, with an early morning ceremony time.

You better go ahead and start saving for the VR now!!
