As a bigger guy I felt the Wish seats were very narrow and uncomfortable. Are the Dream theater seats the same or are they larger?

Can I get into the theater on Embarkation day when nobody is around and test them out?

I don’t know if the seats are narrower on the dream vs wish but we actually scored seats in the opera box on 2 out of our 3 nights of live musicals on the Dream. The opera box (I think that’s what it’s called) are seats on the balcony level on the sides and these had regular chairs without arms and you could move them around the space. There were I think 8-10 seats in each opera box. The first night we lucked out and found these seats and then got in line early the next night in an attempt to grab them. I know that’s not what you were asking for but I figured I’d share another option!

Thanks! That's what I did on the Wish as well. How was the viewing from there?

I’m relatively short (5’3”) so sometimes the railing was in the way but overall we loved having the box area and the ability to not be as cramped and close to others in the traditional seats.

Thanks so much. I'm hoping to try out a regular seat without people around first and then all else use that area as I did on the Wish.

I’m not sure if/when the theater is open but we actually had it as our muster station location. Maybe you could try and stop by after muster drills to see if you could walk in there.

Very important to be specific here for the Dream. Their two theatres are very different.

The seats in the Walt Disney Theatre (Stage performances) are virtually the same size on all of the ships. Certain seats, especially ones in the balcony area have TONS of leg room and are usually regular chairs instead of theatre seats. I would encourage you to arrive on Deck 4 balcony around 30 min prior to whatever show you want to see to access these seats. I always aim for these as we are tall people and don't fit in the regular seats. The boxes are on the left and right hand side of the stage.

The regular seats in this theatre aren't designed for you to sit longer than 45 min - Hr. I did one of the Avengers movies in the WD theatre on the dream and it was a TOUGH 3 hours.

The WD theatre isn't typically open throughout the day as it is used for rehearsals and other things. Best bet would be to stop by on the first night before or inbetween shows and try out a seat for yourself.

The seats in the Buena vista theatre (movies) are the best out of all of the ships in my opinion. The seats are ultra plush loungers that are designed to sit for a full movie. I doubt you'll have much trouble fitting into any of these seats. This theatre is usually open throughout the day.

Happy sailing!
