Disney Dream ~ September 15, 2011

LOL Well, no one told the Stroller Army that. Those things are everywhere and so loaded with stuff that I think people bring them just to have something on wheels to push it all in. Kinda like the people I saw at WDW with coolers riding in strollers ... no kids, just coolers. :confused3

In fact, Kyle and I were talking about the stuff left in strollers. There was an unattended back on the ground that security had roped off, but all the unattended strollers around it were full of stuff too. So, why freak out about a bag and not a stroller full of stuff? :confused3:confused3:confused3

And technically, DL wasn't my first love. I'd been to WDW four times before setting foot in DL. :thumbsup2

Ok Ok I'll take it back! WDW is still better though!!

LOL You don't have to take it back. :rotfl2: I'm sure things disappear all the time. I read a whole thread three years ago about strollers being stolen in WDW's Fantasyland. Very sad!

Hey everyone! It's nice to "get to know" you more! :goodvibes Junior & I have been going to WDW since August 1993...three months after we first met. Yep...he suggested it, we went to a TA and booked the trip. I barely knew him, but I knew he was a keeper! :rotfl: Then we went again in 95 for our honeymoon. And again in 97. That's when we became DVC owners. And we've gone just about every year since. Sometimes twice a year. But then Disney had to go and build these amazing ships and ever since we've found that we'd rather go on a cruise than go to WDW. :confused3

Well...I'm off to DREAMland....I'm fighting a cold and sore throat so I better get to bed early since Monday's are already bad enough. :upsidedow

I hope ya'll are having a great Tuesday morning. I know I am!!! I am at work.............the next best place to be other then sailing with DCL or enjoying WDW!!!!:lmao::lmao::lmao: Wow even I couldn't say that with a straight face!!!

Does everyone have their cruise docs, and ready to sail away!!! Sure hope so. It's coming up face everyone. Our sail date is just a matter of days away now!!! Had a dream the other night............DW and I were on the AquaDuck and about midway thru our ride the water shut off and we were stuck in the tube. A CM had to crawl thru to help us get out! Don't know why I had this strange dream!!!:confused3 I am a swimmer and love the water, DW too!!! Just one of those dumb things you dream about for some unknown reason!!! :confused3

Well, better get to work. Talk to ya'll later!!!:yay:

David, we don't have our cruise docs from our TA quite yet. Should be towards the end of this week. I'm sooooo excited! My reward for my patience will be a 2nd package o'wonderful from my TA with lots of little goodies and stuff for our entire trip. WooHOOO!

Yep, the trip is creepin' up fast! I finally finished the last details of my FE gifts yesterday. Now to just get the top coats finished on the FE hanger and I'm done! I think I'll mail what I can to myself and carry only what I have to. So fun!

Ok everyone, here is my first freak out question :thumbsup2 Sorry, it's getting close to sail date and we've never been on a cruise before so I'm trying to organize and prioritize!!

So what are our options for handling tips? I've noticed that a few posts ago someone said they have their tips prepaid or ready...is that in an envelope? Who all should we tip on the cruise/port?

Thanks guys...I will try to keep my freakin out down to low roar :rotfl:

First off let me tell ya'll that the Dream is in Port Canaveral today. Go to www.portcanaveralwebcam.com She sure is a great looking ship!!!

Cattrix as far as the tipping goes. We usually tip the porters at the terminal, who take such loving care of your luggage for you, anywhere from $2.00 to $3.00 per bag. On our first cruise the porter who was taking our luggage was very helpful - since we were new to cruising and didn't know our way around, he gave us some nice pointers and was full of jokes and treated our granddaughter like a princess. We had 6 pieces of luggage and I tipped him something like $25.00 or $30.00 total. Disney has on their website a list for the different cruises - 3 / 4 and 7 day cruises - how much you should tip per member of your cruise party. We booked our cruise thru Dreams Unlimited and we have already prepaid our tips. We will get an envelope on board for each CM we are tipping with a coupon inside showing their tip has been paid to them. This allows us to put in additional cash for a CM if we want to. (And, we always do!!) We have always gotten outstanding service from all of our CM's on our cruises with Disney. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Thanks davidls!!

I also booked through Dreams Unlimited so I just need to contact my travel agent and tell her that we want to prepay our tips.....

It is a beautiful boat! Just called today and got my prescription for motion sickness for the trip :thumbsup2

We did get our travel documents last Friday, that was a great start to the weekend!!!

I prepaid my tips thru my TA. She also told me that she usually takes an envelope with $50 in $1 bills and keeps it hidden in their stateroom strictly for tipping. I think that might be for longer cruises but you get the idea. Her teenage kiddos enjoy ordering Mickey ice cream bars and such from their stateroom at least once or twice every day so she keeps the singles for them to tip the servers who bring the ice cream, etc. Brilliant! I have a stack of $1 bills going right now. I think I have like 28 or so. Whenever I get singles I just tuck 'em away until I get home and add them to the stack. :thumbsup2

Do you put on the FE what family it is from?

I read that it's optional to identify who your gifts are from. I think I marked all my FE gifts with our name, my username, and/or stateroom #. ;)

Debbie,
Can you check your email? I have questions re: the final fish extender list you sent. I am so confused :confused3

Thanks,
Becky

Becky, did you get my reply?

Did everyone get the corrected list? I'm so sorry for any confusion!!! :flower3:

Yes I got the reply and I just want to say publically THANK YOU :cheer2: It is a great thing that you were willing to keep this list for us and send to us.

I just noticed the differences because with the three jobs that I work it is very important to pay close attention to every small detail. And that is when I noticed the differences. Also as a first time FE exchange participant I wanted to make sure I had what I needed to have to cover all people in all cabins. :thumbsup2

So I think it is all good especially with the details you gave me so I understood where the confusion was. :upsidedow

So thank you, thank you, thank you and I look forward to passing out what I made/(and also things I am bringing) and to receive things also. I love surprises. :goodvibes

Becky
