Just booked our family's very first cruise!! I am beyond excited - I even postponed an verizon iphone so I could go ahead an book. Looks like I got the last family balcony room avaible before it shoots up to the higher dollar amounts, thank goodness. I could not have gotten my husband on board with those prices for only a 3 day sailing in Sept.

We are having a family reunion the week before in Disneyworld, then we are going to wisk away to a fun filled cruise. 10 days of pure Disney bliss.

I would like to join the FE group. It will be me, Joni, my DH, Troy, and our three kids, Kyler (9), Kayla (8), and Kennedy (2).

I have always sewn custom outfits for my children to wear to Disney - I can't wait to get started on the custom cruise wear. I am seeing adorable nactical wear in my future. I can't wait to see a custom gown for the Royal Palace. The thing I am worried about is that our night for Royal Palace will be pirates night. I don't want magical royal princesses and ballrooms spoiled by dirty rotten pirates.

I am just so exicted I can hardly sit still. This is going to be a long wait to Sept. I can tell you that!

Arrrr! If your dining rotation works out that way, you can always request that it be changed as soon as you get on board.

I can say the same about cooking!! Back when I was in home EC, there was one boy in the class full of girls. At the end of the semester, students who got an 80% or above were exempt from writing the final exam. I'm ashamed to say, I was the only one who had to write that exam. !!
Now ask my DH, who will tell you I CAN cook, I just hate to. Thankfully he likes it, so he does 95% of the cooking in our household.

Well, looks like DW and I are going ahead and booking an Eastern Caribbean cruise on the Fantasy for June 2012. We were going to wait until on board the Dream to do this in September, but after DW and I talked it over and then we contacted our TA we decided to go ahead and book now. This way we will be sure to get the price, stateroom and deck we want. Like a Judy said in an earlier post the Dream is a big hit, and Disney knows the Fantasy will be too. So our TA advised us to go ahead and book our next cruise now.
Yhis will be a belated birthday present for our Granddaughter who will turn 13 on June 7, 2012. (Oh know the terrible teens!!!!!)

A FE is a fish extender. DCL have little fissh outside the door of the cabin for mail. A FE hangs from the fish giving you room to put special little surprises in your friends mailbox. They can be small little trinkets, homemade goodies, or anything else you can think of that someone might enjoy. It is just a small way to share the magic with others.

That being said, I have never been involved in this before as this is my first cruise, so please feel free to correct me if I am wrong!!

I will be making mine shorlty and I will post pictures when I am done.

OH NO!!!! My vacation plans are falling apart at the seams!!!!!!

Our original plan was that my DMiL and DSiL & her family were joining us on this cruise. Now DMiL might back out. My problem is that one of my nephews was booked in her room and the room my DSiL is booked in cannot accommodate any more passengers due to the Meritime law. (I think that's what it's called) That's because that particular group of staterooms is at full capacity for the lifeboats, so they cannot add anyone else to any of those rooms. So, either my DMiL comes through for us or my DSiL has to pay an extra $300 to get a Gty 5C room. UGH!!!!!! AND they HAVE to go with us or else we can't go. Because we're booked for the member cruise after this cruise but our kids aren't on the member cruise with us, so we need them to take our kids back home after this cruise.

So, please send me some that everything works out!

Hi everybody! It's about time I checked in here! DH & I will be on this cruise.

We will be first time cruisers and are really looking forward to it! We are, of course, huge Disney fans. When we moved from CT to FL back in 2004, we decided where to live by drawing a circle around WDW and only looking inside that circle. I see that there will be a wedding in the group on this cruise. DH & I also had a Disney wedding. We eloped to Disneyland in Sept 2000 and will be celebrating our 11th anniversary on this cruise. Our actual anniv date is Sept 12, so we'll be in a park for that, probably MK, but the cruise will be the big celebration for us this year.

A side note to David - retirement is AWESOME!!!! You'll love it! I've never had any problem finding excuses not to get things done around the house! For example, you have to prepare for all your rides on the AquaDuck! The question is - How are we going to get all the kids out of the way so we adults can ride?!

I'm bookmarking this thread so I can check in on it when I'm online. Both Barry (DH) and I are looking forward to meeting all of you.
