Deb - sent you email to get on the fe list. Sorry it took me so long.

I had a bad day last friday - I somehow at work managed to sprain my thumb and let me tell you this is one of the most painful injuries I have ever had I don't recommend it

Anyway had to go back to doc again today cause I got not one iota of relief from ibuprofen over weekend or from splint they gave me friday. So today I got some pain meds and a custom splint. Doc said it would be 4 weeks before I feel better. UGHHH!!!!!

UGGHHHH! I KNOW how that can hurt. As a kid, I once sprained my middle finger while swimming. Ya don't ask what I was doing, but I can honestly say I was NOT giving someone the bird, though I felt like doing just that afterward! OUCH!!
I hope it wasn't the thumb on your dominant hand, that makes tasks much trickier I would think. So sending you quick recovery Pixie Dust

Hey anyone else pin collectors? We have collected for years and are addicted. We'll definitely be attending those activities!

I'm not into pin collecting but I got my boys into it. I usually buy them girly disney pins from ebay, and then they trade those ones. They are reluctant to trade any pins they like which are any that THEY pick either through buying or trading. But if I get them something like Tinkerbell or Princesses, they WANT to trade those, and have fun choosing a new one at the trade!

Working in the ER, I see so many injuries involving bones doing things that they shouldn't be. I know first hand the pain that you are in. I hope that you feel better soon

thanks for the get well thoughts. Unfortunately it is my dominant hand (my right) but I am learning a new skill - How to be left-handed

gotta make the best of a bad situation.

I saw a video of someone riding the aquaduck on a different thread and it got my excited again about the trip. Not to be confused with I haven't been excited all along (especially with my dd's wedding on this cruise) but somtimes life gets in the way.

Videos of tha AquaDuck are cool. But it was really cool to see people riding it from many feet away...We recently got back from a cruise on the Norwegian Epic and we were parked next to the Dream in Nassau. The Dream is a really pretty ship (so was the Epic, for what it's worth), and I can't wait to get on it and try the AuqaDuck!

Just found out today that I have been a victim of identity theft. To make it even worse it was by a family member that I let into my home. I went from crying to angry then back to crying. However, now I am on here reading TR'S and it is helping me to feel better. I have to press charges to get it off my credit report, but I know that it will get better after it is said and done. Just have to vent anyway I can.

Well guys we are getting close to the cruise. It is not too much longer and we will be able to make our ressies.

My big boss, the owner of the company I work part-time for, called me into his office Wednesday morning. He asked me if I could come out of semi-retirement this August and work full time until the end of this year. That is 5 FULL months of full time working my friends!!! (Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh my aching back!!!!) It seems my immediate boss is retiring too. And, they need me to fill in until they can get someone else trained for the supervisors position. (ME..............why oh why ME!!!!) I'm a nobody.............a slacker...............a ner' do well...............a lazy bum.......a goof off....................(somebody stop me here..........I could go on,and on, and on, and on...............) Well to make a long story short, I guess I will have to help out! But guys it's ME!!!! WHY???

That was one of the first things out of my mouth when I was talking to the owner. He said that was not a problem. I am not going to miss this cruise!!!

You know Becky you are right. We are taking our Granddaughter on The Disney Fantasy in June 2012. This will help pay for it. It's just............well..............I've gotten use to only working just 3 days a week. There are 3 places I'd rather be............1) On a Disney Cruise - 2) At Walt Disney World and 3) At home!!! Kinda spoiled huh!!!

Nothing wrong with being spoiled. I just thought it was ironic that you seemed so upset when I would look as it as more Disney money. But.....that being said - I know what you mean about getting used to not working.

Hope everyones week is going ok. My thumb is finally starting to feel better. Not healed yet but definitely not as painful.

I totally <3 you right now! It's been an overwhelming week. My house looks like a hurricane has torn thru. I've been on the verge of just running out the door screaming. It's so good to know there's someone else who "gets" this.






Aside from all that stress....I'm propped up in bed going over the FE List and getting my ideas together. We have a mostly boy crew, ya'll. The current kid-count including my 2 is 11 boys to just 3 girls. Wowzers! There's more women than men so us grown-up girls bring the numbers back in line a bit with 19 women to 13 men. Also, it's neat to see just how many couples are cruising without kiddos. That's interesting! We have 7 kid-free couples (lucky dogs! <-- remember: just call me "Toasty"!) and 10 families. Cool stuff! I'm sure getting excited about all this FE stuff! What fun!






Oh! Been meaning to ask! Who's got which excursions in mind? We're hoping to do the kayaking w/nature walk thing on CC. I'm thinking *maybe* we'll do some snorkeling. The boys currently say they want to hang with us on CC but you never know. They say that now because they are rarely ever away from us. I'm **hoping** they'll be spreading their wings a bit more and actually want to go do stuff without us some.

During Nassau day we intend to stay onboard. I want to catch an animation class if I can. We want to do any ship tours possible. Hubby wants to do a couples massage (which is quite surprising, really). Being that we're first time cruisers we'll be the under-dogs on the pickins. Oh well. No matter what we do or don't do I'm certain we'll have a totally fab time!

I am definitely doing the rainforest at the spa more than once
Nassau we will probably do Atlantis on our own and CC will be more about relaxing and being lazy. I know that my DH will want to stay in one spot and eat.

I am starting to look for ideas for the FE exchange and I am coming up with some nice stuff.

For Nassau, I don't know yet. We probably won't book through Disney though once we decide what to do.

Starting on our 3rd cruise, we started going to Cabbage Beach, a free public beach about 3/4 mile down the road from Atlantis. It's nice to get off the boat and spend a few hours on a Bahamas beach. It costs $4/person cab fare each way. There is a small resort there called Sunrise Beach Club (http://www.sunrisebeachclub.com) that has all the amenities you'd need, including beachside massages and a tiki bar.

We will definitely be going there again, on this cruise.

Well, it took it all week...........but Friday finally got here!!!
DW and I are heading over to WDW this evening after work. We are celebrating our 45th Wedding Anniversary!! (I am sure lucky she kept me around all of these years!!!) Ya'll have a great week-end!!!
