Disney Dream - Prices

Wow that's a really great price!

That's what I thought, considering I'm paying just about the same, for a 4 day cruise in the same category for our April 2010 cruise!!!

April 2010 cat. 10 is $769.00pp (4 day)
August 2011 cat. 10A is $779.00pp (5 day double dip)

Planning to book the 6/26/2011 for 2 adults and 2 children when booking opens up for silver members. Looking for cat 5a-c. Anyone have any information on rates for that cruise ?

Hi Brantley! :-)

Actually I asked about that cruise yesterday. Two adults two kids here as well. A category 5A was $5,640 including insurance. Just for comparison, the cruise we booked (Aug. 16) was $4,220 for that same category including insurance.

Thanks Jeff!!!!

We are looking at that date because it is 2 days after Savannah's birthday. We may try to do about 5 days at WDW and then hit the cruise!!!

:thumbsup2

We had picked out 2 dates. One early summer. One late summer. The late summer prices are just too good to pass up! We will also probably combine some WDW time with that trip.

Booked a 5e for 3A and 1C June 21, 2011. $5200. Got an assigned stateroom.

2 adults

8/2 & 8/7 same price (no ins, no xfer, no air)

9A - 2332.34
9B - 2252.34
10A - 2112.34

8/16 (no ins, no air, no xfr)

9A - 1832.34
9B - 1792.34
10A - 1552.34

Thanks Magiroux for the info. At the current exchange rates thats between £950 and £1100 for the 16th. I think that's great! Fingers crossed I can get what I want when I go to book on Monday. Still not sure whether to phone in or go online. :confused3

I'm on countdown to booking next Monday I've even manged to sweet talk my boss into giving me the day off>

FYI: Some rooms are opening up today. I was able to switch suites on my cruise. I think some people had their TA's hold cabins, but chose not to put down a deposit. If you didn't get the room you wanted originally, you may want to try again.

We have a suite booked and paid $400 per person deposit for the 1/30/11 sailing. I see that some people paid $500 per person deposit for suite. I just called DCL again to confirm, and they said that mine was correct.

Any idea why they'd be charging two different deposit amounts???

Not sure -- because as I'm reading many posters are saying the deposit was $200/pp -- but I paid $300/pp for a 4-night in June! :confused3 Oh well, less to pay later.

I really wish we could have something like what Lisa did for the bookings a few weeks ago, where ALL the pricing info for ALL the cruises was in that first post in the sticky! It would be so much easier to compare sailing dates/categories and make an informed decision if it was all in one place! I noticed that LiseG started doing that (post #287), but it seems like the pricing info is still all over the place and is so hard to follow!! Trying to decide between Oct and early December and between several different categories, and I really don't know for sure what to tell my TA to book for me, which makes me wonder if I just need to book myself (though I really don't want to)!

I know, I know.... it's much better than going into Monday morning completely blind, and I am very thankful to everyone who has posted their pricing info so far! THANK YOU!!

In order the all prices to be posted in the first post the OP of this thread would have to compile all the prices and list it in the post.

At least you will have a head's up when booking Monday, those of us that booked this past Monday had no clue. I gave my TA the date I wanted and stateroom options I was looking at. She was able to get the pricing and put the hardest to book cabin on a 5 day hold. So you TA can hold a cabin for you until you decide which cruise to book.

To those with prices already. Will the 4 night on the dream cat 12 cost more than on the wonder since its a new ship

FYI -- we added insurance and transfers to our 6/3 ressie. Insurance for three adults is $151; transfers are $69/pp.

[We're only doing one-way transfers from airport to port ($35/pp) as after the cruise we are going to Universal Park (will have a private town car service for that).]

I called last night to inquire about the 4-day October 9, 2011 sailing for 2 adults-- no insurance, transfers or airfare. Here's the info I got (cabin total):

Cat T: $4,212.34
Cat V: $2,732.34
Cat 4A: $1,932.34
Cat 10A: $1,092.34
Cat 11A: $1,052.34

We have a 10A on hold. Will require a $200 deposit per person by 11/7. Final payment will be due 7/26/2011.

Hope this helps.

:thanks: Oh thank you sooo much! This info is very helpful. :woohoo:

Thanks from me as well! We will be looking at one of the kids breaks - February, April or September... I am hoping to be able to talk the hubby into April and September, but who knows...

If we do that I will have my Gold status in tme to book the Fantasy early... :cool1:

There are no more cat 12's but there are 3 levels of cat 11 (11A, 11B & 11C with C being the cheapest). Pricing appears to be in line with the old ships depending on the date & length you're looking to book.

ohhhh this is going to take some time to get used to
