It is awfully quiet here. I am getting ready for my trip (in 8 days!) to WDW for Flower and Garden Festival. It will be my first time to see it! Once I get back, I will really focus on my cruise!!

Hope cctimmom is having a blast!! Can't wait to hear what she thinks of the Oasis!

Have a great time - the festival is gorgeous! I was there 2 weeks ago for my birthday and they were starting to set up. I'm thinking of trying to get down for a quick weekend in March just to see it all. I haven't been in a few years.

We'll be heading down in May for the Scavenger Hunt - cannot wait for it! But we're skipping Destination D b/c we already had plans to leave for England that Saturday. Oh well, can't make them all!

so ... I return...

I'm still basking in the glorious memories of RCCL's Oasis of the Seas. We had perfect weather, perfect seas, and the ship.... just... AWEsome. It's huge... so much to do. If you ever do that or the Allure, you have to go realizing you aren't going to be able to fit it all in (I actually am going to go with the same attitude about the Dream, as this is only a 4 night cruise).

Not wanting to hijack the Disney board to talk about RCCL, but if anyone wants to more information on this, feel free to either e-mail me (cctimmom@gmail.com) or go over to the private board.

The one thing I will say... as great as RCCL is, I actually commented at least 3 times on the trip how the RCCL crew members were all very cordial and accommodating, that I felt that Disney truly goes above and beyond. The Disney "cast" all seems to be enthusiastic in doing their jobs and in making you feel welcome 24/7. I just didn't quite get that enthusiasm on RCCL (aside from the amazing CD, whom I loved!) this time. It wasn't bad... just made DCL stand out.


Anyway... my mind is still a bit in the past, than on the future, but I can't wait for the Dream Adventure!

I saw on the main forum that someone asked a question about a cabin that is just below mine, so I was stoked to hear that it's a good choice that I made. I also saw someone post a scaled version of the deck plans, which is pretty cool. I saved it so that I can now start my Dream trip binder.

Hi Everyone...we are booked on the 10/9 Disney Dream! We are heading to Disney for 8 days then doing the 4 night cruise. looking forward to it but nervous of crowds on the ship. I was reading some post about someone who just came back and said crowds were awful? Who knows...we have only cruised Disney one other time in May 2009...The Magic and it was wonderful! It is myself, DH, DS (4) and DD (she'll be almost 2) + my MIL And my Dad. What is the private board all about?

I saw that too! My only guess is that Columbus day is a holiday for some? I'm glad I got in at the price I did though. I do know that it is fall break for some so that might be why too.

A lot of the dates are filling up fast. the popularity of the ship and all of the commercials they have been running have helped. When I looked to see what was available, it showed for our family of 5, the cost would be 6300.00.


As far as Nassau, it depends on what your looking for, if your wanting to see Atlantis, then go, it's beautiful and a great day. there is also the pirates museum, which is within walking distance of the ship. There are plenty of places that you can get day passes to, to enjoy the hotel's beach, pools, food etc. I would recommend the British Colonial Hilton, or you can always get off, go to the straw market, buy some souvenirs , take a walk around and be back on the ship in 2 hours. I would not recommend going to a public beach, that's just me.

Hi Tiff... welcome aboard. Sorry for the delay in getting around to adding you to the roll call. I just got back from another cruise vacation and I'm a little slow coming back to reality.

I'm going to add you to the above.

The private board is just something that I had created for my last cruise on the Magic that I modified to be for this cruise... a placeholder for information and if we wanted to get a little more detailed in a place that's seemingly more private (although what really is private on the internet?) and/or organized (there are separate "forums" for each of the days, for dining, kids stuff, etc.) than we can do on here.

It really hasn't taken off too much yet, but hopefully it will as we get a little closer and really begin to PLAN!
