Disney Dream October 17th 2016

hi! looking for a hail-mary type favor. I am getting married on this sailing, and my friend and her photographer husband just let us know that they won't be able to cruise with us! So not only are we losing attendees--we are losing our photography for our wedding!!

I'm hoping that there is a professional photographer already sailing on this cruise that might be able to photograph our wedding on the Nassau day?? We would pay you, of course. Crossing my fingers for some pixie dust...

We don't have any professionals in our party. Tbh I think you would be very lucky to find someone willing to give up their castaway cay day :( what about inviting another photographer on board and paying for their cruise? I've seen other brides do this on the Disney brides Facebook pages

We currently have transfers booked from WDW to PC and also from PC to orlando airport post cruise. I am cancelling the transfer from WDW to PC. Found a transportation service that is less money than the transfer AND they will do a free stop at a store to pick up beer... (errrrr, I mean water) ok both. AND I pick the pickup time based on my scheduled PAT ;-)
Does anyone know if it's easy to get a good PAT if we are first time disney cruisers? How does that work?
You want to register yourself as soon as your registration time opens. The sooner you do this the earlier arrival time you can get. We had a PAT of 10am on our first cruise.

We are first time Disney cruisers from Indiana. My wife and I have been on cruises but this is our first Disney cruise. This will also be our kids (son-5, daughter-2) very first cruise. My father in law coming too. We have a couple days at magic kingdom (including mickey halloween party Sunday night) then cruisin. It will be a complete surprise for the kiddos. Not telling them until the day we leave for the airport (first flight for them too). Then, they won't find out about the cruise until we are leaving the resort. Cannot wait!!
Question about boarding on Disney as I have read a couple contradicting statements on this on the internets... Do we have scheduled boarding times or is it as you arrive at port get in line? How early do they board generally? Just trying to get the most bang for our buck (or lots of bucks, lol)
Hey, we are from Indiana too! You have to schedule your arrival time and then there is some waiting in line too

Welcome aboard!!! You need to post or reply to 10 messages on this board or any board. Then I can invite you to our conversation. I am also new to Disney Cruise and new to DIS (veteran of Disney world though!! :-)) but I am leading up the FE group! Should be lots of fun!!
Is the FE group still open? We would love to join.

I'm not asking for anything on the CC day. I'm asking for about 4 hrs max on Nassau day.

I know about the photographer thing, but I'm trying to do it for less than that.

Oops! Sorry I misread and thought you said CC. Really hope you can find someone x

We have late dining as it was the only option at our time of booking. Our kids (2 & 5) are usually in bed by then. I was thinking late nap for the little one and then we may be ok with early show & late dinner. Anyone have experience with late dining and little ones? Thanks

I was just told about the Fish Extender Groups. I am still trying to learn about the whole thing. Do you have more info?

I have 4 kids age 9, 8 , 3, and 2...I have never been on a Disney cruise before but at Disney World I usually book dinning later. They are so busy during the day and running around and eating snacks that they are usually fine with eating dinner later....the only naps they get while at Disney is when they fall asleep in their stroller! LOL

Hello! I am the one that has set the FE up for this group. It is my FIRST time hearing about it as well! I looked it up on PINTEREST and found out all about them. Basically each stateroom hangs a "fish extender" up outside there door. (you can google photos of what they look like) Then you sign up with a FE group which usually has around 10 staterooms per group. You'll receive a list of everyone in their stateroom (names, ages, etc..), and what you do is you making little gifts for either everyone in the stateroom or just one gift per stateroom and you deliver it to their room while on the cruise and put the gifts in their "fish extender." It seems like a really awesome idea and fun for the kids!!! I'll probably do a small gift for the kids and one gift for the adults. Let me know if you would like to be added. You have to have at least 10 messages done before I can invite you to our private group conversation. I plan on closing the FE group around Aug 1st so that everyone can prepare and plan for their gifts! Thank you!

I cannot find anywhere info on if our sailing has the infamous pirate party. Does anyone know?
My girls and I are leaving for our 7th Disney cruise this Friday. The pirate night is a blast.
Make sure you have some fund pirate type outfits, eye patches, swords, jewelry, hats, make-up. They will provide bandanas/scarfs for everyone in your cabin the day of. They always have pirate Mickey/Minnie and Captain Jack Sparrow type outfits you can buy on the ship. It is a late night and very loud, if you have young ones make sure they take a nap to be ready for the evenings event. There is a link on the Disney Cruise site that will tell you all about Pirate night. Have fun it's a blast :)
