Disney Dream October 17th 2016

Hi all! My crew just booked on the Dream for 10/17!! We are brand new to Disney Cruise and to DIS. Loving the idea of the FE! Looks like I need to post 10 times to participate? Does that mean in this thread or if I post in other threads? I'd love and happily accept any advice. So so excited about our cruise! There are 5 of us- DH and I will celebrate our 5 year anniversary, and we will have our 13, 11, and 3 year old daughters with us !
Welcome aboard!!! You need to post or reply to 10 messages on this board or any board. Then I can invite you to our conversation. I am also new to Disney Cruise and new to DIS (veteran of Disney world though!! :-)) but I am leading up the FE group! Should be lots of fun!!

Hooray! We are booked as well. This will be our 5th Disney cruise, the 3rd on the Dream. I love this itinerary, we always say, "I wish we had one more day after Castaway Cay"!

I can't wait to see the new enhancements on the Dream. So excited. :)
I have stepdaughters that will be 11 and 13 on the trip. They are excited about Edge! Very cool to find this group and maybe be able to connect with people that have kids around their ages so they will not be nervous about hanging out in the clubs while we have some adult time. This will be our first cruise as a family :)

Excellent!! I'm checking out the other boards and finding lots of fun info! Hopefully I'll be official soon! :)

I think o am ready to be added!! Yay! My kids will be so excited if we get to do the FE!

ATTENTION EVERYONE SAILING OCT 17, 2016!!!!

I am looking to set up a FE (fish extender) list! I am very new at this so please bare with me as I learn! But I don't mind taking responsibility of this list if it means that we can all participate and enjoy it!!! I think this sounds way to much fun to miss out on!!!! We can start seeing who wants to join at first. Than once I can private message, I will invite you all to one big conversation so we can discuss the details of what we want to do. Does that sound okay?? So anyone who is interested in the fish extender please reply to my post. I'll take your Disname down and we will go from there!!
We would love to!

Hello everyone!

My family and I (wife and son- age 10) will be joining you on the 10/17/16 cruise on Dream! This is our 4th DCL cruise (Dream twice, Wonder once) and we are very much looking forward to meeting everyone.

Our son is a little bit shy but loves everything Star Wars, Minecraft, Ninjago, etc... Hopefully one of you has someone his age that he might have the opportunity to meet onboard!

Cheers,
Mike
MY 9 year old son will be with us and he is also into all of those things.

This will be our second cruise and the girlfriend's birthday. We'll be staying at Pop Century for a couple of nights first.
Also, is anyone going into Nassau for the passport stamp?
We are coming into WDW Friday Oct 14th. Staying at pop also. I have a disney transfer scheduled to the port but I have read that these transfers come late in the morning and sometimes you aren't able to board the ship until 4pm or so. Is this true?

We are first time Disney cruisers from Indiana. My wife and I have been on cruises but this is our first Disney cruise. This will also be our kids (son-5, daughter-2) very first cruise. My father in law coming too. We have a couple days at magic kingdom (including mickey halloween party Sunday night) then cruisin. It will be a complete surprise for the kiddos. Not telling them until the day we leave for the airport (first flight for them too). Then, they won't find out about the cruise until we are leaving the resort. Cannot wait!!
Question about boarding on Disney as I have read a couple contradicting statements on this on the internets... Do we have scheduled boarding times or is it as you arrive at port get in line? How early do they board generally? Just trying to get the most bang for our buck (or lots of bucks, lol)

We too are staying at Disney World and going to the Halloween party Sunday night!!! I believe a Disney Cruise Line Bus will take you from your resort straight to the cruise port. It is a scheduled time for the bus to come get you and all your luggage. You will have to be outside at that time they give you. The Disney cruise line transportation is an extra price. ($70 round trip) It is something that has to be scheduled thru Disney or your travel agent.

We currently have transfers booked from WDW to PC and also from PC to orlando airport post cruise. I am cancelling the transfer from WDW to PC. Found a transportation service that is less money than the transfer AND they will do a free stop at a store to pick up beer... (errrrr, I mean water) ok both. AND I pick the pickup time based on my scheduled PAT ;-)
Does anyone know if it's easy to get a good PAT if we are first time disney cruisers? How does that work?

Who are you using for the transfer between WDW and PC?? I was looking into that as well so we can also pick up beer LOL What does PAT stand for??? This is also my first cruise :)

PAT was a new term for me too (had to look it up) Port Arrival Time. I have cruised before but not on Disney. Disney schedules PAT so not everyone gets to the port at the same time. The way I understand it, if you have Disney transportation you do not have a PAT and just get in line when you arrive. If you use private transportation you must schedule your PAT closer to time of sailing. If I am incorrect someone please let me know. We are going with Tiffanys Towncar. They have a mini-van option that has a child seat and a booster seat and will fit 3 adults, 2 kids and 5 bags. That is perfect for us. Ended up being less many than Disney transport PLUS earlier time and the free stop at a store!!

I am not sure with the time you need to arrive then, I didn't know you needed a specific time. I would call Disney Cruise Line..We have a family of 6 so we would not fit into the mini van option. The free stop is a plus though!!
