Disney Dream ~ May 18-22, 2015

We'd love to participate in the FE too! There are three of us. Myself, DW, and DD (2). It'll be our DD's first time! We will be leaving behind our little minpin... We're in 6054.

We would like to partake in the FE!!!!!

It will be myself, Phillip - 27, and my parther, Josh - 19

we are in cabin 5018

I would like to officially "register" our friends who are traveling with us for the FE also.

You can use our DIS name since they aren't on here so far. They will also be on deck 5 next door to us. There are 4 of them DH, DW, DD12, DS7

What does everyone plan to do in Nassau? We typically stay on board...

It's our first time at Nassau, but I still think we're going to stay on the boat there. Everything I've heard seems to indicate it's a waste of time (at least, for our interests). It's our first time on a Disney cruise and we want to take advantage of every moment we can on the Dream, as I know we'll be getting off far too soon.

I think I heard that Palo brunch may be offered on the Nassau day? If that's the case, we might do that (and send DD to the nursery). Otherwise, maybe mini golf, mid-ship detective, pool time, etc. Maybe delivering FE gifts to you guys. :rotfl:

Hi Disney Families! We are nearing the close of our FE! 11 families are signed up, and our cap is 15. After we reach the cap, I will post a list of everything you need to know as far as who's included so you can get your gifts lined up.
I need a couple cabin numbers...so ATTENTION BIFFCO, OTTES4, MARKHEARDJR and SDMOMMYOF3...please post or PM me your cabin numbers. Ottes4, I have your friends down under your name too (but they are counted as an additional family) so please let me know their room too. Any questions, please ask :hippie:

It is our first Disney cruise.... we were gunna do Atlantis beach day, is it worth the amount you spend to do it? If not we would prob stay on the ship as well

Also is there anyway we could have a list of the FE groups as of right now? I'd like to have an idea of how many kids there are. So I can start getting them something :thumbsup2

This didn't like up like I had planned, so everything after bolded name belongs to that name, until you get to the next bolded name. This is just a temporary list until I figure out how to create a nice looking one:confused3

This may be an odd question, but I was looking at the list of families that are participating in the FE, and I was wondering what all of the abriviations are...DH, DW, DD, etc.

Thats a great question...and sorry I didn't put a little legend.
DW=Disney Wife
DH=Disney Husband
DD= Disney Daughter
DS= Disney Son

Some people chose to include their children's ages so for example, my sons are 2 and 4, so under my list it says DS2 and DS4.

Theres a few other abbreviations such as MIL, SIL, FIL...thats Mother in law, son in law, father in law, etc.

Thanks for the question Disneyboy!

We're planning to do a dolphin swim at Atlantis and then time to explore Atlantis or do some water park stuff. We moved our cruise from a 3n to a 4night to get to eat at all the main dining halls and a night at Remy. Although now looking at Remy's menu, we may prefer Palo for the 3rd time instead.

Which reminds me I need to check our stateroom number. Since we switched recently it wasn't assigned yet. Edit, our stateroom is GTY, we'll have to wait till final payments and possibly later to get assigned a room.

We did dinner at Palo twice and brunch once. If you like seafood or omelets I suggest the brunch. If you like traditional things like bacon, eggs, hashbrown, etc. stick to the free breakfast buffet. The brunch had lots of things like scallops, shrimp, lobster, tuna etc. But was limited on the other stuff. Although the hot sticky cinnamon buns are worth it. But I HIGHLY suggest dinner at Palo if you've never been. I love the filet for main course and for starters I get the penne with grilled chicken. My wife loves the chicken with the red peppers, cheese & basil inside. And you CANNOT go on a Disney ship and not have Palo's chocolate soufflé. It is a must! Save room for 2 if you're a big eater. It's that good. We skip the live cart, maybe have a little grana padano with balsamic but I'm not too much on the froufrou stuff.

I'd also suggest you bring something fun to do along with you. If it's super humid outside or raining and you are burnt out by the pools we always love a nice boardgame after dinner in one of the lounges. or a card game. We bring phase 10 and other games with us to have something to do on the sea days or after dinner. You might not need it, but if it's small it's always an option. The ships do have some games, but they get taken or are missing pieces often.

I'm surprised to see so many people list their pets. Are you leaving them all at home and just want a FE gift to take back? DCL is pretty strict about their rules. Must be a service animal.

Animals/Pets/Assistance Dogs

No animals or pets are permitted onboard, except assistance dogs licensed to Guests. The Guest shall have full responsibility for such assistance dogs. The Guest must ensure that assistance dogs brought onboard comply with National Regulations including the Regulations at the various ports of call. Neither the Master nor Carrier is liable to the Guest in respect of any loss or injury to any Guest's assistance dog whilst onboard the ship or in the Carrier's possession/custody. Guests must comply with all of Carrier's policies, procedures and directions relating to service dogs. Carrier will take into custody any animals brought onboard by the Guest other than assistance dogs and land the animals at the next port of call at the Guest's sole expense.

Nobody's bringing pets, though the idea of my cat on a cruise amuses me. :laughing: That's in response to a cruiser that wanted to bring gifts for pets, as she doesn't have kids. I think it's optional. As a side note, though, your post reminded me of an adorable video I once saw: a service dog on a cruise did a meet and greet with Pluto and Pluto got down on the ground and played with him AS A DOG. Sooooo cute!

My DD (23) and I will be joining you all on the Dream. We would love to participate in the FE if it's not too late. (I only counted 11 but I could have missed some people). This will be our 5th cruise but our first on the Dream. It's the only ship we haven't sailed on so we're especially excited. We'll be sailing again, on the Fantasy for my DD's 24th B-day in September. We were thinking of doing the chocolate tour on Nassau cause chocolate is an important food group and we would love to know the best ways to fix it. Other than that, we'll probably spend our time on the ship. Looking forward to a rousing game of Goofy Golf at some point. We are in cabin 9502. We're looking forward to a great cruise with you all.

Welcome to the FE micandkay! We have 13 families now...but still have room for 2 families. I'm still in need of cabin numbers for OTTES4, BIFFCO and MARKHEARDJR. MARK- I know you said there was some changes with your cruise and cabin, so just let me know when you get everything figured out. Thank you!

I know. I got all the emails about the booking and congratulations, blah blah. But stateroom still says GTY. I don't know if they will ever give me a room number up to the day we leave. I have read GTY means your guaranteed a room at that category or better. And you may be in line for upgrades sooner than people with room numbers already given. I'll check again once I'm paid in full. Just need to hit submit on the tax return first. $3900 coming my way! WooHoo!

Hey, fellow cruisers! Small thing and I don't know if it was just us or overall, but I got another confirmation email the other day and realized our cruise is now like $25 less! The fare is the same, but the tax/fee line went down! :thumbsup2 Worth double-checking with final payments coming up!

Mine only went down $6.

Ya mine only went down $6 too but that $6 could buy you possibly a drink on the cruise???? I dunno its my first one, well it could at least go towards the drink lol:rotfl2:
