Disney Dream - June 12, 2011

Steven she is a beauty. And I do mean your daughter. I miss having Grandchildren that age are youngest is 4 and the oldest will turn 23 this year. Oh well maybe Great-Grandchildren will be in my future.

Gloria

Oh my gosh! She's adorable!!!

Thanks to you both. I'm a blessed Guy. There are lots of good lookin' families on this thread. i'm at work right now and I don't have access to many pictures. (Don't tell my boss...it's the after tax-season lull here at the firm, so there's not a whole lot going on) Tonight I will post one of all three of us. Ansley is a year older since that picture with Belle.

We were booked on this cruise before she was born and way back on page 10 of this thread was one when she was brand new Link

Here's someone's post (in red) about the 5 night that just returned......

The show schedule was:
Sunday - Taylor Mason - Ventriloquism
Monday - Villians
Tuesday - Pirates of the Carribean movie
Wednesday - Golden Mickeys- matinee at 3 PM
Thursday - Believe - matinee at 4 PM

Our dining rotation was ERRAE

Soooo... the restaurants repeat on night 3 and 5. I guess that's when you'd want to do Palo or Remy. I don't know that we'll do either.

I'm kinda glad to see the matinees...we figure Ansley won't be able to stay awake for the late show we're scheduled for.

Principessa, the last shot with you and your son, is that the Hall of Mirrors in the Palace of Versailles?

Hey Ashman, why yes, yes it is! We were there last summer. It was an
awesome trip. My husband and I are both French teachers so it was a work
trip. :)

DS and I did sneak off and visit Disneyland Paris too! Or as we call it, mini Disneyworld.
It's such a different experience from being at WDW Florida.

Principessa, I never realized you were from Pittsburgh. We are too and my middle daughter did an Englishfest competition yesterday as well. Was it at Duquesne? What part of Pittsburgh are you from? Our high schoolers have half days today and Monday for finals then Tuesday is a half day for everyone. We are flying out Wednesday morning! :thumbsup2

Yes, DS was at Duquesne yesterday! We actually live in Indiana, PA (50 miles
east of Pittsburgh in the country for those of you not from here). His group was in the lime green t-shirts. He seemed to really enjoy it.

OMG, WAIT, WE ARE FLYING OUT WEDS AM. Southwest at 10:30? You too?
:goodvibes

:thumbsup2

Glad you put a pic on here. Hope to see you at MK! Did you decide what you'll have to "identify" our Dole Whip meet? Since you put your pic on here, though, it shouldn't be a problem, unless it's really crowded. Hope MK day is still a 5!!!!!!

Oh good, I hope you can find us at Aloha Isle. I will be carrying a small lime green gift bag. I will write Double Dippin Dreamers on it. I will be there at 12:45 and will wait in the area by the tables to the right of the dole whip windows. I won't get in line until 1:15. That's the plan! I know it's hard to promise to be anywhere in the parks on a hot day, but if it works out and we can meet some Dreamers that will be great! :thumbsup2

If the line is reasonable maybe we could go ride Pirates. pirate:

Wow! 33 lbs in 3 1/2 months is impressive! I know I've said it before but Congratulations on that!

Here's the million dollar question - How hard is it to learn? I'm completely uncoordinated and a bit worried about looking like Goofy trying to do something like that.

Thanks!
It takes going for 3 or 4 times to learn the routines. And if you have more than 1 teacher, you'll learn each teacher's different moves. It won't take long. At our YMCA, there's 5 teachers. Even after 3 months, I still get "jumbled up" sometimes. And really, all of the teachers will probably tell you, don't worry about the moves, learn them at your own pace. The most important thing is to have fun!

I am totally HOOKED on Zumba! :dance3: I go every chance I get.. it's sooo much fun. :) I was hoping they would start a Zumba class on the Dream since it's so popular right now.. :confused3

I wish they did too!!! I plan to check out the gym, or either just walk/jog on the sports deck.

Hmm.. maybe I should bring some workout clothes just in case. Might be a fun way to give it a try.

I am bringing my work out clothes. Planning to try to do the Castaway 5K one of our CC days. My DD doesn't want to do it, so I'll prob. let her sleep in one of those mornings, and go. We'll just have to see how it goes.

My DD went to a few classes with me, but she really isn't in to it, though. She says it's "hootchie mama"...:lmao: :sad2:

Okay we have almost the exact same shot! From our 2007 Cruise:

A lot of people have been talking about how crowded the Dream is. Here is a picture from 2007 on the Magic at the Sailaway Party. It was crowded then too:

Greetings Triplet Mom from Twin Mom Plus One! I have three boys -- ages 11, 9, and 9 (turning 12 and 10 just after the cruise). So my oldest will be in the tween group. Even though he is headed into 7th grade, we have junior high rather than middle school in our school district, so he may be closer to the elementary mindset since he just "graduated" last week.

He is pretty excited to try the Edge, but if he doesn't think it is a good fit for him we will probably move him down to the Lab with his brothers. I believe the key will be finding someone to connect with so he doesn't feel like a loner.

That's the hard part about twins+one: Aaron & Brandon always get to be together by age, and then Justin feels isolated. Funny thing is, Aaron and Justin are the ones that look alike, and then Brandon and Justin have the closest relationship. Sometimes I think it would have been easier if they were triplets.

We are looking forward to meeting everyone from the group on that first day, and helping the boys make some introductions so they can each find a buddy for the week. (Or, who knows ... maybe a friend for life.)

How very interesting:goodvibes

Here's Ansley at WDW last summer; she's reallhy grown since this....we don't have any cruise pics in digital format....so hopefully this will do.

Cool!
I'm trying (just started) to relearn the French I learned in high school.
I love the language and I'm dying to go to France one day!
I'd like to see the other parts though, not Paris really, like the champagne region..... guess why?:rolleyes1
Seriously, I romanticize the old french towns:lovestruc

Hello to all!
Well, my older son just got released from the hospital. He had appendicitis!!!!
He had his appendix removed yesterday morning on Nathan's (younger brother) graduation day! Nathan was really good about it though. He said he would much rather it happen this week and Aaron miss his graduation than next week when we're on the cruise:eek:
He is doing ok. The surgeon was able to remove it lapriscopically so it should heal fast. The Doctor said he should be fine to travel next week. Very grateful for the timing. Too close!

We are really getting excited for the trip!! I can't believe it is double digits:dance3:

Welcome to the new families. Beth, your boys are adorable. Thank you to everyone who has posted pictures. Love the ones of castaway Cay:cloud9:

Here's one of the places we're looking forward to if we can get a ressie:

Palo for Brunch!
