Disney Dream - June 12, 2011

Rose - You crack me up with your stalling :lmao: I spend all day on the computer at work so the last thing I usually want to do when I get home is pop on another one. I usually do my stalling getting caught up on everything I have DVR'd.

Ro doesn't need to spend money on computers. She has her own lap top & desk top. Plus David & I have each have our own desk tops. He has a MacBook Pro and there's an old laptop floating around somewhere... plus parts to put together at least one more desktop...One of the perks (and curses) of being married to a guy that works in IT. Always upgrading the PC's.

Foopah - I'm so jealous. POFQ is one of my favorite resorts. AND you're just about to leave for vacation. Little over a week before we do.

Well, yesterday was productive for me. Made a few phone calls and started to pack up the FE gifts. Still need to call the bank and do a bank run for cash. Probably do that next week. I'll start ironing & packing this weekend. Only feeling slightly overwhelmed. Finally starting to feel like I have a handle on things. But I am definately glad it's June :goodvibes

Well, I couldn't sleep and then I realized... It is June yet!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Morning Fellow Cruisers!!!

YES!! It's June!! Just 11 days until the cruise!! :boat: not 11 weeks, not 11 months, just 11 DAYS!!!! So excited!!!

So, I got Connor's physical changed to 130 today, thank goodness. I'll clean house this morning, then shower and take him. Do laundry tonight. Tomorrow I get my pedi at 10, lunch with the BFF, then home to pack like a mad woman. After I get Connor from lifting tomorrow night, then I'll cut grass. oh and Colton will be downtown for graduation, so I'll have to shuttle him to the high school...I better start writing this all down..and maybe it would be better to cut grass tonight? Although, it's UBER hot today! Possible showers tonight and much cooler tomorrow....hhmmm....maybe we'll have to play this by ear......

OK, HAVE to get the chores done!! Have an awesome day ya'll!!

Hey, all! Here is a good morning, rambling post to entertain you while you have your coffee! I am reading all the posts about people packing and am so jealous! I can't pack for the cruise yet. Why, you ask? Well, my mother-in-law is a Paula Deen FREAK. I mean, she LOVES Paula Deen. She doesn't drive, doesn't work, and watches Paula Deen on TV as much as humanly possible. Funny side note......she called Paula Deen's restaurant in Savannah once and asked to speak to her! :lmao: Anyway, mother-in-law has been begging my husband and me to take her to Savannah to eat at Paula Deen's restaurant. Savannah is quite a hike from Knoxville, so we have been putting it off. Paula Deen recently opened a restaurant at Harrah's casino which is a LOT closer to us- we asked if we could take her there, but she said no, she MUST see her restaurant in Savannah. :confused3
Well, our son is going on the 5th grade Safety Patrol trip this weekend and will be gone from Friday-Monday. My husband has weekend guard duty at his base, so I had no plans. I called mother-in-law and offered to take her to Savannah. She is SOOOOO excited! Well, in the course of making these plans, my mom said she loves Savannah...(hint, hint). OK, so I invited mom, too. The plans have been all set, hotel reservations made, Paula Deen trolley tour paid for, and dinner reservations taken care of. Well, yesterday, mom calls and said she won't know what to do with herself while mother-in-law and I are on the trolley tour (she has no interest in Paula Deen stuff) and asked if she could bring someone to "pal around" with. Sure, I think, why not? Then she tells me she wants to bring my 4 YEAR OLD neice! I thought she was surely joking, but I don't think she was. We leave in 2 days and I may have to drive for 7 hours with a Paula Deen groupie, my mother, and a preschooler! Oh, how I wish I was packing for the cruise instead. :rolleyes1 We come back on Monday and I will then begin getting ready for MY vacation! There....now you have had a morning short story to go with your coffee. ;) See you guys on the ship!

I've spent most the morning trying to get some clothes together and made a WalMart run, but it is TOO dang HOT to do anything!! It's 97 degrees!

:sunny::sunny::sunny:

Who else is feeling the heat wave?????

Kristi - We're in the mid to upper 90's here. Probably for atleast the next week - ok, probably until September since this is Texas.

Ashman - I'm glad I'm not the only one looking at weather forecasts for the bahamas while we're there. :thumbsup2 Also, keeping an eye on the NHC satallite photos of the Atlantic. Early in the season but keeping fingers crossed nothing pops up to mess with our wonderful cruise.

Hi all! :wave2: Not sure how I missed this thread :confused3 but count me in on the 6/12 cruise!

We are frequent WDW goers, but this is our families first ever cruise (Me, DH, DS12, DS8). DH and I will be celebrating our 15th anniversary (which is in August, but I didn't want to cruise then).

My boys and I are flying out on 6/8 and staying at OKW. DH is flying out on 6/11. My boys have NO IDEA we are going on a Disney Cruise. I figured they will find out on Sunday when we are getting on the bus (they just think we are changing resorts). I'm assuming they show "cruise" type movies on the bus like they show WDW type info on Magical Express?

It's getting harder and harder to keep this HUGE secret from them when I'm so excited!!:banana:

Welcome Beth! Kudos to you for keeping it a secret this long. I've always wanted to do but have never been able to pull it off!

It's a bazillion degrees in Spartanburg. We will be hitting the neighborhood pool tonight.

I made a Hobby Lobby run at lunch to pick up some crafty things for my wife that she's using to make FE gifts for the females. It was kinda uncomfortable being in their without her. Oh well. I went to Academy Sports after that to balance everything out

I'm on a computer all day too:rotfl: but I can't go on the internet.

My son and your husband could talk stuff together. Sean is always building a new computer or fixing one for someone or upgrading his or mine (which was his old project).
He's going to college for computer engineering, so it's a perfect fit.
We have computer parts (some not working that someone needs to drop off at a recycling center.... guess who that's gonna be:rolleyes1:headache:)
all over the house and screws and brackets etc.... seems to be in most rooms of the house!:headache:

Almost 90 here the last few days.
Luckily the next 4 are supposed to drop into the 60's and 70's:thumbsup2

Welcome!
I'm Rose traveling with my BF Bob and DS Sean (20).

You'll love the Disney cruise!

And I've seen them show Disney cartoons on the bus ride down.

Oh, just me on here again.
I guess tonight I'm going to try and have dinner ready before 9pm:thumbsup2:rotfl:

Goooood Evening Fellow Cruisers!!!

What a day!!! Remember I had to switch Connor's appt so he wouldn't miss the concussion test? Well, since the boys are still in junior high, they are not in the computers yet at the senior high.....SO, they could not take the test!! SO, I switched his appt and rearranged my day to make it work and didn't need to! It ended up being 240 by the time we left the Dr office...school lets out at 330...he would have went for 30 mins...so we went to Walmart in search of new earbuds. Got those and back to the HS at 315...had to wait the 15 mins till school let out..but since I was there, I'd wait for Colton...so Connor found him and sent him to the truck...it's now 345. Colton likes Connor's earbuds and wants a pair...back to Walmart I start, but Connor calls and says they can't do it...come back. TURN around and go back to get him and head BACK to Walmart again! I left the house at 1 and we didn't get back until almost 430...I feel like the afternoon was wasted!! Oh well....the only clothes left to pick are Connor's.....wish me luck. He would wear the same 3 outfits week in and week out if I let him! I've given up on the lawn....it's not that long since it's not rained this week....I'll let the boy we hired worry about it!

Lynne, you will LOVE Paula Deens!! We ate there on New Years Eve 2008...I can't believe it was that long ago!! We did a Trolley tour, but not the Paula Deen one. It was nice because you could get on and off at your leisure. There are always trolleys running, you just wait for the next one to come. I am not sure that is how the PD one is though. Have fun and enjoy!!

Beth, WELCOME!!! Your boys are adorable!! I love that you are surprising them!! Nothing better!! See ya real soon!!

Ok, I am REALLLY going to call it an early night tonight! Thumper has invaided my head and I'd really wish he'd hop on over to the Hundred Acre Woods and visit Pooh Bear instead! Ugh....or maybe it's Roo bouncing around....where is his Mother?? LOL

Good Night!!
