My 19 yr. old son is little nervous about this cruise. He has been on past Disney Cruise since 2000. All his young family members will be in the newest teen club, but not him. He’s heard about the Disney “College Coffee Club”. I tell him to go with the flow, to relax and have fun. I know DCL is concern about the 19-20 yr. olds, and will make every possible effort to unsure fun for everyone, right?

Got my WDW and cruise documents in the mail yesterday afternoon so it is now official.. they will let us board the ship.

We leave in 10 days and I still have plenty to do. I am my daughter's Daisy Girl Scout troop leader and our last meeting of the year is on Thursday so I am trying to finish the planning for that and now we are organizing a drive for supplies to help those impacted by the devastating Joplin tornado. Thankfully our friends and family are safe but there are so many who have lost so much. I would urge any of you that would like to help to make a donation to the Red Cross or the charity of your choice because so much help is needed.

Glad to hear everyone is okay. DW is a brownie troop leader and we will have 9 girls camping in out backyard the weekend before we leave for the cruise which will be interesting

I don't know if my 20 year old son will bother with the college club, he never seems to want to do anything with the kids clubs in past years.
But luckily they meet each other through our meet and also because they are over 18 they can go into the night clubs with us (they can't drink) and watch the adult comedy shows and other adult activities.
And they can go on the adult beach too.

Has Rowan been looking at colleges already? Sean's high school did a Jr. class trip to check out some colleges.

Yep, we've actually been to 2 schools to check them out. One of which is her top realistic choice. The other her safety net school - well the local jr. college is her true safety net but .. They have colleges come into her high school and talk to the kids. It's mainly been for the seniors but some of the "big" schools around here this week to talk to her graduating class. She's starting to get the list together. Possibly this summer and then next fall we'll probably check out a couple more schools and take my husband down to her see her top choice.

Rose - I will gladly trade you your curly hair for my straight

Well, last night was fun. Two trips to Ro's bathroom due to sirens going off. Had about 10 minutes of hearing our roof get beat by hail. Winds were absolutely crazy. Fortunately no damage for us. I know there are some other DFW'ers here. Everyone alright?

My brother in law was out at the Ranger game when they evacuated them due to the weather. Heard they had to evacuate both airports - DFW and Love Field. Lots of big hail, high winds and tornadoes bouncing around. Normally I'm just fascinated by these big storms but after the deadly tornadoes that have been spawning lately, I was more of a nervous wreck last night than anything else.

Principessa - Were you able to get your flight out before the storms hit here last night? Was thinking about you when they started talking about hail at DFW.

Rose, Congrats to Sean!! That is just awesome!!!! and I too, will trade my straight as a board hair for some curly locks! My hair is very fine and thin. ANY amount of wind, rain or humidity just does it in!

Congrats to those that are losing weight! We really need to, but once again, it's something that has been put off and I'm not going to worry about! I am what I am! Although, after Steve's Dr's appt yesterday, she told him he has to get up and get moving. She wouldn't take his "I work a 12 hour shift" as an excuse either. I think when we are on the ship, I might try to get him to go to the gym and try out the ellipticals. Steve has bad knees, and I've heard these are easier on joints...and it would be nice to try them out for a week and see if its worth the investment!

I have my 4th Droid. I was told that the second one I got was also new....So, I've only had 2 Warrenty Replacements. He told me policy is you have to have 3 bad phones in 6 months before they give you another new one. He also said that my phone number might not be compatible with this phone? To me, that is the CRAZIEST thing I have ever heard! But who knows....I had the last one for 8 months...maybe this one will last longer? I'm tired of setting up phones...takes forever to get the apps back and set up the ringtones, etc.

I can't believe we are leaving next Friday for Disney. I know the time is going to just fly by...the next 9 days and then the next 20 of vacation!!! I have REALLY got to focus!!! LOL!!! and I wonder where Connor gets his ADD from? hhmm......

Ok...off to get something accomplished!!

Not sure if we're supposed to get storms or not, but it has been in the low 90's here this week. That's probably why I haven't gotten anything done. It's too hot to do anything!!! (Well, that's the excuse I'll use for this week. Seems like every week, the whole week goes by, and I haven't done a thing to get ready for this trip!)

I am trying to find where a post is about our Dis-Meet time & place. The only thing I found was meeting for the Room Tour at 2pm on sea day. Is this the Dis-meet also??? Or only the meet for the room tour??

I think we decided on 3pm, Deck 13 ? forward....Near Currents there is a family area....around where those big white balls (radar?) are. then we can split for the muster drill and then the kids can meet up in the Vibe after...at least the big kids.

I guess we also need to decide on a group photo time? Or did we decide after the room tour on the sea day?

Popping in to say "hi". It is getting harder to do. Alot of posts to catch up on.
I have been doing alot of prep to get my list stuff in a box. I now have everything on the list except the things I need to make. That will be this weekend. Also need to try on clothes to make sure we don't need anything new.
We made our new fish extender this last weekend. The only thing that is left is to personalize it. On our last cruise, Sydney stayed in the room with my grandma, so she had one separate from the rest. I will try to post a picture this weekend.
I just can't believe this trip is getting so close. I'm freaking out a little. I haven't had time to plan like I normally do. We have WDW before and I don't have plans set for that. I don't know what we are doing on port days. Not sure what close I'm taking....
Plus, I have the added headache of packing all of Sydney's dance stuff. The minute we get off the plane, we head to her final dance competition for this year. I will be trying to put on her makeup and costume in the car.

I haven't posted anything in awhile. My younger son is graduating high school next week and it has been so crazy!! From reading posts, I know we aren't the only ones with crazy schedules! Nathan takes his last senior final tomorrow, Band banquet Friday night, up to the hill country for my nephews graduation Saturday then to Austin for State solo/ensemble on Monday. then Nathan's graduation ceremony next Thursday.
Needless to say we are all ready for the cruise!
We are all looking so forward to meeting everyone! I was just reading these posts and dreaming of our 3pm meeting on deck 12 on June 12th

You guys are making me feel better! I thought I was the only one that is so far behind! We went to the mall for a speed shopping trip for my son this evening...it was after hockey, so we didn't get there til 8...the mall closed at 9! We still managed to get new tennis shoes, a bunch of shorts and t shirts, and 2 pairs of swim trunks! Not bad for under an hour. He's pretty much set, just need to find a pair of khakis and a shirt or 2 for dinner, and he'll be good. I'm a different story!

This time 2 weeks from now, we'll be in Florida. I may not have clothes to wear, but we'll be there! And our fish extender gifts will be too! Thats all that matters-right?!?

Lots of craziness in 2 weeks, with school ending, sports, and the busiest time of the year for work for me! I don't think much sleep is in my future!

Yes, my flight left just in time before the storm! We were scheduled for 5:10 and left at about 5:30. They kept asking everyone to get seated quickly so we could get out of Dallas before "the weather" that was coming. Then they didn't let the crew stand up for about 30 min into the flight. The captain announced that we would be flying through some "light chop" over Oklahoma. Eeek! Must have been the front edge of their tornado. But I got home just fine, thanks for asking! My sister did say they got large hail and three seperate storms passed through her neighborhood. Looking forward to a smooth flight to Orlando in June!

It will be nice not to wear the life vests for the drill so that we can go directly to the drill from the DisMeet without needing to go back to our staterooms.

Yes, Ashman, times flies. My DD and I will be leaving 2 weeks from this Friday and I haven't really started packing. I'm usually a last minute packer. But I hope to at least start this weekend to pack a few things. Maybe if I plan what I'll be packing as far as clothes go, I won't pack too much!

We are getting really excited too!!! After booking sooo long ago, I can't believe it's finally so close.
