NINE MORE SUNDAYS!!!!!!

I was just sitting outside in the sun on my deck and as much as I love that, Sitting outside in the sun on Disney's deck is SO much better!!!!!

Welcome to the newcomers!! Can't wait to meet everyone in person!! I was looking at video...I'll have to go back and find it...and I think it was deck 11? forward...there is a huge open space. Maybe we could meet there? I think it is near the Currents bar, but I think it is family space. Again, I'll have to see if I can find that video again. What about meeting the half hour before the muster drill? Or right after? Just throwing out ideas...but someone will have to decide!

I have another announcement...and although some people may say that it's too much info to share with people, I am PROUD of our accomplishment! We made our last, final, 55th payment to our consumer credit debt. We are now completely debt free!!! 5 years ago, we debated filing backruptcy and we saw a commercial for a federally funded organization...I called, we worked out the details and we have fully paid back every dime we owed! we have not used a credit card in nearly 5 years....that's part of the agreement. So, even though we took 3 cruises in that time, a few trips to the parks and other vacations, we paid cash for all of them. I won't EVER say it was easy, because it wasn't. Now that we will have a little extra cash flow, things will be so much nicer! I won't have a panic attack when the kids need money for school, or the dogs need to go to the vet. We can breath a little easier. Also, a friend of mine has already sent me a pm asking for details. You just never know who might be living beyond their means. If we can help just one other family, then it's all worth throwing this out there for the world to know!! And my cruise splurge is going to be one of the Dooney and Bourke handbags!! My mom gave me a gift card for Christmas, so I will use that too! Finally, a handbag I didn't buy on clearance at walmart! LOL

Gonna fix the kids something to eat, gather my coupons and list and we are heading out to grocery shop. I hope this finds everyone happy and healthy!!

I'm Rose and I'm a single parent, but my son is almost 21 and I'm traveling this time with my boyfriend.

I have traveled to WDW, DL, and cruised as a single parent before.
Luckily for you you found the DIS boards and can meet up with lots of people and it won't be like you're alone at all. We'll almost be your extended family

Way to go, Michele!! That's an awesome accomplishment.

I figured it was time to do a little intro of myself and family since we're now only 9 Sundays to go!!! I'm Coree and have been a Disney fan for a long time. When my husband, Vic, and I met he got the bug a bit and we started going to Disney every year, sometimes twice. For our honeymoon we did a Disney Cruise on the Magic and haven't had a chance to do another cruise since. So this cruise we'll be joined by our 5-year-old daughter Anna and it will be her first cruise.

We also have another family joining us and I'm trying to talk them into getting on this board and meeting everyone beforehand too. We're all crazy excited since we've had these reservations for a year and a half now. Can't wait to meet you all!

and welcome to all the wonderful people that found this thread!!! I am Michele, traveling with a slew of family, but immediatly, my DH Steve, DS14 Connor and DS16 Colton! Colton has been posting a bit on the teen thread and is getting excited to meet the other teens in the club! Connor is more of a "wait till I get there to meet everyone" kid.

It's balmy and warm today, suppose to get to almost 80. Expecting storms later today and near freezing temps! Got to love spring!

I was not able to get the Nassau excursion I wanted - Atlantis Aquaventure.

More intro info on us: Keith and I are celebrating our 40th b-days later this year, as well as our 15th wedding anniversary the week before the cruise. Daughter Maddie just turned 9 and son Jake is 5.

Keith told Maddie Friday night that we had a BIG surprise for her birthday... the stinker We got it on tape Saturday night: as we all crowded around our computer I went to the Dream website and played the intro. She still wasn't sure where we were going with this, but then we told her we're going on a cruise--on THAT ship, the one we just watched on the computer. I think all of our neighbors heard the screams!!!! She literally ran around in circles in the front yard yelling "WOOOO!!!! WOOOOOOO!!!"

I took this to mean dining changes AND Palo/Remy bookings, also. That's what we did on the last cruise, so I was going to try D Lounge again.

they take the new booking requests at D Lounge the day you board. The manager and staff from Palo will be at D Lounge to take new bookings and/or changes.

It will probably be a long line, since we are Gold and the first day of our booking window already had all Palo brunch and high tea ressies gone!

Yay, Laura, you found us. Welcome on board! So glad Maddie was excited--very cute! The kids are going to have a blast and so are the adults, especially since we'll have all our new friends from here to visit with too!

Speaking of new friends, I know I read many pages ago some discussion about where folks were staying the night before the cruise. We're at the Radisson and I'm thinking others were there too. Has then been any discussion of perhaps a meet at the pool area or something Saturday night? I'm not sure what time we'll be arriving that day, but perhaps a meet sometime after dinner just to say hello?

Welcome Laura and family! What a wonderful suprise for Maddie! I bet the kids are SUPER excited just like ours! I booked this cruise back in Nov. 2009 and the kids are mad at me for telling them about it "too early"

You asked about the fish exchange - bairdbeth is the person in charge of that.. the cutoff for getting your names in is tomorrow - so send her a PM with your names, ages, stateroom number and last name (and email if you'd like to stay in touch)

Hi Everyone! Thanks for the GREAT welcome. This will be our 5th Disney Cruise. It is a present to myself for passing the National Boards for Teachers. Tammy, my oldest son, Eric, 19, is also a Special Education Student.He graduated last year and is now attending community college. Maybe your daughter and Eric can hang out a little together.
My two younger ones Adam 13 and Lauren 12 are looking forward to the Aquaduck and Tween club.
They love having the run of the ship. Lauren wants to check out the Teen Spa. Does anyone know how flexible they are with the age limits?

My DD Rachel & I (Tammy--abitagirl916) will be staying at the Radisson on Saturday. We should be arriving sometime Saturday afternoon. I believe Beth (bairdbeth) will also be staying there. We have not yet discussed meeting up Saturday night, but I would love to have a mini-meet around the pool Saturday evening after dinner.
