Disney Dream - June 12, 2011

What a great Christmas video!! Very creative idea. Oh, and I love your dog!!Dog lover here

We got the 6pm dining and the 9pm show as well. I think it will work for us. No kids and we will have time between dinner and show to stroll around the ship. maybe take a dip in the pool. etc. We feel, for us it will be the most relaxing choice so we're good.
does anyone know what happens on pirate night? Is there a stage show in the theatre in addition to the pirate show or is the pirate show "the show" for the night?

Has everyone noticed how much more info has been posted on the dream now that she has started sailing? Isn't it great!! Love it, love it:dance3:

Anyone have any guesses as to the dining rotation? There is only 1 five day cruise before ours, so we won't have the official info in time to book Palo/Remy based on dinig rotation.

I guess everything is new so dining rotation won't matter too much, but I surely don't want to book Palo on the night that we are in a restaurant only once. (Since it is only 5 nights, we will do two restaurants twice and one once.)

Thoughts?:confused3

This will drive me crazy if I dont see a 5 night Dream navigator until May. I can be somewhat of a Disney planner freak when it comes to our Park trips and I want to make the most of our 1st Disney Cruise.

Also please excuse my ignorance but what makes Palo so special. I know its nice not to have the kids around but please clue me in to whats the big deal.

To me in Disney Park terms it seem to me that landing the Palo reservation is like getting into Cinderella's Royal breakfast or Chef Mickey's. Book immediately after window opens or never get in

Just noticed that since we are 1st time cruisers so we can only book 75 Days out. Is there a chance we can get in anyway?

Loved the Christmas surprise video!
Michelle, my DD has also been watching ant video on the Vibe and photos as well. I have a feeling I will have a lot of alone time!
As for Palo, this is my 4th cruise and I have never been to Palo. I don't want to go alone and DD is not old enough. I really don't miss it as I love the main dining rooms and spending that time with my daughter and our tablemates. I sure would like to try the chocolate souffle though:thumbsup2
FE update- We have 11 families signed up so far. Since I have never done this before I have been researching more on FE's. It seems that the "right" number is around 20 and 30 could be too large. I had figured that we might have to split into groups. I am open to suggestions, but thought maybe have 20 families as a maximum in each group with a minimum of 10. I can also try to group them by decks or by sections on several decks(forward, mid or aft). I am also good with "going with the flow giving" (give at least 1 gift per family, but you can give more and do all gifts in 1 day or spread them out) I just need to know what everyone thinks!:goodvibes
And I can't help but asking.....
Is it June yet?!

Agreed.
Although we're skipping Palo for dinner( I think). Definitely not doing Remy, too expensive for my picky tastes. Sad though, I'd love to see it, I wish they'd do a brunch as well.

Do you think there will be a formal and semi formal night?
I don't think it matters quite as much what night we're in what restaurant as they all look pretty nice and none like Parrot Cay:thumbsup2

Think they'll still do a pirate night?
I'm guessing they will with the new POC movie coming out.

Shh.... Don't tell anyone. :rotfl2::rotfl::dance3:

We would love to get a res for brunch on this trip but I have a feeling it will hard to get only having 1 sea day.

we are not doing Palo or Remy....would love to do Remy but way too much for 4. We feel like the rotational dining will be great just doing those. 3 different restaraunts and don't you have different menus on the ones you go to twice?

That way, we don't have to worry about making resies or which night to make them. I am also known to be someone who "way overplans" vacactions:goodvibes I think it adds to the excitement!!

Here's wishing everyone a good week:flower3:

Has anyone every done a reservation at -Comfort Suites Paradise Island- while on Nassau? You have complete access to Atlantis and it's beaches, restaurants, and pools.

Looked into it today and it is the best deal for families that want this type of excursion.

Looking for thoughts both pro and con.

Thanks,
Julie :cheer2:

This will be our 5th Disney Cruise. Did the 12 night Northern Capitals w/ Estonia last June, 7 night Western in Aug 2009 and a few weekend Wonders.

DD asked Santa for the Dream cruise Christmas 2009-that way it would be "free"..Santa delivered!

There are three of us DH , DD (10) and me. We live in the DFW area. DD would love to meet some friends to hang with.

do the next 2 cruises as well!

I was checking out the menu on the Dream. The food selection sound delicious for an adult but my kids are picky eaters. Do they have kids menus? Pizza, chicken nuggets, fries?

I'm soooo looking forward to this cruise! I tried to PM Beth about getting in on the FE exchange, but I don't have enough posts to send PMs yet. Guess I need to post more. :)

Oh, and I also have a very picky eater and was wondering about food for kids in the main dining rotation restaurants.
