Disney Dream - June 12, 2011

Did anyone else see this on the main forum?

It looks like the Dream will have two dinner times but three show times. The show times are apparently being assigned. There will be a 5:00, 7:00, and 9:00 show and the dinner times I believe were posted as either 6:15 or 8:30 (I think).

So it seems that main dinner seating can be assigned to either the 5:00 or 9:00 show and the second dinner seating can be assigned to either the 5:00 or 7:00 show. Supposedly your assigned show time will also be printed on your KTTW card along with your dining rotation.

People posting to that thread said the show and dinner times showed up on their reservations. I can't see it on mine, but that could be because we booked through a TA. Just wondering if any of you had heard about this?

Thanks for the info! I'll have to see if mine shows up.

Went shopping for Halloween costumes last night and purchased some pirate gear for the cruise. It is soooo cheesy and cool – made me even more excited for June. I even purchased a dorky looking Polly. Tried to convince DW & DS to get Polly as well, but they refused. Oh well – I still have time.

Every day brings us one day closer. I can’t wait to see what magical things Disney has in-store for the roll out. pirate: pirate:

We had an interesting afternoon at the ball park today. Our son Aaron managed to score the winning run in the final inning:cool1:, even though nobody on his team had a hit during that inning:confused3.

He walked to first, stole second, and then took third and home on back-to-back errors. It was quite amusing to watch.:rotfl2: But as my father sometimes says "they don't ask HOW, just HOW MANY." It was the team's first win of the fall season, so they were all thrilled.

I'm surprised they are making Remy's so expensive. We enjoyed Palo's, so hopefully can do that again. I can't imagine eating 9 courses. I'm adventerous when it comes to eating, but DH would not want to go.

Question, if by some miracle we could get brunch at Palo's, is it worth going if you can not eat shellfish. I'm allergic and many of the picture show a buffet of shellfish.

We have Main Seating, 9pm show. Not sure if the kids will go to any shows this time. That is prime time at the kids club, which they didn't like to miss last time.

Got back from Toronto last night. Nice to be home. First stamp in my passport: so excited. I have only used my passport for the cruise, so this was my first time out of the country when passports were required. Been to Mexico a couple times when they only required birth certificates.

Long time no talk, hope everyone is well. The school I teach at sends its seniors to Italy and I got to be one of the chaperones! WHOO HOOO Florence, San Giagmano, Sienna and Rome! Great kids great trip!

In other news, did any of you guys see thisthis?

We are going on this cruise can you add us to the list? My DH Kevin, myself Carolyn, our two girls Amanda 7 and Kateyn 4. We've sailed the Magic and wonder and this will be our 9th Disney cruise.

Will will be traveling with my parents Sheryl, my sister Brenda, my sister in law Tracy who is hearing impaired and my aunt Pat and uncle Dennis all who have sailed DCL before. We have three inside cabins that we booked in November 2009 and they are all still in gty status.

We are celebrating my husbands life and my aunt and uncles 50th anniversary.

My DH, a non smoker, was diagnosed with stage 3 inoperable lung cancer. His journey during and after chemo and radition are a miracle and so far the tumor growth has ceased.

GOOD MORNING FELLOW CRUISERS!!!

Welcome HappyGilmore! What a wonderful cruise you will have! Congrats to your DH! AWESOME news!!!

Can someone help me? I have pulled up our ressie on disneycruise.com and I don't see where they have assigned us a dining or show time? Am I not looking at the right spot? Am I just over looking it? Can someone tell me where to find this information? THANKS!!

Thursday was a good football day! Our team WON! They were playing an undefeted team...and one that we have not beat at this level since our Seniors played them 5 years ago! Friday night our HS also won! On a scary note....our band went behind the bleachers to where the band truck was parked to warm up before half time. There were a few kids back there smoking pot. One of the seniors in the band walked over and asked them to leave. The boy smoking, blew the smoke into the senior's face. Unbeknownst to everyone, he is allergic to an ingredient in pot and he had a severe, anaphalactic reaction. Couldn't breath, throat closing up. Someone ran to the ambulance and they ran back with a gurney and a epinepherin IV. They took him to the ER where his parents met him. He is totally fine now, marched with us yesterday and even beat us home Friday night. By the time they got him to the hospital he was fine. Saturday was a band competition where we took first place in our class, first runner up to the grand champ, 2nd in drum major and drum line and 3rd in flag corp.!! It was a good weekend for the Hurricane Redskins!!

Fab5, Congrats to your son!! Like your dad said, they just count how many!!!

OK, time to get this house in shape! We have been in dump and run mode since Thursdsay! I cleaned pretty good on Wednesday, so really, it's just a bunch of clutter! Then I'll fix a pot of chili, put a fire in the fireplace and make a cake. Have to tried the new Duncan Hines Decedant cake mixes?? OMG!! SO good!! Colton needs to make a cell out of cookie dough, fruit roll ups, sprinkles, etc. so that will be the project for this afternoon!!!

Have a Dream of a day!
Michele

I FOUND IT!!

Just says Second Seating, 5pm show. Would have rathered the 7pm show..then we could hang out a bit longer, then dress and go to the show and dinner right after. Oh well, we'll figure it out......

Welcome HappyGilmore! What a great way to celebrate everything that your family has to be thankful for.

Update on the dieting front: I've lost 20 lbs now and DH has lost 32. (No far men always lose faster.) We both have a long way to go, but I'm thrilled with the progress. I told DH that I may actually try to run the Castaway 5k to give me another goal to get fit, not just lose weight. I'm not a runner, so that may not happen, but you neve know. What is really exciting is that I still lost weight while being away at work meetings the last 2 weeks.

Have a great week.

I've been to Palo a bunch of times and I don't eat ANY seafood! But still very worth it to me, and others I know :thumbsup2:goodvibes

I'd love to go!!!! Lucky you!

(of course for what I'm spending on this trip I could go to Europe too, just probably by myself.... which isn't a bad thing either;) )

Italy is second on my list after France:love::lovestruc

Did you ask to be switched -- or is there a wait list you could get on?

Awesome job!:thumbsup2:cool1:

So how have you been doing it?
What kind of dieting, exercise? If you don't mind my asking.:goodvibes

Just made our reservations for pre-cruise. :yay: Staying at the Contemporary. We are only going Thursday and Friday to MK and Epcot, so I thought being in a resort with access monorail would save time.

Saturday, we are going to spend at the Cape. Not sure what we are doing yet. DH wants to go deep sea fishing: never been before. We could also go to Kennedy. If anyone has a favorite thing to do, suggestions are always welcome.

We have been doing Slimfast, eating alot of fruits and veges, and walking whenever possible. DH has a sweet tooth, so he likes this one.

Great job Teresa!:thumbsup2
How do you diet with kids at home, that must be hard:confused3
I'm glad mine is at college now, so I don't keep junk in the house.
He's so underweight that my house always has to be filled with high calorie stuff when he's home:headache:

Wow, what a scary thing with the band!!! I am a band chaperone and I remember how scary it was when a kid last year just had an asthma attach. I can't imagine how scary that must have been. Glad he is ok!

Congrats on your son's baseball score. What an amazing moment!!

Thanks for the info on the show seating. I need to contact my TA.

I wanted to find out what everyones plans are for the nausau day. We haven't decided yet. Don't really want to do a beach since we will have that with castaway key. Atlantis doesn't really interest us since we have Schlitterbahn right down the street. So, what's everyone doing at that port??
