Disney Dream - June 12, 2011

Hi Rachel and Tammy! It's great to finally "see" you!!! Love that picture too!!!

I've been busy planting flowers the last week. Trying to "pretty up" our new patio and deck. Going to have friends over for the 4th, so theres a lot that needs to be done in the next few days. Thankfully, the weather is going to cooperate and instead of being in the 90s, it will only be in the 70s and 80s! Today, I think, 85, then 75s for the next 2 days, then back in the 80s, but that's okay, I LOVE it! It will be much nicer for cutting grass, trimming bushes and cleaning the patio furniture.

Can't wait to see more photos!!!

Just got back from our backpacking trip. It was the third for my oldest, the second for my youngest and first for my wife. It was GLORIOUS! I hope to share some pics soon!

Here are some pictures from our Disney Magic cruise in Oct. 2007:

My wonderful late husband, Danny, along with me, and my daughter, Rachel, waiting for the shuttle to the Port. We had such a wonderful time. Unfortunately, I lost my husband to a heart attack last December, but we have such wonderful memories.

Ashman, what a beautiful family you have! The stream looks quite inviting!! After the hot and humid days we've had, I would have welcomed that myself! Today is MUCH cooler! Not even 70 yet and the humidity has bottomed out! (and that is why I am going to tackle the dreaded chore of trimming the bushes today. blah!)

Tammy, thank you for sharing the photos of Danny with us! What wonderful memories!! Deck 4 is one of my favorite spots as well as those bowed windows on deck 9 by the pool. There's such a nice breeze that blows through there and you can watch the ocean go by.... It makes me wonder even more, how the Dream will look! Will we have a deck 4? will there be those wonderful seats?

I'm so sorry you lost him. But glad you have so many happy memories with him.
Another cruiser on the BOB cruise in 2009, as well as our KK cruise in 2007..
GOS- (she's been on many other Disney cruises as well as those so some of you may have seen her on other forums), she just lost her husband less than a month ago.
So sad.
But we've all become so close we're all staying in touch with her and although she planned a cruise for 2011 in October with a bunch of our previous cruisers.... she was going to cancel.... but many have talked her into still sailing with them

Hey everyone! We just booked this cruise today and I went right on the DIS boards to join the cruise meet. We went on our first cruise just a few weeks ago on the May 26th Magic cruise in the Med. We absolutely fell in love with cruising and with DCL. We are Mike, me (Kara), DD Julia (will be 11 when we cruise) and DD Emma (who will be 8 when we cruise). We live in Greenville, SC. I noticed that there is someone in Spartanburg on the boards. I started to read through what was already posted here and then realized that there are 50 pages! I'll get back to you next Tuesday when I finally finish reading it all.
We participated in the FE exchange before and would love to do it again. We didn't participate in much more than that with our DIS board crew because my girls refused to go into the kids clubs. Hopefully it will be different the next time around.
