Just back from our July 4th 4 night cruise. We are first time cruisers - we had a great time and enjoyed the cruise. We booked an 11C and did not receive an upgrade. However, we were placed in a handicap accessible room. Due to this our room was quite large. We loved the magical porthole - really seemed like you were looking out a window.

I am sure that our cruise was completely booked - at times it felt very crowded. We stayed at the Hyatt the night before the cruise and received a boarding number of 2. We would stay at the Hyatt again and suggest it to others.

We boarded the ship and went straight to Cabanas to eat lunch - following lunch we rode the Aquaduck twice and spent some time in the pool. My 8 year also rode the Mickey Slide several times. At 1:30 we went to our room to drop off our carry on bags. We then went to the Club and Lab for open house. We attended the life boat drill and went straight to the sail away party. Following the party returned to our room to find that our luggage had been delivered. Got ready for dinner at 5:45.

Our dining assignment was Royal Palace, Animators Palette, Enchanted Garden, Enchanted Garden. We were a table for four even though there were only three of us. We liked Royal Palace the least. The restaurant was very loud and the food was not as good as the other nights. We had nice servers. I would not say that we received the most outstanding service ever. There were times that we needed our drinks refilled and we had to ask.

We saw the show the Golden Mickeys and it was a great show. We enjoyed it.

The next day we had booked the Blue Lagoon Dolphin Encounter. The Encounter itself was a lot of fun. However, the process of getting to the encounter was long and my 8 year old was impatient. We meet in the theater at 9:30 it was 10:30 before we left the boat and after a walk to the shuttle boat and then the boat ride to blue lagoon - it was around 11:15 and then you listen to a presentation about dolphins. Around 11:30 before we were in the water with the dolphins. After our time with the dolphins we ate lunch and stayed on the Island until the 2:00.

We ate at Animators Palette the next night. This was a favorite. We had a nice table, with great view of the screens. My son loved this restaurant. We did not attend Villains Tonight. We opted to ride the Aquaduck and play in the pool. My son had a great time. He meet a boy about is age and they rode the Aquaduck about 10 or 12 times in a row with no line.

Our day at sea was alot of fun, we watched Brave at 8:30 am as a family. I then headed off to the Rainforest Room at around 10:30 - not crowded at all - I really enjoyed. We meet back for lunch. We spent some time playing the Midship Detective Agency. My son really loved this game. We participated in the Mickey 200 and created a car out of a potato and carrot. We finished 2nd and this made my son's day. We ate at Enchanted Garden. We had Pirate Night on this night. The food was good. We enjoyed this restaurant. We did not have the best table as we were in the back corner - where the servers came in and out the kitchen all the time.

The next day was Castaway Cay. I had read how wonderful it was - I was a bit disappointed. He seemed to me like a sea of humanity. We had fun and enjoyed our day - island was very crowded. We got off the boat first thing since we were on the 2nd floor - we were one of the very first people off. We did not have trouble finding a chairs near the snorkeling area. We went snorkeling first thing - it was a lot of fun. When we returned, the crowd was there. We played in the water for a while and then headed to the Pelican Plunge area. I am not a strong swimmer so I opted not to go down. My husband and son waited about 15 minutes for on ride down. They were not crazy about it and did not feel it was worth another wait. We ate lunch and headed back to the boat. We spent some time back at the pool and Aquaduck and then headed back to clean up. We attended the early performance of Believe. It was the a great show and we loved it. Dinner again at Enchanted Garden - good food - again bad location for table.

We loved our cruise - we will cruise Disney again - it won't be next year. We will have to save up for another cruise.

Hope you enjoy this review.:)

we were on the june 15th dream double dip and only felt crowded at the pirate party and sail away we were also a little dissapointed in our servers no extras or special treatment not bad but nothing special like you here about our servers were Sam and Sasha

I forgot to mention the AAA photo package. I received 2 8x10s and 1 6x8 for booking with AAA. Instead of receiving these pictures - I was able to receive a $50 discount on my photo CD. Just wanted to let everyone know that you just have to ask.

Oh, that's great news!

Wow...I never heard of that....so we just tell them we have AAA (and prove it) and we get $50 off the CD?

Unfortunately not. The previous posted had a AAA travel agent, and her booking perk was the photo credits she mentioned above. Since 8x10 cost $20 and 6x8s cost $10, shutters let her use that $50 value to upgrade to the cd.
