Disney Dream July 4, 2012

I really though a lot more folks would have joined this thread by now.:confused3

For those of you that have sailed before did you participate in the Fish Extender gifts? We did it for the first time on our last cruise and the kids LOVED it! It was so much fun to come back to your room to find that someone had left you a little treat! I wonder if we will have enough interest in this thread to also do this? Any thoughts?

I would love to participate in an FE exchange. I'm also surprised that we haven't had more people join this group :confused3 Maybe we do have an empty boat. If no one else claims it, I don't mind organizing.

Yay I am glad you would like to participate:thumbsup2
and I am fine with you organizing it if you want:banana:
Thanks for offering!

Hello! Add one (well two) more to the party :) DH and I have done several Disney cruises before, but this will be our first time on the Dream.

I called DCL today to ask about dining rotations, and was told that the second and third nights will be in the same restaurant and Pirate night will be the second night. Thought I'd share in case anybody else needed the information for planning out other reservations!

Thanks for the update! I was wondering about this.

Welcome aboard, and thanks for the info. Another quick tip, according to what I've read, if you want to be in Royal Palace on "dress up" night you should request the EG RP RP AP dining rotation. On the other hand, I've also heard that Anamator's has a special show on pirate night. Anyone know if this is true?

Oh yes, I forgot to mention that they said the dress up night is the 3rd night. DH and I were thinking to try for Palo and Remy on the last two nights, so it slipped my mind :)

I thought I'd read that Animator's didn't run the usual show on Pirate night, but it didn't occur to me that they might have a different version. I'm still debating which dining rotation to request; I figure we'll get all our other reservations set once online booking opens up and then I can decide.

I did see something today that someone had posted with pictures. They have pirate pictures and stuff...I think they were saying their kiddies may be scared, but mine would probably get a kick out of it...lol. I would like to be at RP for dress up night. Can we call and request that now?

I don't know if anyone's needing a room near the port, but I just pulled up ressies for CI&S for July 3 and they are offering suite upgrades for $99, plus you can park there and shuttle to the port for an extra $30...I think that's a great deal. They have free hot breakfast included.

I just called DCL to request RP for dress-up night. She said they changed the schedule and it looks like Day 2 is at Sea (pirate night) and Day 3 is Nassau (dress-up night). Is this what it shows up for your itinerary? My original itinerary has Day 2 at Nassau and Day 3 at sea.

Sigh -- I called DCL after I saw your message and got told there are no changes; we're still on itinerary B :confused3 There is an itinerary C that lists the ports in the order you mentioned, so I'm sure they could change it to that if they needed to. Frankly that would work better for my plans! :) I'll plan to call back in a couple of weeks and check again; if they are making changes, they may not have finished getting it through the system yet or something.

Okay, that's really strange, but we'll just check back. Either way, pirate night is night 2 and dress up night is night 3, so that should help with ressies.

Just watch, we'll both call back and they'll tell you it's the same as the original itinerary and tell me that it's changed ;)

Hey, I called DCL just now to check on the itinerary since I'll be able to check in this week. They said we're still on itinerary B, so the order will be Nassau, Sea Day, Castaway Cay. Pirate night is also still the second night and dress up night is the third night, so the web site is wrong right now.
