Hi everyone! We will be also going on this cruise. Please add us to the list for the FE game. It is me(Barb) and DD(13). This is our first Disney cruise and we are SO excited!

My husband just had an exciting job offer , so we will have to postpone our cruise plans...

I am happy and excited for him, but sad we'll have to wait longer to sail the Dream...

Anyways I wish you all a wonderful time!!!!!!!!!!!!

welcome!!! We still haven't started the FE list or anything. no one has come forward to take care of it (I think.... ). unless I am wrong?

We decided to cancel our Dream cruise and go to WDW instead for 10 days in November.

While I've heard great things about the Dream, some of the reviews regarding crowds and the pool deck made me and my DH reconsider it until our DD3 is a bit older. We didn't think it would be as relaxing as we had hoped. Plus we started to think that the age difference between her and my DD9 would mean our oldest would end up in the Oceaneer Lab most of the time. That would be fine since she could make the choice as part of her vacation but our DD3 is still too young to decided for herself and we aren't ones to put her in the Oceaneer Club regardless. That would have meant we'd have one DD with us most of the time and one not which would kind of make our family vacation not really a family vacation...we'd feel out-of-sync in a way if you know what I mean. :upsidedow

Soooo...we'll wait and in the meantime, head to the Castle! Bon voyage to everyone sailing in Jan and safe travels!! :)

Thanks! :)

I'm sure we will...who doesn't??!!! :rotfl:

And you get more days of fun if you were only doing the 5 day cruise. :thumbsup2

I am hoping the crowds won't be to bad on the cruise. But we really don't spend much time at the pools.

NAB, where are you from in Ontario? I forget if I asked you... we are in Gatineau, right beside Ottawa!

We are on the east side of Toronto.

So you must speak french then if you are in Quebec? Me not so much. The kids know it from school.

Do you have kids?

Yes, my first language is french but my husband and I are bilingual, DH works 100% in english and I would say about 10% of my clients are english too.

We don't have kids (yet!), we hope to have some in the next few years.

I will be up in Fairbanks towards the end of November into early December. Can you suggest a good place to view the northern lights? Are they even visible at that time?

Come up for the two hockey games between UMich and the Nanooks at the Carlson Center. :)

Actually they are best seen during the mild part of winter......as in the summer we have no darkness. It will depend on the weather but you must realize to see them best you need to go where there are no lights. If you have a rental car...that is the best. You can go a couple miles out of town in any given direction to see them. There is actually a website that forecasts it to tell you what night may be best. I prefer to go toward Chena Hot Springs and watch them.

The games will be fun.....my family will probably be there one of the two nights ourselves.

Good Luck and enjoy your travels.
